Chapter 188 Jackal Alliance
"Alright, let's follow the footprints and find it, and meet this leopard along the way."
Having such a group of brothers who stand shoulder to shoulder despite knowing the danger is something that would move anyone.

The farm is surrounded by open space, but it is not far from the woods.

Without the leopard's tracks, the group had no choice but to follow the jackal's footprints.
After walking another hundred meters or so, we could see leopard tracks again. The leopard tracks were mixed with jackal tracks, and the trail continued for a while longer.
Then the group discovered bloodstains on the ground, as well as traces of wild animals eating.
Sheng Xiping looked up at the surrounding trees and noticed something hanging on one of them.
Sheng Xiping raised his hand to shield his eyes from the sunlight, and upon closer inspection, he recognized it as the sheep that had been snatched away by the leopard earlier.
The hind half of the sheep had been eaten, leaving only the sheep's head with two front legs and the sheep's skeleton still attached.
The leopard stored it in a tree branch to prevent it from being stolen by other animals.
The group searched the surrounding area for a while, but apart from the footprints on the ground, they found no trace of the leopard or the jackal.
“Let’s go back first, have a meal, and then go to my master’s place to ask my eldest and second eldest brothers for help.”
Hunting a leopard is much more difficult than hunting a jackal; Sheng Xiping alone probably can't manage it.
Wang Jianshe and his men lacked hunting experience; even if they spotted a leopard, it would likely be a wasted effort.
We need the Liu brothers' help with this.
And so, the group returned to the forest farm and each went home to have a meal.
Afterwards, Sheng Xiping left his home and went straight to the Liu family's house in Dajianchang.
On the Liu family's side, Qin Qiuyan was busy with her two daughters-in-law.
With the Lunar New Year approaching, who wouldn't be preparing something delicious? My family is busy making braised meat and dough.
The Liu family was quite puzzled when they saw Sheng Xiping.
"Hey, Xiping, what brings you here today? Is things not busy at home? Is there something important that happened?"

“Master, I can fight the jackal with my brothers, but not this leopard.”
That thing is too agile; my younger brothers are new to hunting and their handling isn't good enough.
So I thought I'd ask my older brothers for help to kill that leopard, to stop it from constantly coming into the village and harming the livestock.
Liu Changde sat there, took several puffs of his cigarette, and then looked up at Sheng Xiping.
"Child, did you notice? That leopard has teamed up with the jackal. These two together are not easy to fight."
Liu Changde is so old, he's seen it all, and he immediately saw through the oddities.
In fact, Sheng Xiping had a pretty good idea of what was going on, but he thought it was unlikely.
Leopards and jackals are natural enemies, so how could these two creatures team up? Do animals really have such high intelligence?
“Xiping, you shouldn’t disbelieve what your master says. It’s not impossible.”
I suspect that while you were fighting those jackals, you had the leopard watching nearby.
Later, you injured the leopard and rescued General Black; those two jackals are probably lurking somewhere too.
Meanwhile, Qin Qiuyan, who was making dough, spoke up in support of her husband.
Liu Changde and Qin Qiuyan are both veteran hunters. If they both say so, why wouldn't Sheng Xiping believe it?
The world is full of wonders, and it is not impossible for two originally hostile parties to unite when faced with a common enemy.
If that's the case, then things will really get complicated.
Jackals, with their keen sense of smell and alert nature, are responsible for standing guard and keeping watch. Leopards, with their excellent jumping ability and climbing skills, are quick to move and have strong fighting power; they are responsible for hunting pigs and sheep.
The combination of these two is far more formidable than a single leopard or a pack of jackals, making them extremely difficult to deal with.
And most importantly, leopards are bad for dogs.
Dogs are terrified of animals like tigers and leopards. When they see a leopard, they lose all their bravado and want to hide with their tails between their legs. What to do when there's not even a peep?
"Master, what should we do?" Sheng Xiping had never encountered such a situation in either of his two lives, and he was truly at a loss.
