Chapter 31 Did you hide him?
Chen Tiezhu stared gloomily out the window, his face grim. Two men stood beside him, their expressions also heavy under the oppressive atmosphere.
A thin man rushed into the house in a panic, saying, "The root is gone!"
Chen Tiezhu suddenly looked at him: "What do you mean 'disappeared'!"
The thin man flinched, clearly terrified of him. "It's just... I can't find him. I saw him leave, and he said he'd come back once he found out what was going on, but I waited for a while and he didn't show up. Chen Tiezhu clenched his fists and asked in a deep voice, "Where are the police? Did they arrest him?"

Chen Tiezhu lowered his head and remained silent for a moment, then a sinister look flashed across his face: "Go to the fields and call some men back. Get all the weapons ready. If they find anything, kill them all!"
The thin man's expression changed. He glanced at the other two in a panic, then lowered his head and ran out.
Yun Wangshu saw all of this, narrowed her eyes, and gave Xiaohua an instruction.
Then, the skinny man who was running wildly along the path was very careless and tripped over a long blade of grass, his head hitting a stone and he was instantly knocked unconscious.
He collapsed face down, and coincidentally, the grass and soil on the ground blocked his mouth and nose, and he soon died of suffocation.
Yun Wangshu deliberately controlled her speed, just in time to meet up with Xu Cong's men before they reached the big tree. At this point, they were all exposed to the three people inside the house.
Sun Baogen gripped the gun tightly, his eyes gleaming red. "Brother, what are you doing?"
Chen Tiezhu looked at the location of the cellar, gritted his teeth and said, "Wait a little longer. There are too many of them. The police won't shoot at civilians. Let Skinny Monkey lead the villagers to trap them first."
Yun Wangshu originally intended to go directly to the cellar, but upon "hearing" this, she changed her mind and headed towards that house.

The door was slammed shut, causing dust to fall.
Chen Tiezhu's pupils constricted sharply; he truly hadn't expected the police to come knocking on his door!

Impossible. If they knew, it wouldn't be these same few people who came.
Chen Tiezhu dared not be careless. He gestured to Sun Baogen with his chin, signaling him to open the door, while he and Sun Dazhi hid in the shadows with their guns.
The banging on the door grew louder and louder. A flash of anger crossed Sun Baogen's face. He frowned, flung the door open, and shouted with a sour face, "Knock, knock, knock! What the hell are you doing? Can't a person get any sleep?!"
Yun Wangshu had an even worse temper than him. She slapped him across the face, her voice louder than the sound of banging on the door, "My brother is missing, what are you sleeping for! Is he here? Did you hide him?"
Sun Baogen covered his face in disbelief. What kind of tricks did this damn woman have? She slapped him right off the bat?
The two people inside were so frightened that their hearts skipped a beat, and Sun Dazhi almost fired his gun.
Yun Wangshu didn't give Sun Baogen a chance to curse: "Your village chief said that my brother came here to climb the tree because this is the tallest tree, but I didn't see him. Tell me, did you hide him?"
Sun Baogen was furious: "You're talking nonsense!! I don't even know who your brother is!"
Is the village chief an idiot? How could he lead people here?!
Chen Tiezhu and Sun Dazhi thought the same thing. If the village chief were in front of them right now, they might not be able to resist killing him!
