Hua Hua couldn't understand what Sheng Xiping was saying, but she just stayed close to him, rubbing her big head against his leg and making purring sounds, as if she was being affectionate with him.
"Little one, it's been a long time since you've seen me. Did you miss me? Come on in, let's go inside."
When Sheng Xiping saw Hua Hua like this, he smiled, reached out and patted Hua Hua's head, then stroked the tiger's fur down her neck.
And I must say, the feel of it is comparable to the finest silk, smooth, silky, and warm.
Sheng Xiping wanted Huahua to come inside, but Huahua became stubborn and refused to come in. She even lowered her head and bit Sheng Xiping's trouser leg, pulling him forcefully towards the door.
When Sheng Xiping saw this, he found it strange. What was Hua Hua doing?
"No, what are you going to do? We're already home, why don't we go inside and warm up instead of dragging me out? Where are we going if we go out?"
The commotion in the outer room startled Zhang Shuzhen, who was sleeping in the east room. She came out wearing her clothes and saw Huahua biting Sheng Xiping's trouser leg, trying to drag him out.
"What's wrong with Huahua today? Does it want to go into the mountains again?"
Zhang Shuzhen's words reminded Sheng Xiping, who quickly patted Huahua's head.
"Wait a minute, I'll go back and change my clothes and sling my gun over my shoulder."
Strangely enough, as soon as Sheng Xiping said that, Huahua relented and started purring at Sheng Xiping and Zhang Shuzhen.
Sheng Xiping quickly went back to the west room to get dressed, tied his leg straps, put on his tattered sheepskin coat, took the gun and satchel off the wall and carried them on his back, and then went out.
When Hua Hua saw Sheng Xiping come out dressed neatly, she turned around and left.
This time, instead of jumping off the garden cane, it came to the gate and waited for Sheng Xiping to open it.
Then, the man and the tiger left the Sheng family and headed straight for the North Mountain.
Early December is the coldest time of the year, especially in the early morning when the temperature is minus thirty or forty degrees Celsius.
Hua Hua's floral fur coat is thick and warm, so she's not afraid of even the coldest weather.
Sheng Xiping was fortunate to be dressed warmly and covered up well.
Even so, after a while, a layer of white frost covered his fur hat, eyebrows, and eyelashes.
The man and the tiger walked for an hour and a half in the snow, crossing countless hills, before finally arriving at a sheltered valley.
From afar, I could hear some birds chirping loudly. When I got closer, I found two wild boars, one large and one small, lying on the ground.
The larger one was a sow weighing about 200 jin (100 kg), and the smaller one was a yellow-haired pig weighing less than 100 jin (50 kg).
Both pigs had their bellies ripped open, and it was unclear whether their internal organs had been eaten by Huahua or other animals; in any case, the ground was covered with blood and fragments of internal organs.
Now that it was daylight, Sheng Xiping could clearly see the bloody holes in the wild boar's neck, the result of Hua Hua's sharp teeth.
In other words, both pigs were killed by Huahua, who also ate most of their internal organs.
I guess Huahua thought it was too heavy to carry back, so she left it here and planned to go back to get help.
As for the roe deer, Hua Hua probably encountered it on her way home, and then casually bit it and carried it away.
"You're amazing now, you can even kill a sow?" Sheng Xiping looked at Huahua with delight; this little guy is growing up so fast.
Can a tiger cub raised in the wild possess such great abilities?
Sheng Xiping wasn't quite sure, but Hua Hua's abilities were indeed remarkable.
Children without mothers become independent early; it seems this applies to wild animals as well.
Although neither pig was very big, it was still quite a struggle for Sheng Xiping to drag them back by himself.
There's nothing we can do about it. We went to great lengths to kill Hua Hua, so we can't just leave it in the mountains and let it go to waste.
With no other option, Sheng Xiping took out a rope from his pocket, tied the two pigs together, left one end of the rope hanging out, looped it around Sheng Xiping's shoulder, and dragged it back like that.
Thankfully it's winter, and the ground is covered in snow. By this time, the snow on the mountain has turned into snow particles that are frozen solid, so the pigs won't get stuck. Dragging them around is much easier.
Before five o'clock, a man and a tiger came out of their house. It took them a while to get to the bundle of pigs. On the way back, Sheng Xiping was tired and hungry, so he didn't walk as fast. By the time they came out of the woods, it was almost nine o'clock.
As soon as they left the woods, before they even entered the forest farm, the little tiger Huahua turned around and ran away in a flash.
Before Sheng Xiping could react, Hua Hua had already darted into the woods and disappeared in a few leaps.
Sheng Xiping was stunned for a moment, then shook his head and sighed. Hua Hua was growing bigger and bigger, and its wildness was getting stronger and stronger. It seemed that it didn't want to go back to the Sheng family anymore.
Indeed, it was meant to be the king of beasts, soaring freely through the mountains and forests. How could it possibly become a pet kept by someone else and live under their roof?
Everything in this world is governed by fate. Perhaps the connection between the Sheng family and Hua Hua has come to an end.
"Hua Hua, take care."
Sheng Xiping turned around, muttered something to Da Linzi behind him, and then turned back, dragging the two pigs with him.
At this hour, there were many people coming and going in the forest farm, and some people saw Sheng Xiping dragging the pig back.
"Hey, Xiping, when did you catch this pig? Did you go into the mountains last night and not come back or what?" someone asked out of curiosity.
"Oh, I set a few snares in the woods yesterday, and we caught two wild boars, didn't we?"
I don't know what it was, but it took the opportunity to harm the pig, ripped open its belly, and ate all the offal.
When I went into the woods this morning, this is what it looked like. I'd better drag it back quickly.
Sheng Xiping didn't say that it was Huahua who killed the pig, even though everyone in the forest knew that the Sheng family kept a tiger cub, and he didn't want others to pay too much attention to Huahua.
