Afraid of gossip, Meng Qidi nodded at him and turned to leave.
Liu Xuemei moved closer to Meng Qidi and lowered her voice, "I thought you were making these for your family. Wasn't that the comrade who came to see you the day before yesterday? Your boyfriend?"
She remembered Meng Qidi talking about engagement.
"No, it's his boyfriend's cousin. I asked him to bring some to him."
Meng Qidi said this in a serious manner, without the slightest shyness, and so frankly that Liu Xuemei almost thought she was talking about something unimportant.

Meng Qidi raised her eyebrows and followed in. As expected, Meng Daqiang was easy to deal with and could be persuaded with just a little bit of sweetness.
