Chapter 279 Searching

So with a few leaps, he arrived behind Chen Weiguo and, following the trail of blood on the ground, ran ahead to lead the way.

Is it bad? The same place was robbed eight times in a row. What does that feel like?

That shot hit a vital spot, but the brown bear was extremely resilient. It swayed twice, turned its body, and roared at Chen Weiguo, who had fired the shot.

The leopard had been hunting in the mountains since winter and had seen countless battles, making it very experienced in combat. It skillfully dodged the attack.

And so, the eight men followed the dog for nearly seven miles until they arrived at a small, rocky area.

Chen Weiguo called out to Erlang, then picked up his gun and followed the trail of blood to the back.

Fortunately, neither General Bai nor Fatty Tiger had any experience, and they immediately dodged away when they saw the opportunity.

Meanwhile, Chen Weiguo hurried off to take care of the seven dogs.

Once the brown bear stood up, its front rear was protected, giving Qilang Shen and Erlang Shen a chance to use their anal-cleansing skills.

The brown bear swatted the fat tiger away with its paw, then turned and headed straight for Qilang Shen, who was about to launch a sneak attack.

Chen Weiguo stood still, but when he moved, he aimed his gun at the little brown bear and fired eight shots in quick succession.

Wen Linyan knew that this place should be far away from the tiger, but whether it was dead or alive was unclear to everyone.

Erlang made up his mind and decided to follow Chen Weiguo.

With a bang, the bullet ricocheted off the brown bear's front back and exited through its back, drawing a small spray of blood.

Outside, the group discovered signs of a struggle, with bloodstains that hadn't dried and turned dark red under the rocks.

Wang Jianshe and the others advised Chen Weiguo that it was no joke, and that making a scene could lead to serious consequences and even death.

"That person is really stubborn, he's driving me crazy."

This means that the one it was fighting with is dead; it killed and ate its flesh.

Fat Tiger let out a roar and flew quite a distance before crashing to the ground, unable to move for a moment.

Upon seeing the situation, General Bai disregarded everything and pounced on the brown bear, biting its leg again.

If it had pounced, General Bai would probably have been crippled. Luckily, Qilang Shen pounced again at that moment and took another bite at the brown bear's rump.

Everyone refused and hurriedly tried to persuade Wen Linyan to allow her to leave the mountain.

"Science and Technology, cut off some meat to feed the dogs, let Fat Tiger and Seventh God eat their fill, and Erlang and General Bai only need to be half full."

A bear and seven dogs circled around the fallen tree. Without the seven dogs to hold it back, the brown bear would have been able to walk quite a distance.

That makes sense, though. How long must Shan Xiaowang have fought the brown bear to have injured it that badly?

Thinking of that, Wen Linyan felt a chill in her heart. If it was true that Xiao Wang from the mountain was killed by a brown bear in the distance, would there be any remains left behind?

"Let the rest of them try to drag the brown bear back. If they can, they can skin it and dismember it."

Knowing full well the dangers ahead, those two still followed without hesitation; that's what you call a life-or-death bond.

The bear was badly injured, yet it was well-fed and leisurely catching ants. What does that tell us?

Fortunately, the meat hadn't been removed from the bear's belly yet, otherwise those things outside the stomach would have contaminated the meat.

We walked down the flat hill, over mountains and ridges, until we arrived at the vicinity of Nuanquanzi.

When hunting in the mountains, the dogs are always fed until they are half full, which means they will continue to hunt.

Chen Weiguo drew his gun and fired eight shots directly into the air.

So, Shan Xiaowang was killed and eaten by a brown bear? Is that possible?

Or perhaps, Shan Xiaowang also managed to gain an advantage from the brown bear's claws?

A brown bear's swipe of its paw carries the force of a thousand pounds. Let alone a dog, even a small calf would have its bones shattered by a single slap from a brown bear.

The group continued searching along the trail of blood, but what were they waiting to find? Suddenly, they saw General Bai stop, tuck his tail between his legs, and whimper, finally agreeing to walk further.

Chen Weiguo dared not be careless. He held his gun and waited a while longer. Seeing that the brown bear was still moving, he then went down to check under the brown bear.

Wen Linyan ignored everyone's advice and insisted on retreating from the mountain to find the injured or dead Shan Xiaowang.

The bear must have been dead for a long time; its bile would have been absorbed by its liver, which is why it's valuable.

The bear was badly injured, but its stomach was full of meat and ants.

General Bai and Fat Tiger pounced down, and the brown bear raised its paws and slapped at the two dogs.

"Don't talk nonsense. Let's hurry home. What if he has some ulterior motive? How will you explain it to Uncle Sheng, Aunt Sheng, and his wife later?"

Erlang was quick-witted enough to dodge, and the brown bear's small paw brushed against Erlang's buttocks, leaving a cluster of blood droplets.

Dogs have no sense of reason; they know their owner is up to no good, so they all just lie here and don't move an inch.

Qilang Shen was originally hiding in front of the brown bear, planning to take another bite when he found an opportunity. Suddenly, he saw the brown bear turn around, so Qilang Shen immediately turned around and ran away.

When Chen Weiguo saw that Wang Jianshe and Gao Haining had caught up, he immediately smiled and said, "Thanks, brother."

Chen Weiguo gritted his teeth and decided to take the risk. If he guessed right, he could make a small profit.

Chen Weiguo went to great lengths, but finally managed to bandage up the dog's wounds.

Erlang Xiangtou is a bad dog, a big dog that has just come of age. He is timid but has a wild mind, and he is afraid of everything.

"Come on, don't worry about who's behind us, whether it's Shan Xiaowang or someone else. Even if you believe us, do you really think eight of us with eight guns can be afraid of a tiger?" Wang Jianshe laughed heartily.

"What the hell? Xiping, is he crazy? He knows there are no tigers in those mountains, and he might have just fought a brown bear, and you still go looking for him?"

All eight shots hit the bear's head, smashing it to pieces. The little guy fell to the ground, but he could still move.
