Chapter 311 Living off a woman
Lu Yi drove Su Ji to Bai Yue and Ye Jun's shop.
As soon as Su Ji arrived, Bai Yue exclaimed with delight, "Little Su is back! Oh dear! What happened to you, getting yourself into this state?"
Su Ji pitifully fawned over Bai Yue for a while, "Auntie~ I missed you so much! The food in Haishi isn't as good as what you make here!"
Bai Yue laughed as he coaxed her, "Haha, really? Then I'll make more later."
Lu Yi smiled and said, "Mom, let's make it now. This kid just got off the train and hasn't eaten yet. He came straight here."
Upon hearing this, Bai Yue hurriedly went inside to do it. Qingye and Qingmu walked over curiously, "Brother Su, is Haishi fun?"
Su Jimeng shook his head, "It's not fun at all!"
Aoba and Aoki exclaimed in disappointment, "No way? Wasn't Haishi supposed to be a really nice place?"
"Who told you that? There's nothing there, maybe the houses are a little different from those in Beijing, but otherwise it looks the same."

After that, we went to a place that resembled a family compound, and finally to a small night market stall.

Lu Yi smiled and said, "I'll make it up to you next time. Don't be envious, you three. I'll take you with me next time."
Everyone cheered. Bai Yue cooked a large bowl of shredded chicken noodles and placed it in front of Su Ji. The noodles were so plentiful that they were about to overflow, with at least half a pound of meat sauce on top.
Su Ji smiled excitedly at Bai Yue, then buried her head in her food and exclaimed, "It's so delicious! Auntie, I want another bowl!"
Bai Yue naturally knew Su Ji's appetite, so she didn't say anything and went straight in to cook noodles.
Lu Yi looked around. "Where's Dad? I can't see him."
Aoki chuckled sheepishly, "Uncle Ye went to work. He said he recently landed a big project."
Lu Yi nodded, then looked at Qingzhu, "I've been busy these past few days and haven't been to the research institute. How's the research progress lately?"
Upon hearing this, Qingzhu's interest rose a little. "Fantastic! We've discovered a new type of substance that can transmit data very quickly."
Lu Yi's eyes immediately lit up. "Really? What is it?"
"I haven't figured everything out yet, how about we go take a look together now?"
Lu Yi felt a strong urge to go home and see Ye Ran, but he hesitated because he also wanted to go home as soon as possible.
Su Ji could tell what he was thinking just by looking at his expression. He took a big bite of noodles and said, "Go ahead! I'll be here for a while. You can't do anything here anyway."
Lu Yi nodded, "Then I'll go take a look first, and then come pick you up."

Lu Yi waved to Qingzhu, and the two got into the car and headed towards the research institute.
