Chapter 107 Something Happened
Upon hearing the commotion outside, Sheng Xiping immediately put down his chopsticks and hurried out.
When he went outside, he saw two people standing there, Wang Jiachuan's two sons, Wang Tianqing and Wang Tiancheng.
"Tianqing, Tiancheng, what brings you two here? What happened?"
"Brother Xiping, my dad sent us to tell you that something happened to Sun Yunpeng and Du Jiabin's gang from the educated youth team."
They went up the mountain to fight the black bear, but for some reason, the black bear went berserk and injured several people.
Someone ran back for help, and my dad said, "You need to quickly take the dog and the gun, and lead a group into the mountains to rescue them."
When Wang Tianqing met Sheng Xiping, he quickly explained his purpose.
"Something happened to Sun Yunpeng and the others?" Sheng Xiping asked in surprise.
"They had three guns and so many people, how could something have happened?"
Three guns, including a double-barreled shotgun, and they still couldn't kill a black bear?
"Brother Xiping, don't worry about those things, just hurry up."
My dad called a lot of people to help with the rescue.
At a time like this, who has the time to worry about why something happened?
Saving lives is the priority. If something happens to Sun Yunpeng and the others, there will probably be another uproar.
Sheng Xiping nodded, "Okay, you guys wait for me, I'll go back to my room and pack up."
I don't know the specifics, but if we're going into the mountains to rescue people, we definitely need to make some preparations.
We need to bring all the necessary equipment, including guns and ammunition, just in case.
As Sheng Xiping spoke, he turned and went back into the house to get his gun. He filled his sling bag with bullets, a flashlight, cigarette packs, and other odds and ends.
He then tied his trouser legs neatly with leg wraps before slinging his gun over his shoulder, leading his dog, and heading straight for the farm headquarters.
When I arrived at the site, I found that all the leaders were already there.
There were a few people from the safety department, and another seven or eight strong workers.
Over there, the doctor at the clinic is bandaging someone's wound.
Upon closer inspection, Sheng Xiping recognized them as the three educated youths from Songjianghe: Zhang Guiliang, Fu Hongshan, and Li Guangyuan.
It must have been those three who ran back to report and ask for help.
As soon as Wang Jiachuan saw Sheng Xiping arrive, he quickly waved.
"Xiping, there aren't many people in our forest farm who know how to hunt, and we don't know what the situation is like in the mountains right now."
Sun Yunpeng and the others have had an accident. You must lead a team into the mountains and rescue them at all costs.
Since Wang Jiachuan had already said that, what could Sheng Xiping say? He could only nod.
"Secretary Wang, don't worry, I will do my best to save them. Where did the incident occur? Can they still lead the way?"
Sheng Xiping glanced at the three people and saw that their clothes were torn and they were covered in dirt.
I don't know if it was from being injured by a bear or from being scratched by tree branches while rushing back, but anyway, I have injuries on my face.
"Yes, all three of them have minor injuries and should be able to lead the way back to rescue people."
Wang Jiachuan turned to look at the three people, but in his haste, he couldn't remember their names.
"Quickly tell Xiping where the others are now? Do they remember the way?"
"I remember the way. It's near Tudingzi. Turn northeast and there's a small river. It's not far over there."
Fu Hongshan was the least injured of the three. "I can go up the mountain with you," he said.
Since they were all from the forest farm, they roughly knew the location as soon as Fu Hongshan mentioned it.
"Then let's go. What about you two? Can you come along?" Sheng Xiping asked the other two.
When people are flustered, they are prone to memory errors, so being with three people together provides some protection.
“Yes, we can go up the mountain.” Zhang Guiliang and Li Guangyuan quickly stood up, gritting their teeth and enduring the pain in their bodies, and said.
At this point, even if they are only slightly injured, we must lead the way back to rescue them, even if it means crawling.
And so, a group of more than ten people left the forest farm.
Take the dirt road to the east, go north along the Baimachuan simple road for a while, then turn northeast and head straight for Tudingzi.
At the end of September, it got dark outside around 6 o'clock. It was still okay to walk on the road, and you could vaguely see the road ahead.
Once inside the woods, it became completely dark.
Walking in the woods after dark is very inconvenient; you need something to light your way.
Sheng Xiping and the security team all brought flashlights, but it was still quite a distance to the river at Tudingzi, so they would have to come back after finding the person.
No one knew how long a flashlight with three batteries would last, so no one dared to use it at this time.
Fortunately, I had prepared a few simple torches before leaving, which I lit and used to continue walking forward.
It's about 20 li from Qianchuan to the river near Tudingzi Mountain.
But they were walking in the woods, and it was dark. They stumbled and couldn't walk fast. It took them two and a half hours to finally reach Tudingzi Mountain.
"Just over this ridge, and it's right there."
Li Guangyuan and Zhang Guiliang were both injured and were exhausted from walking back.
Seeing that they had to climb another mountain ahead, the two leaned against a tree, panting heavily.
Sheng Xiping immediately released the two dogs. Erlang Shen tilted his head back and sniffed twice in mid-air, then immediately started barking and ran forward while barking.
Black General followed closely behind, the two dogs running one after the other up the hill.
Upon seeing this, Sheng Xiping knew that Erlang Shen must have sensed something, so he waved his hand and led his men to run forward quickly.
"You two rest here for a while. Hongshan, if you can still keep going, come on up. If not, go and rest too."
Now that we've arrived, we shouldn't be far from the accident site.
Sheng Xiping was very familiar with the terrain in this area, and he could find it even without Fu Hongshan and the others leading the way.
