Chapter 168 A Cunning Plan (1/2)

Chapter 168 A Plan to Turn the Tide

Lu Yi and his group are indeed still waiting for news from here.

Lu Yi had just peeled an orange for Ye Ran and handed it to her when the phone rang. He didn't answer it, but instead took a handkerchief to wipe Ye Ran's hands.

Lu Ting glanced helplessly at the brat. "Hello? This is Lu Ting."

"Hello, this is Yang Qi. I need to talk to you." Yang Qi's hoarse voice came from the other end of the phone.

Lu Ting tilted his head in surprise. Why did Yang Qi look like he had been through some kind of torture? Could something have happened to him?

"Okay, see you at the usual place."

Lu Ting hung up the phone, and Lu Yi handed a handkerchief to Ye Ran. "Dad, what's wrong?"

Lu Ting put on his coat. "It seems Yang Qi has something to discuss and wants me to come over."

I'm heading over now. You all stay home and get some rest.

"Okay, be careful on the road."

"Uncle Lu, be careful on the road." Ye Ran quickly got up and saw Lu Ting off.

After Lu Ting left, only Lu Yi and Ye Ran remained at home.

Lu Yi was overjoyed; finally, it was just the two of them...

"Ranran, what do you want to eat tonight?"

"I'm not hungry. Didn't you just peel such a big orange for me?"

Are you hungry? Would you like some oranges? They're really sweet!" Ye Ran smiled and handed him an orange.

Lu Yi grinned mischievously, "These oranges aren't sweet enough..."

Ye Ran blushed, realizing what he was talking about. "You really are!"

Lu Yi shamelessly stole a bite of the fragrance, "This one is still the sweetest!"

Ye Ran gave him a light tap, annoyed. "All you ever say is this! Hurry up and take a look at this for me."

"Look at this? A map of Beijing? What are you doing?" Lu Yi leaned closer.

Ye Ran pointed to the map, "I want to buy a house first, so that I can bring my parents over after school starts."

When they arrive, they'll have a place to stay. I don't want them to be so far away from me.

"That's great! I'll help you look! We must choose one that's close to my house. That way, when your parents come over, our two families can visit each other more often."

"I'd better win them over quickly and marry you as soon as possible." Lu Yi said, and then he acted.

Ye Ran looked at this person who was practically looking at a map with a magnifying glass with amusement, feeling both helpless and sweet. She buried her head and started discussing things with him.

When Yun Hao rushed in, he saw Lu Yi and Ye Ran being all lovey-dovey.

He felt a strange irritation. "Hey! Lu Yi! Be mindful of your behavior!"

Lu Yi looked up and saw him, his smile immediately turning sour. "Why are you here again? Didn't your dad tell you to be careful?"

Yun Hao hurriedly picked up the peeled apple on the table and took a bite. "This is really urgent."

"Oh my god, I'm so thirsty! These apples look great, where did you buy them?"

Lu Yi clenched his fists. "Is it delicious?"

"Delicious! Share some with me later."

Lu Yi was heartbroken to see the apple he had carefully peeled for Ye Ran being devoured in just a few bites by Yun Hao, that pig.

Finally, he lowered his fist, considering it an act of kindness for the day. "That's all, you've already eaten the last one!"
