Chapter 35 Dividing the Money (1/2)

Chapter 35 Dividing the Money

Even with Ji Yin joining later, and Hou Zhiqiang helping her knead the dough, the three of them were busy until 1:30 pm before finishing.

In the end, there were still people who came to buy after hearing the news, but business was so good today that all the materials prepared last night were used up before we could stop.

Many people were disappointed to hear the news that there was no such thing. This seems to be in the nature of us Chinese people. We love to eat, which is why people are always concerned about their appetites, no matter what era we live in.

It was rare to find such fresh and delicious snacks in the county town, so many people called their friends and family to buy them. As a result, many people who didn't manage to buy any made reservations with Hou Zhiqiang for tomorrow's snacks.

After Hou Zhiqiang returned, the three of them were exhausted from their work, but they were still full of energy because they were really happy.

Hou Zhiqiang carefully closed the door, then called Ye Ran and Ji Yin into the main room. He then carefully opened a bundle he had been carrying on his back. When he opened it, the eyes of all three of them lit up; the bundle was full of money.

Seeing the two women stunned by the huge bag of money, Hou Zhiqiang felt a little smug, even though he had been surprised himself when he was selling it...

"When I went to sell today, as soon as I opened the package, the smell spread and people all rushed over to buy it."

Those people weren't stupid; they knew my stuff was rare, so when I quoted 50 cents for an egg tart and 80 cents for a serving of glutinous rice cake, they didn't haggle and readily paid.

Finally, Hou Zhiqiang slapped his thigh regretfully, "If I hadn't miscalculated and prepared too few materials, I could have made more money today. You didn't see how many people came to buy in the end. What a pity! I don't have any stock left to sell."

Ji Yin glared at him, annoyed. "You still have the nerve to say that! Where were you before? You knew the girl was a good cook, so why didn't you prepare more? Now you regret it!"

Hou Zhiqiang couldn't help but lower his head timidly after being scolded by Ji Yin.

Seeing the two of them, one willing to give and the other willing to receive, Ye Ran found it somewhat amusing and quickly smoothed things over, "Alright, everyone knows how it is on the first day! I think Big Brother has done a great job. He'll definitely have more experience after today. Look how much money we've made today! Let's count it and see how much we have!"

The three of them happily experienced the feeling of counting money until their hands cramped. It was half an hour later when they finished counting. Ye Ran's eyes shone brightly. "There is a total of two hundred and forty yuan and eighty cents."

Hou Zhiqiang and Ji Yin couldn't help but let out two excited shouts. Although they had been doing business on the black market for several years, they had never earned so much money in a single day. This collaboration was definitely the right decision!

After calming down, Ye Ran started calling on Hou Zhiqiang to do the accounting, "Brother Hou, tell me how much money you prepared materials yesterday so we can check the accounts and split the money."
