Hua Hua seemed surprised to see Sheng Xiping return, and paused for a moment upon seeing him.
He then came over and rubbed his head against Sheng Xiping, making purring noises.
"Hua Hua, long time no see." Sheng Xiping smiled, reached out and rubbed Hua Hua's big head, then scratched its chin.
Hua Hua seemed to be enjoying herself, squinting her eyes and making snoring noises.
"Come in." Sheng Xiping stepped aside to let Huahua in, then closed the door.
If Hua Hua comes back, we can't lock the door anymore, in case it leaves again in the evening?
Hua Hua stepped into the house, first wandering to the east room, where she rubbed against Zhang Shuzhen and the others, sticking close to them.
After looking around and not finding Sheng Xinhua and Sheng Xinyu, he turned around and came out, bursting open the door to the west room.
Seeing the two children sleeping on the kang (a heated brick bed) in the west room, Huahua jumped onto the kang as well, lay down at the end of the kang, and closed her eyes to sleep.
When Zhang Shuzhen came over and saw her, she laughed, "Ever since your dad went up the mountain to work, Huahua has come back to stay for one night almost every other day."
Every time, wherever the two children are, it is there too, lying on the edge of the kang (a heated brick bed) watching over them.
This tiger is like family; if you didn't know better, you'd think it was some kind of spirit. It's so well-behaved.
“Your dad and I have discussed it, and we’re not moving. We’ll stay at the forest farm. What if Huahua comes back and can’t find her way home if we move?”
After raising animals for a long time, you develop feelings for them, just like you would for family members.
Especially a sensible tiger like Hua Hua, who would be willing to abandon it?
"Your dad and I have been living in these mountains since we were in our twenties. We've gotten used to it over the years."
The town is crowded, and the living quarters are cramped. Plus, it's noisy with so many people. I stayed there for a few days when Yueyue and Qiqi celebrated their birthdays, and I really didn't like it.
“You young people are ambitious and unwilling to spend your whole lives in the mountains. It’s good to go out and see the world.”
We're getting old and don't want to move, so we'll stay in the forest farm.
Look at our place, with mountains and water, you can see far into the distance, it's so comfortable.

When children grow up, they need to be allowed to fly solo. Parents shouldn't be too selfish and insist on keeping their children by their side.

The two girls were sitting on small stools in the outer room, peeling garlic cloves bit by bit.
