Chapter 5 Meeting Lu Tingxiao's Family
The next morning, Jiang Ruoxi got up, washed up, and was about to go out when she saw Lu Tingxiao standing under the big tree at the door. Hearing the sound of the door opening, Lu Tingxiao walked over and said, "Good morning, Ruoxi, my girlfriend. It's hard to see my girlfriend. My girlfriend is very busy. If I want to see you, I have to block the door early in the morning. Otherwise, I really can't catch my girlfriend!"
"Hehe..." Jiang Ruoxi laughed awkwardly.
"Have you forgotten that you have a new boyfriend? If I hadn't come to see you, would you have forgotten who I am?" Lu Tingxiao said with a sly smile.
"How could that be? I've been busy these days. I was just about to ask you out today," Jiang Ruoxi argued.
"Then let's go to the movies as our first date!" Lu Tingxiao said.

"Okay, don't worry, I'll wait for you!" Lu Tingxiao said.
After Jiang Ruoxi dressed up carefully, she saw Lu Tingxiao standing under the big tree at the door, his figure as straight as a pine tree. When Lu Tingxiao saw Jiang Ruoxi coming out, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, and his eyes were full of tenderness.
The two walked side by side towards the cinema. On the way, Jiang Ruoxi felt nervous and excited as if she had a little rabbit in her heart. When they arrived at the cinema, Lu Tingxiao went to buy tickets while Jiang Ruoxi chose seats.
After getting the tickets, the two walked into the dim screening room and found a seat to sit down. The lights dimmed and the movie began. Jiang Ruoxi watched with great interest, occasionally eating a handful of melon seeds that Lu Tingxiao had bought. Lu Tingxiao, however, had no interest in watching the movie. His eyes kept falling on Jiang Ruoxi. At this moment, a scene of the hero and heroine embracing each other affectionately appeared on the screen. As if inspired, Lu Tingxiao quietly reached out and held Jiang Ruoxi's hand. Jiang Ruoxi's heart trembled and her face became slightly hot.
Suddenly, a thrilling scene appeared on the screen, and Jiang Ruoxi subconsciously moved closer to Lu Tingxiao. Lu Tingxiao took the opportunity to put his arm around her shoulders and said softly, "Don't be afraid, I'm here." Jiang Ruoxi blushed slightly and her heartbeat quickened.
But at this warm moment, I suddenly heard a loud noise next to me. It turned out that a few drunk people walked into the wrong screening room. Lu Tingxiao immediately stood up and negotiated with them calmly, quickly resolving the issue. He sat back next to me and whispered to me, "Don't let these little things ruin our date." Then, the two of us immersed ourselves in the movie, enjoying this sweet time that belonged only to the two of them.
After the movie ended, the two walked out of the cinema. The sun was setting, its afterglow shining on them. Lu Tingxiao took Jiang Ruoxi's hand and said, "I'm very happy today. We should date like this often in the future." Jiang Ruoxi looked up at Lu Tingxiao, her eyes full of happiness, "Yeah, today is really wonderful."
"Ruoxi, go meet my family in a few days. I told my parents that I found a partner, and they kept asking me if I had done anything bad and how could a girl be dating me. They kept asking me to bring you back to see them. Why did you fall for me?" Lu Tingxiao said helplessly.
"Well, okay, then let's do it in two days. Let's go out on a date tomorrow, accompany me shopping the day after tomorrow, and go to your house the day after tomorrow!" Jiang Ruoxi said.
"Okay, have a good rest today. I won't leave until you come in!" Lu Tingxiao watched Jiang Ruoxi enter the room reluctantly and only turned around and left after the door closed.
Over the next two days, they dated for another day and went to the department store to buy a silk scarf and lipstick for Lu Tingxiao's mother, a tea set for his father, and some health pills for his grandparents. They also bought tea leaves for his grandparents and a woolen shawl for his grandmother.
In a blink of an eye, it was time to visit the Lu family. Jiang Ruoxi deliberately put on a light and elegant dress, looking dignified and beautiful. Lu Tingxiao held her hand and came to the Lu family mansion.
As soon as he entered the door, everyone in the Lu family focused their attention on him. Lu Tingxiao introduced everyone: "This is Ruoxi, my girlfriend." Jiang Ruoxi greeted politely.
Lu's parents looked at her with a bit of surprise in their eyes. This girl was so beautiful. Her skin was like snow, delicate and soft, with a faint pink color, like peach blossoms blooming in spring. Her eyebrows were curved like a crescent moon, her eyes were bright and clear, hiding endless tenderness. The corners of her mouth were slightly raised, and when she smiled, there were two shallow dimples, just like the ripples in the water town of Jiangnan, soft and charming.
"Okay, okay, Ruoxi, you are so pretty. How come you like this bad boy?" Mother Lu said, holding Jiang Ruoxi's little hand.
"Aunt, Brother Lu is a good guy. He is tall, handsome, and responsible. You can tell at a glance that he inherited the good qualities of his uncle and aunt!" Jiang Ruoxi said with a smile.
"Come, come, come, let me introduce you. This is Tingxiao's sister Lu Zhixu. She also has a brother named Lu Jingxiao who is still in the army! Don't mind!" Lu's mother introduced.
"Hello, Sister Zhixu!" Jiang Ruoxi greeted Lu Zhixu with a smile.
"Hello, Ruoxi, I'm Tingxiao's sister!" Lu Zhixu also responded with a smile, gently.
Jiang Ruoxi turned around and said to Mother Lu without any concern: "No, Auntie, my brother is a soldier who protects his country. He can't do whatever he wants like us ordinary people!"
"Okay, okay, good child, thank you for your understanding of soldiers. It seems that you are destined to be the daughter-in-law of my Lu family!" Mother Lu said with emotion.
"Uncle, aunt, this is my first visit and I really don't know what to buy. I just bought a few things. Don't mind, uncle and aunt. I heard from Brother Lu that uncle loves to drink tea. This is a set of tea sets and tea leaves for uncle. This is a silk scarf and lipstick specially picked for aunt. Grandpa's is tea leaves and health pills I specially asked someone to prepare. Grandma's is a woolen shawl and health pills!"
"Ruoxi, that's thoughtful. We like it very much. Grandpa and grandma are in the house, they will like it!" Mother Lu said happily.
