Zhou Mingyuan himself came from the Songjianghe Forestry Bureau and still has a partnership with the No. 1 Ginseng Farm, so of course he knows that the beverage factory makes money.
Therefore, Sheng Xiping directly suggested that Guo Shouye go to Zhou Mingyuan.
The investment deal was finalized, and the rest could be handled by Guo Shouye and Zhou Mingyuan. Sheng Xiping had other things to do and didn't have time to get involved.
Besides, the company's business is already quite diverse, and we simply can't manage to get involved in other areas.
The class taught by Zhou Qinglan took the college entrance examination this year. After the exam, the students were on vacation, and Zhou Qinglan could finally breathe a sigh of relief and rest for a while.
Sheng Xinhua graduated from elementary school this year. He took the entrance exam for junior high school on the 10th, and then the school held a graduation party before the holiday.
This was probably the most relaxing holiday of Sheng Xinhua's student life; he had no homework and could play as much as he wanted.
Sheng Xinyu is in fourth grade, and Sheng Xinyue and Sheng Xinqi are in first grade. They don't have much homework during the holidays, and as soon as the holidays start, the children clamor to go back to the forest farm.
"Dad, Mom, Qinglan doesn't have much to do this summer vacation, she doesn't need to teach any students, and Xinhua doesn't have any homework this summer either."
I'm thinking we can't let the kids run wild all the time, so I'll take them out for a walk. What do you two think? Shall we go together?
Sheng Xiping called his parents to discuss going out for fun.
While my parents are still young and able to get around, I'll take them to different places to see the sights.
When they get older, even if they want to go out, they won't have the physical strength.
"Okay, then ask Qinglan and the children if they'd like to go back to our hometown for a visit."
If they want to go, we can go together, go back to our hometown for a few days, and then go somewhere else to travel.
When people reach the age of Sheng Liancheng and Zhang Shuzhen, they start to reminisce about the past, miss their hometown and their relatives, and always think about going back to visit.
Even though their parents have passed away back in their hometown, they still talk about it from time to time.
Therefore, when Sheng Xiping asked his parents for their opinions, Sheng Liancheng said that he wanted to go back to his hometown.
"What's there to be happy or not happy about? It's just a trip, so it doesn't matter where we go. The kids haven't been back to their hometown yet, so it's a good opportunity to go back and visit them."
Zhou Qinglan was also on the phone and, upon hearing her in-laws' words, immediately spoke up.
Zhou Qinglan had no objection. The children didn't understand anything and didn't care where they went, as long as they had something to do.
So, Sheng Xiping told his parents to pack their things and get ready, and that he would go to the forest farm to pick them up later.
On July 15th, Sheng Xinyu and his friends returned to school to hear their grades and collect their holiday homework. Sheng Xiping drove back to the forest farm to pick up Sheng Liancheng and his wife and bring them to Songjianghe.
On the 16th, the group boarded a train to Dalian, where they stayed for two days, enjoying the seaside scenery and food before taking a ferry across the sea.
It was the children's first time on a ship, and everything was new and exciting. They insisted on playing on the deck and didn't want to go back to the cabin.
"Wow, look! There's a bird! Is it a seagull?"
The children were overjoyed to see seabirds flying around the ship, shouting and cheering.
Sheng Xiping and Zhou Qinglan stood side by side on the deck, the sea breeze caressing their faces, watching the children jump around with smiles.
"Xinhua, Xinyu, calm down and don't run around." Zhou Qinglan was worried about the children and quickly told them to be careful.
"Okay, Mom."
Sheng Xinhua has grown up and is quite like a big brother. Together with Sheng Xinyu, they held their sister's hand and watched the white waves behind the boat and the seabirds flying overhead.
The journey from Dalian to Yantai by ship takes about seven or eight hours.
At first, the children found it quite novel, jumping and cheering excitedly. But after a while, they got bored.
Looking at the sea and waves became boring, and the more I looked, the dizzier I felt.
Upon seeing this, Sheng Xiping quickly led the children to the cabin to rest.
Before boarding the ship, Zhang Shuzhen and Zhou Qinglan bought a lot of food, which they then used to entertain the children.
After the little ones had eaten and drunk their fill, they lay on the bed and took a nap. When they got up again, more than half the time had passed. If they just held on a little longer, they would arrive at their destination.
"Second Uncle, Second Aunt, Brother, Sister-in-law, we've been waiting for you to come."
Upon hearing the news, Sheng Xiyun and his son arrived at the dock early to wait. When they saw the Sheng family from afar, they quickly squeezed forward and greeted them warmly.
"Oh my, is this my brother's kid? I haven't seen him in years, he's grown so much! He's really a sight to behold."
Sheng Xincheng and Sheng Xinyue also came forward to greet Sheng Liancheng and the others. "Second Grandpa, Second Grandma, Uncle, Aunt, it's been a long time."
Sheng Xincheng and Sheng Xinyue followed Sheng Xiping around the country to trade goods a few years ago. Later, they engaged in the export business of textiles such as cotton and linen, embroidery, and lace.
In the past two years, the company's trade volume with Russia has increased year by year, and the demand for textiles has increased significantly.
With Sheng Xiping's support, the two brothers returned and set up a factory specializing in processing various cotton and linen textiles.
The factory is doing very well now, and the two of them are always busy and rarely seen.
If it weren't for the fact that Sheng Xiping's family had come, even Sheng Xiyun would have had a hard time finding his two sons.
Sheng Xiyun is a bit older than Sheng Liancheng. She retired a couple of years ago and now does nothing but stay at home and help take care of her grandchildren.
Relatives meeting is naturally a joyous occasion, but the dock is not a place for conversation amidst the hustle and bustle.
"Uncle, Auntie, let's go home. Your niece-in-law and the others are waiting for us."
Sheng Xiyun and his son came forward to help with the luggage, and the group left the dock and got into the car to head back.
