Lu Yi stood at the door with a smile, "Then we'll wait for you a little longer."
Mike was about to say no when he heard his phone ring. He happily answered, "Hello?"
Although Lu Yi couldn't hear what was said on the other end of the phone, he could still glean some information from Mike's expression.
Mike's expression had changed from happy to excited, and he couldn't hide the smile on his face.
Sure enough, after hanging up the phone, Mike excitedly shouted to Lu Yi, "Kedi Mining agreed! And they said they'll come over this afternoon to sign the contract!"

The two walked outside, where Ye Ran and several others were already waiting for them.
Seeing Mike and Lu Yi come out, the group laughed and lifted their feet.
Mike said happily to Ye Ran, "Kedi Mining has agreed, and the contract can be signed this afternoon."
Ye Ran smiled and said, "I know, I could tell from your expression, Mike, you've closed a big deal this time!"
Mike clenched his fist excitedly, "Although I've closed quite a few deals before, this is definitely the biggest one yet."
A few people who had been venture capitalists for many years couldn't help but tease, "Is this what you mean by 'the student surpasses the master' in Chinese?"
Ye Ran smiled and nodded, "That's true, it's used to describe a very capable young person."
But I think another statement makes a lot of sense.
Several people asked curiously, "What did you say?"
Lu Yi chuckled and continued, "Old ginger is spicier! It's a saying that describes how a person becomes more experienced and capable as they age."

Mike smiled confidently and said, "I think both sentences suit me well and can describe my current situation."

Lu Yi and the others laughed, and the veteran venture capitalists next to them couldn't help but laugh, "This is really scary! It seems we're about to retire too."
Ye Ran winked at them, "If you're going to retire, you should first earn more retirement money for yourself! We closed a few projects today, and everyone has gained something."
