Chapter Thirty-Six: Five Dogs Battle One Bear

Daqing is a wolf-like creature. It looks somewhat like a wolf, with a large body, a wide mouth, sharp teeth, and is very fierce.

Daqing bit down on the black bear's armpit, thus preventing the bear from turning around to grab Erlang Shen.

The black bear's slight delay gave Erlang Shen an opportunity.

Erlang Shen loosened his grip slightly, then bit down hard again.

This time, it hurt even more than before, leaving the black bear completely stunned.

The guy roared and stood up, sending Daqing flying.

Fortunately, Daqing was quick-witted enough to flip in mid-air and land steadily.

Hei Xiazi turned around to grab Erlang Shen, but Erlang Shen alertly released his grip and quickly dodged.

However, he was a little too slow in dodging, and the black bear's paw brushed past Erlang Shen's fur, instantly hooking up a tuft of dog hair.

Erlang Shen wasn't hurt, so he quickly ran around the black bear, intending to find another opportunity to take a bite.

However, now that the black bear had stood up and was clamped between its buttocks, it was becoming a bit difficult for it to strike the vital spot again.

Left with no other option, Erlang Shen could only circle around the black bear, barking as he looked for an opportunity.

The wound that Erlang Shen had bitten on Black Bear was burning with pain, and he was filled with anger with nowhere to vent it.

So, following Erlang Shen's movements, he quickly turned around, wanting to give Erlang Shen another blow.

Just then, two more dogs, one blue and one black, rushed over, followed by a slightly smaller yellow dog.

Black Bear saw that the other side had many dogs and was quite powerful, barking incessantly and annoyingly.

I figured I shouldn't bother with these little things and just leave quickly. So I turned to leave.

When Erlang Shen saw the black bear trying to leave, he wasn't about to let it go. He seized the opportunity, rushed forward, and took another bite.

When the other dogs saw the lead dog go up, they all found their own spots and pounced on it.

The black bear was surrounded by five dogs and unable to escape, which enraged it.

It straightened up, waving its two large claws, and slashed at Erqing who was lunging at it.

Erqing wasn't as lucky as Daqing; this time, the dog was grabbed on the shoulder blade, its fur flying up along with a spray of blood.

Erqing let out a howl and flew out, crashing to the ground and groaning in pain.

Erlang Shen was shocked. He seized the opportunity to jump up and take another bite.

The bite landed on the buttocks, not quite a firm one, but even so, it still caused the bear considerable pain.

Black Bear cried out and turned to grab Erlang Shen.

This time, Erlang Shen didn't dodge and was hit on the buttocks by a claw, thus getting injured.

Fortunately, Daqing, General Hei, and Xiaohuang were quite capable, and they pounced on Erlang Shen instantly, preventing Heixiazi from getting another chance to strike Erlang Shen.

Erlang Shen wasn't too badly injured this time, and he got up to continue looking for an opportunity to bite the black bear.

Erqing, after lying down for a while to recover, got up again and continued chasing and biting the black bear.

The black bear was surrounded by five dogs and couldn't escape.

He wanted to turn back and fight the dogs, but these dogs were very slippery. They would bite whenever they had the chance, and then run away, trying their best not to confront the black bear head-on.

One bear and five dogs, fighting as they went, wandered around this hillside.

During this time, Erlang Shen and the others suffered some injuries, but the black bear didn't gain any advantage either, as it was bitten several times.

The black bear was thoroughly annoyed by these five dogs, especially the one that kept groping his crotch—it was so wicked.

Elsewhere, the skin is thick and tough, so you can bear taking a bite. But this spot, it's excruciatingly painful.

The black bear couldn't take it anymore. Just then, it saw a tree nearby, so it swatted away the black dog in front of it and nimbly climbed up the tree.

While the five dogs were fighting the black bear, Sheng Xiping and the Liu brothers heard the commotion and rushed over.

When they arrived, they saw that the black bear had climbed up the tree, and five dogs were standing around it, barking at the tree.

Sheng Xiping and the Liu brothers exchanged glances, made a hand gesture, and the three of them raised their guns, released the safety, and split up to flank the enemy.

When the dogs saw their owner arrive, they barked even more enthusiastically.

Erlang Shen is the fiercest; he stands on his front legs, claws fiercely at the tree trunk, and roars at the tree.

The black bear was distracted by the dog and didn't notice the people approaching from a distance.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Sheng Xiping and the other two quietly dispersed and found positions to aim from dozens of meters away from the tree.

At Sheng Xiping's whistle, the dogs instantly retreated from under the tree, and at the same time, Sheng Xiping's gun fired first.

His position is the best, and there are no big trees blocking the way.

The shot hit the black bear in the tree directly in the head.

Then the black bear suddenly fell headfirst from the tree.

The black bear was indeed incredibly resilient. Despite being shot in the head and falling from a tree, it managed to struggle to its feet and try to pounce on Sheng Xiping.

At that moment, the five dogs pounced forward again.

That's how hunting dogs are; when a gunshot rings out, they'll pounce on it without hesitation.

Fortunately, the black bear was already at its last gasp, and it staggered and fell down after being pounced on by the dogs.

The dogs ignored everything and howled as they bit the fallen black bear.

"Not bad, it's clear you haven't given up your marksmanship."

Liu Yujiang gave Sheng Xiping a thumbs up. Their positions weren't good, and they weren't confident they could kill the black bear with one shot, so they didn't fire.

Sheng Xiping, holding his gun, approached the black bear and whistled again, shooing the dogs away.

Then he picked up his gun and fired another shot at the black bear's head.

Better safe than sorry; it's better to waste a bullet than to be careless.
