Chapter 247 Abandoned Cellar

Ruan Jingjing walked very fast. If Qin Zheng hadn't been by her side, Ruan Mianmian would have almost failed to keep up.

Following her all the way, I saw Ruan Jingjing carrying the bowl and walking to a secluded place in the back mountain.

Normally no one comes to this place.

There were many rocks and the road was difficult to walk on. There were hardly any weeds growing.

"Where is she going?!" Ruan Mianmian whispered in Qin Zheng's ear.

She herself didn't care, but Qin Zheng was a little dazed by the sound that came so close.

The warm breath lingered in his ears, almost making him stagger. Fortunately, he had good self-control.

"There is an abandoned cellar over here." Qin Zheng also lowered his voice.

Now it was Ruan Mianmian's turn to be curious. She was the one whose family didn't know about this. How could Qin Zheng, a sent-down youth, know this? !

Facing Ruan Mianmian's inquiring eyes, Qin Zheng chuckled and said, "I'll tell you in detail later."

Ruan Mianmian also understood that now was not a good time to speak, so she nodded in agreement.

Ruan Jingjing’s destination was indeed the abandoned cellar that Qin Zheng mentioned.

I saw her walk to the side of a dead tree very skillfully, and then sweep away some sand on the ground with her feet.

Before she squatted down and opened the cellar door, she looked around vigilantly.

When Qin Zheng and Ruan Mianmian saw her looking at them, they hurriedly hid themselves behind a large rock on the side.

When they looked over again, Ruan Jingjing had disappeared.

"Don't go over there yet." Qin Zheng stopped Ruan Mianmian from going over there, "We'll go after she leaves."

Ruan Mianmian thought about it and it made sense.

If we go over now, we will be alerted if we bump into them. So we might as well wait here. If we look over there, we won't be able to spot them.

About ten minutes later, Qin Zheng heard the footsteps of someone leaving.

He turned his head and saw Ruan Jingjing returning the same way she came.

He waited until she was completely out of sight before he and Ruan Mianmian came out from behind the big rock and ran straight to the place where Ruan Jingjing had disappeared before.

The sand, dead branches and other things that Ruan Jingjing had swept away with her feet before were now swept back again, blocking the entrance to the cellar?

If the moonlight wasn't so bright tonight, it might not be possible to see clearly without any lighting measures.

Without waiting for Ruan Mianmian to take action, Qin Zheng squatted down to sweep away the sand and dead branches, and then swiftly opened the cellar door.

The level of proficiency is as if it has been opened countless times.

Then he took Ruan Mianmian's hand and said, "Be careful and follow me."

After saying that, he took the lead and walked down to the cellar.

The entrance to the cellar is very narrow, only one person can pass through at a time. The ladder in the countryside is also very steep, and people who have never been down there are really a little uncomfortable.

Ruan Mianmian almost missed a step. Fortunately, Qin Zheng was holding her hand in front of her and helped her to stabilize her body.

Qin Zheng's hearing is better than that of most people, and Ruan Mianmian's body has been blessed by 9527, so her hearing is on par with Qin Zheng's.

The first thing they heard when they came down was someone in the dark cellar.

But it was too dark so they couldn't see who it was.

After Ruan Mianmian stood still in the cellar, Qin Zheng turned back and closed the cellar door.

Originally, there was still a little moonlight shining through, but now as soon as the door was closed, it became completely dark.

"Aruan, please stand still and wait for me." Qin Zheng said soothingly.

Then, Ruan Mianmian heard a rustling sound. After a while, the cellar was lit up.

After a brief adjustment, Ruan Mianmian saw Qin Zheng standing in front of her with an old-fashioned lantern in his hand.

Looking past him, I noticed a dirty man tied up in the corner of the cellar.
