Chapter 265 Grievance

After handcuffing Su Ruyi and taking her away, Officer Xu kept talking the whole way.

Starting with Su Ruyi's false police report, and then describing her inhumane treatment of her own brother, Su Ruyi is portrayed as an utterly wicked person who deserves to be shot dead immediately.

Su Ruyi was annoyed by his unpleasant voice, hostile and lecturing words.

Who exactly is it?

Not only did they kidnap him, they also bribed this gossipy old policeman!

Throughout the journey, Su Ruyi remained silent, while Officer Xu spoke animatedly, but eventually lost interest.

However, he thought he had intimidated Su Ruyi and remained smug.

When Officer Xu escorted Su Ruyi into the Sanhe County Public Security Bureau, he ran into Xiao Zhou, Yu Min's henchman.

Xiao Zhou hurriedly followed: "Old Xu! What... what's going on?"

Officer Xu suddenly shoved Su Ruyi hard: "This female thug from Dingjiatun! She's of terrible character! She made a false police report!"

Xiao Zhou said with a forced smile, "Old Xu, there must be some misunderstanding. This is Dr. Su, the little miracle doctor from Dingjiatun. You must have made a mistake."

Officer Xu glared at her: "I checked it myself. She was hit by a slingshot, but she's spouting nonsense, insisting she was hit by a gun. Making a false report is a waste of police resources. This kind of thing must be dealt with seriously. I'll apply to my superiors! Seven days of detention is too lenient; it should be fifteen days."

Su Ruyi looked at Xiao Zhou and gently shook her head.

Soon, Su Ruyi was taken to a separate room and her hands were handcuffed to a chair.

Not long after, Xiao Zhou sneaked in: "Dr. Su, what exactly is going on?"

Su Ruyi asked anxiously, "Where is Captain Yu? Where is Captain Yu?"

"Sigh!" Xiao Zhou sighed. "Captain Yu has been suspended and has to write a self-criticism. Nine people went missing in Dingjiatun, Ding Daguo's country. They couldn't find any clues, so in the end, Captain Yu was the one who got blamed. It's really strange. Ding Daguo has a cousin named Ding Honglei, and he's a wicked man who's trying to find a scapegoat. Captain Yu doesn't know who he offended. We're all wondering about it."

"Suspended from his duties and forced to write a self-criticism? Where is he now?" Su Ruyi gasped.

"I don't know, he's probably being held by the Discipline Inspection Commission. When Ding Daguo gave his statement, he said that Yu Min delayed the case. She said that in order to save an old man with a broken leg, she missed the best time to collect evidence."

Su Ruyi immediately thought of her first meeting with her master, Jin Dachun, and her eyes instantly reddened.

She said to Xiao Zhou, "Officer Zhou, could you help me contact General Shen Guoliang of the Heilongjiang Military Region? He knows a lot about this and he will definitely find someone to rescue me. I will also mention Deputy Director Yu's matter to him."

Xiao Zhou hissed, "I'll contact General Shen? Okay, I'll give it a try."

Su Ruyi bowed slightly to him: "Thank you, Xiao Zhou, thank you."

Xiao Zhou scratched his head sheepishly: "Just stay put, they won't dare do anything to you, everything is regulated. Even if you make a false police report, and it's true, you'll only be detained for a week."

"Okay, I understand." Su Ruyi had a plan in mind.

"Were you really shot?" Xiao Zhou asked again.

Su Ruyi pointed to her arm: "I was hit in the arm, but the wound was damaged by that Officer Xu."

Xiao Zhou sighed, "The guy surnamed Xu was parachuted in and took over Captain Yu's job directly. I don't know where he came from, I only know that he's from Harbin."

Su Ruyi nodded: "I understand, Officer Zhou, I'm entrusting General Shen's matter to you!"

Xiao Zhou nodded slightly and then left.

In the distance, Officer Xu was chatting smugly with someone, occasionally glancing sideways at Su Ruyi.

At this point, Su Ruyi was certain that Officer Xu was clearly in cahoots with the people who had framed her!

Now that he's in Officer Xu's territory, he has no idea what will happen.

Fortunately, she still had her spatial storage to rely on; when her life was truly in danger, she had no choice but to hide in it.

Xiao Zhou left, and a short while later, Officer Xu came in with a forensic doctor.

He casually sat on the chair with his legs spread wide: "Come on, let's go through the procedures."

The forensic doctor was a middle-aged woman with a calm demeanor: "Comrade, I need to untie your bandages and take a look at the wound."

Officer Xu scoffed, "What's there to solve? I've handled so many cases over the years, I've seen so many dead and alive, can't you even tell the difference between a slingshot wound and a gunshot wound? Little Wei, I think you're just being overly cautious."

The forensic doctor, referred to as Xiao Wei, replied expressionlessly, "It's part of the procedure."

After saying that, she untied the bandage on Su Ruyi's arm.

The female forensic doctor's technique was very gentle.

After the bandages were removed, Xiao Wei gasped, "This... how did this wound get like this? Comrade, have you been injured again?"

Su Ruyi said calmly, "Earlier, Officer Xu pinched my wound for a long time."

Xiao Wei turned around and looked at Officer Xu in disbelief: "Old Xu, how could you ruin the shape of the wound? What kind of wound is this now? It's unrecognizable!"

Officer Xu had expected this. He said smugly, "I've examined it, which is the same as you examining it. It's just a wound from a regular steel shot, maybe from a relatively close distance! A bullet? How could a bullet only hit her skin and flesh? With such a thin arm, wouldn't it have shattered the bone? Damn it, is her bone made of steel?"

To be fair, this wound is much shallower than a typical gunshot wound.

This is also why Su Ruyi suffered this loss in silence; she couldn't tell these two people that she was made of steel.

So Xiao Wei wrote in the examination record: "Suspected bullet wound, weapon not found."

Officer Xu, holding the report, said smugly, "Little miracle doctor! You'd better stay here for seven days and reflect on your actions. I'm sure you'll have a very novel experience."

Su Ruyi stared at him coldly: "I believe that all lies and crimes will eventually be exposed."

Officer Xu was taken aback by her righteous and indignant expression: "Little brat, you're quite the bluffer! Just wait until you're locked up for seven days, then we'll see if you're still so smug!"

With that, he led Su Ruyi inside.

They walked until they reached the end of the corridor, to the door of a solitary cell.

Just then, Xiao Zhou reappeared behind the two: "Officer Xu, what's going on? Why is Dr. Su locked in solitary confinement?" Officer Xu raised his eyelids and looked at Xiao Zhou: "Why the hell are you so persistent? Where are we going to find him a separate female prisoner's cell? I had no choice but to put him in solitary confinement for isolation purposes—conditions are limited! We can only ask our little miracle doctor to make do!"
