"Be careful, these wolves are too vicious. They pick up injured or dead wolves and use them as shields."
"When they're not around, they're still potential food for wolf packs." Guo Yongping shook his head and casually explained.
No one dared to be negligent. They raised their guns, aimed at the flickering lights behind them, and waited for the wolf to come within a certain range before pulling the trigger.
So Guo Yongping wanted to lead everyone there and then find a way to take advantage of the terrain to deal with the wolves.
The problem was that they were all guys in their seventies, and their teeth were bad. Also, the meat was cut particularly thin, but it still tasted pretty good.
The howls of wolves, one from the east and one from the west, confirmed He Yingbo's guess to everyone.
Wolves are cunning and generally adept at tactical maneuvering, such as tracking, ambushing, and encircling. They are very skilled at these tactics.
Wolves have strong backs, and with He Yingbo's full-force strike, a cracking sound was heard as the wolf's spine was broken.
"Okay, I'll follow his arrangements."
That was a message to the wolves lying in ambush behind them; the two-legged creatures had changed their route.
After seven weeks in the hut, the fire was lit again, but no one dared to go back to sleep outside the hut; they only talked and chatted around the fire.
After everyone finished packing up, they extinguished the fire and then each carried their own baggage.
Before the wolves die, their carcasses become food for the pack.
"You beast, get out of here!" Suddenly, Guo Yongping shouted angrily, turned his gun around, swung the butt of the gun, and smashed it right down on the wolf's waist.
In that season, it gets light early, usually between 7 and 8 a.m., and it's quite bright inside. Once it's light, it's much easier to deal with the wolves.
However, it was too late for regrets now, so they could only grit their teeth and keep going, knowing that things would be worse once they got back to the forest farm.
"Those were not originally outsiders of the wolf pack; they were either old and strong, or they had been injured while hunting, belonging to the highest caliber of the wolf pack."
So Guo Yongping's idea was that we should retreat to this side of the shack and just hold out for another two hours.
Among those people, I killed or wounded the fewest wolves, and I used up my bullets the slowest.
The little guy was already used to following He Yingbo's orders, so the group split into two groups. No one searched the seven places with flashlights, and no one guarded the danger with a gun.
These points of light drifted left and right, constantly changing positions, just as He Yingbo said, that wolves could actually switch positions and cover each other.
"Stop talking nonsense, cover your reload." He Yingbo's gun was also out of bullets.
Sheng Xiping quickly reached into his pocket and pulled out a bundle of bullets, intending to load it into the gun.
At this point, Xiao Jia had no time to chat, so she quickly followed Guo Yongping's footsteps and headed towards a rocky cliff.
Sheng Xiping understood and immediately fired a shot at the light spot behind him.
"Listen up, fire as soon as the wolf is within range, but don't waste bullets, and stagger your firing times."
When Li Zhenggang looked, he realized that the road Guo Yongping was leading was completely opposite to the direction they were heading back to the forest farm. Were they getting further and further away?
The remaining seven or eight wolves on the other side suddenly stopped their retreat before they heard the wolf howl. They threw their companion's corpse on the ground and turned to run away.
Used to weaken the enemy and clear the way for the strong wolves in front.
In my opinion, those wolves were incredibly stupid. They knew that charging down the mountain would mean certain death, so why did they still charge headlong into the ditch?
The group waited a while longer with their guns in hand, and only when they saw the wolf pack return did they begin to worry.
With no pursuers in front and no ambushes behind, if we change direction, we'll soon be attacked from both sides by the wolves.
The semi-automatic magazine couldn't hold more than ten bullets. When we came out of the shack, it was fully loaded with bullets. Before we survived several wolf pack attacks, everyone had fewer bullets left in their guns.
However, at that moment, the wolf on the other side seized the opportunity, opened its mouth, threw aside its companion's corpse, and leaped towards He Yingbo.
"Be careful, everyone. There are no wolves following us ahead."
So at that time, I reminded everyone to be careful and not to think that just because we were leaving the forest, the wolves would dare to come out.
Gunshots rang out, followed by the howls of wolves from outside the woods, as several wolves fell to the ground, wounded.
These wolves were only seriously injured, not dead, but were used as shields by their companions. Thinking about it, wolves are truly cruel.
The seven fires illuminated the surroundings, but without their reflection, the people couldn't see the pairs of firefly-like lights moving in that direction; it was the wolf pack approaching them.
"I'll go that way with you." After walking a few steps back, Guo Yongping suddenly spoke, leading the group to turn west.
And so, after some effort, the group found the carcasses of seventeen or eighteen wolves in the distance.
When we came out, each of us was equipped with 87 rounds of ammunition.
Sheng Xiping reminded everyone not to just blindly grab their guns and start firing, but to pay attention to strategy and tactics, as these wolves were not easy to deal with.
There seemed to be fewer than seventy wolves around, so the group dared not be careless. They held their breath, focused their attention on the center of the light, and fired again.
However, that would make hunting wolves much more difficult for Guo Yongping and us.
Shooting at night is a test of a hunter's marksmanship, not to mention how cunning these wolves are.
At that moment, he let out another wolf howl.
At that time, Sheng Xiping hadn't loaded the bullets yet, so he pulled the trigger and shot the wolf dead with a bang.
That shooting attack only felled eight wolves on the other side. Those eight were then picked up by their companions and carried away.
