Chapter 195 The Goose

Tie Yinghua narrowed his eyes, staring at Su Ruyi's back.

Without a word, she walked to the desk, took out a small pistol from the drawer, and said, "I'll lock you up, not let you die, but I won't let you live a good life either. You still have to treat my illness, don't you?! You probably don't know about those torture methods, do you?"

Su Ruyi stopped in her tracks.

Originally, she wanted to give Tie Yinghua a chance to reform herself and also wanted to see if this could restore her own good deeds.

However, it was clear that Tie Yinghua did not want this opportunity.

While Tie Yinghua was loading the gun, Su Ruyi put all the bullets into her personal space.

Then, we walked forward towards Tie Yinghua's gun emplacement.

With a soft "snap," Tie Yinghua opened the gun.

If that shot had been fired, Su Ruyi would have been blown to the head.

Sure enough, this man's hands were stained with countless amounts of blood...

"What? How come there are no bullets?" Tie Yinghua panicked. She could clearly feel that Su Ruyi was much stronger than her.

Taking advantage of her momentary daze, Su Ruyi swiftly snatched the gun from her hand and put it into her spatial storage.

She then delivered a karate chop to Tie Yinghua's neck, causing Tie Yinghua to immediately roll her eyes back and faint.

Su Ruyi took out the gold needles and pricked several acupoints on the back of her head. Then she inserted a needle as thin as a cow's hair into her brain through a bone crease on her forehead and twisted it around a few times.

Then take out all the needles, lift her onto the chair, and position her.

Finally, they used the thickest needle to prick her philtrum.

Tie Yinghua immediately opened her eyes.

However, her eyes were unfocused—she was stunned.

This is an acupuncture technique used to treat mentally unstable individuals. It can calm down a person who is going crazy, but the principle behind it is to permanently damage the corresponding brain tissue.

Tie Yinghua brought this upon herself.

Su Ruyi helped her sit down in a chair.

He used his divine sense to erase the needle marks on her philtrum.

She then unlocked the door and went outside.

The four cleaning staff were chatting idly in the office diagonally opposite.

Su Ruyi listened for a while, and everyone was very dissatisfied that "Iron Yama" had actually recovered from his illness and returned. They all complained.

One person even said he felt he was in grave danger this time.

Su Ruyi walked towards the middle-aged man who had said the situation was likely dire.

Everyone in the room immediately shut up.

Su Ruyi shook her head at the man: "I told Deputy Director Tie's wife long ago that she can't get angry anymore. This time, I can't cure her either, so I'll take my leave now!"

The people in the office all wore expressions of delight. But realizing something was amiss, they couldn't suppress their smiles.

Su Ruyi turned and left, while the four of them rushed into Tie Yinghua's office.

A moment later, cheers erupted from inside.

Su Ruyi got back into Yu Min's car.

The car reeked of smoke. Yu Min stared intently at the window of Tie Yinghua's office. He only flinched when Su Ruyi opened the passenger door.

"You... you came down so quickly? What are you doing now?" Yu Min was a little confused. "Weren't you supposed to be her health care doctor? Why did I let you go?"

"Deputy Director Tie's illness has relapsed, and this time I'm powerless to save him!" Su Ruyi shrugged. "So, tell me, what good food is there in the provincial capital? My treat!"

Yu Min asked uncertainly, "You mean...she's dead?!"

Su Ruyi shook her head: "No, she's just mentally impaired."

Yu Min gave her a thumbs up: "Great! You're awesome! Making her stupid was the right thing to do! I'm afraid you'll shorten your lifespan if you treat Tie Yinghua! People... never mind, let's not talk about it. Hey, do you like goose meat?"

"I've never eaten it!" Su Ruyi shook her head.

It's true; she's never eaten goose meat in either of her lives.

"Then you're in for a treat! The stewed goose with cornbread at the state-run restaurant in Bing City is absolutely amazing! Each goose weighs twelve or thirteen pounds! I know their head chef, I can get you a male! I guarantee it'll be so delicious you'll jump for joy!" Yu Min said, wiping the drool from her mouth. "Hold on tight!"

Su Ruyi was taken to a state-run restaurant by Yu Min.

This was the largest state-run hotel she had ever seen in her two lives, a magnificent three-story building.

The chefs and waiters inside were dressed in nice white uniforms, and the place was packed with diners.

As promised, Yu Min ordered a 15-pound gander, and at Su Ruyi's instruction, also packed a 13-pound goose in advance for her to take back.

As for Yu Min, he said he would pack up the leftovers that he and Su Ruyi ate later.

Su Ruyi even felt that Yu Min had cut in line.

She watched helplessly as people who had arrived earlier than her were still waiting, while the dishes for her and Yu Min's table had already been served.

However, those who craned their necks to wait only cast envious glances and secretly swallowed their saliva; no one stood up to question them.

The pot on the table was almost as big as the table itself, with a diameter of nearly a meter.

As soon as the pot was lifted, the rich aroma of meat mixed with the fragrance of herbs turned into a gentle mist that wafted over.

Su Ruyi identified that there were at least seven or eight kinds of fragrant and nourishing herbs inside.

Half of the large pot was covered with cornbread, and the other half with steamed buns. The bottom parts of both the cornbread and the buns were soaked in the broth.

As Yu Min placed the foie gras into Su Ruyi's bowl, she picked up a flatbread and took a big bite: "The flatbread in this soup is even tastier than the meat, you should try it!"

Su Ruyi did as she was told and tried it.

Sure enough, the piping hot flatbread, soaked in the essence of the broth, was even more delicious than the meat.
