Chapter 68 Partiality
Han Jiaojiao returned to the ward and he was flipping through a book.
When she took a look, she was surprised: "The original German book? Can you understand it?"
"When I was in the army, many things were made there, and the instructions were also original."
"That's amazing! I admire you more and more!"
Han Jiaojiao turned around and saw a box of bananas and apples, as well as a few cans and a bunch of flowers on the bedside table.
She smiled and said, "Are the village cadres here?"
"You know?"
"You are a cadre in the county. I heard that the village is evaluating advanced cadres. It would be bad if this matter got out. Did the village chief come to you to plead for you?"
Shen Junshan nodded. Just as Han Jiaojiao left, the village chief came over with the village party secretary and Captain Hai, and they started talking loudly, making his head hurt.
It took him a lot of effort to pretend to be sick and get the person away.
Han Jiaojiao took an apple, peeled it slowly, and cut off a small piece for Shen Junshan.
"He did it for Haifang, he must have known that I was going to sue his daughter, so he came to you to beg for mercy, what a virtue!"
He frowned and said, "It is very annoying. Do you really want to sue?"
"It's just a saying. If I don't scare her, she still thinks she's the best in the world. You too, it's so annoying."
Shen Junshan blinked innocently, his expression looking very aggrieved.
Han Jiaojiao chuckled and pinched his cheeks: "You have a weak constitution and only attract ordinary women. If I am not careful, you will be taken away by others. I am so tired to protect you! You have to be twice as nice to me in the future."
"Yeah, okay."
Shen Junshan's long eyelashes trembled slightly.
She said seductive words in a serious manner, which always made him feel at a loss, but he felt warm and restless in his heart.
Shen Junshan felt as if his heart was being tightened.
He couldn't stand Han Jiaojiao's soft and sticky voice the most.
Han Jiaojiao fed him half an apple. It was getting dark outside. She reached out and touched his forehead to make sure he didn't have a fever and that the wound was stable and not infected.
She wanted to take this opportunity to check Shen Junshan's eyes, so she borrowed a flashlight from the nurse.
The village heads had just come over, and now the doctors and nurses at the clinic were very polite to them, and they all treated Han Jiaojiao with respect.
As colleagues, Han Jiaojiao wanted to be nicer to them.
But when she thought about how her husband had just been abandoned, Han Jiaojiao couldn't give them a good look.
She took the flashlight and tools and returned to Shen Junshan.
"It's a bit dazzling, bear with it and don't move!"
Han Jiaojiao coaxed him softly and held his eyelids open. The strong light of the flashlight shone on him and Shen Junshan subconsciously wanted to dodge. He remembered Han Jiaojiao's words and endured it.
She was very close to him, his breath blowing towards him, and when he raised his head slightly he could see her slightly curled eyelashes.
The tips of Shen Junshan's ears turned red again, his neck and skin turned pink, and he grabbed the quilt with both hands.
Han Jiaojiao touched his face, her palm felt slightly hot, and she was surprised: "You don't have a fever, do you?"
"I-I'm fine."
Shen Junshan was upset. He turned his head away. As long as he didn't look at her, his heart wouldn't beat so fast.
Han Jiaojiao felt that Shen Junshan often appeared in this state and wondered if he had a chronic disease.
She borrowed a thermometer: "Let's take it. It would be more troublesome if it's a low-grade fever."
She lifted up Shen Junshan's clothes and stuffed it into his armpits.
The back of her hand touched his chest, but Han Jiaojiao didn't react yet, and Shen Junshan's face became even redder...
"What's wrong? It's like steaming crabs. Are you very hot?"
"No, I want some water."
Han Jiaojiao quickly poured him a glass of water and said, "When I went back to beat up those idiots in your family, I ran into A-Long and A-Hu and gave them two red envelopes."
"good."
"Do you feel like you've been spending too much money lately?"
Han Jiaojiao munched on an apple and calculated the expenses of the past month.
It seems that money is being spent every day, but there are very few projects that can make money. She doesn't know whether Shen Junshan will feel psychologically burdened.
Shen Junshan shook his head calmly: "I give it to you so that you can spend it. Besides, you have been spending a lot of money recently and you don't spend it on yourself. I promised to buy you a skirt after I got my salary, but I may not be able to buy high-end ones right now."
"I'll dress better and make other girls live or die. After all, I'm so pretty, right?"
Shen Junshan nodded quickly. Seeing how handsome but naive he was, Han Jiaojiao couldn't help but smile.
She restrained her smile and said softly, "I just went back and beat up those guys."
"Um."
"He was beaten pretty hard."
"good."
"Besides this, don't you have anything else to say?"
Shen Junshan probably guessed what she was going to do. With her violent temper, if she returned home and met someone from the Shen family, she would definitely lose control and take action.
When Han Jiaojiao returned, he had already prepared himself mentally.
Shen Junshan said: "It doesn't seem to be anything special. Do you have anything to say?"
"No, I just wanted to tell you that I hit you a little too hard this time. I might break a couple of bones."
"As long as no one is killed, don't worry about the rest. I'm here for you."
Han Jiaojiao lowered her head and smiled secretly. These words made her feel comfortable and she liked them.
Han Jiaojiao packed her things and went to borrow a wheelchair. The doctor and the nurse came to help and even prepared crutches for them.
When we went to the guesthouse, the people there were very welcoming.
Han Jiaojiao knew that it must be the village chief who came to say hello, so he specially prepared the quietest and most ventilated room on the first floor for them.
She parked the car in the backyard and helped the man into the room.
Han Jiaojiao checked it and said, "It is indeed new. Fortunately, there is no damp smell."
"Um."
There was a hint of anger in Shen Junshan's tone.
Han Jiaojiao: "Are you hungry? I'll go cook now, it will be quick, wait for me!"
"You can also buy two steamed buns and some canned food."
"No, you're injured. How can you eat preservatives? Wait for me. I'll be quick."
Han Jiaojiao helped him sit on the bed and quickly went to cook.
Shen Junshan looked back at the bed.
Standard room, two 1.2-meter beds.
He frowned. He was going to sleep separately from Jiaojiao today. He felt a little unhappy...
Han Jiaojiao ran to the kitchen and saw some loaches in the basin. After asking, she learned that the staff had caught them from the fields in the afternoon and planned to raise them overnight and kill them for lunch the next day.
Loaches are a good tonic. They are more abundant in spring, and now in summer, the few that are left have grown fat and big.
Han Jiaojiao picked up a big knife, cut open the belly and took out the internal organs in no time.
After removing the fishy smell with cooking wine and ginger and garlic water, it was heated in a hot oil pan and the tofu was added and simmered together.
There were a few chickens in the cage outside the kitchen. Han Jiaojiao took a black chicken, killed it, and then lifted it up by its feet and scooped it around in an asphalt barrel to remove the feathers.
She cut open the chicken's stomach and threw away the unwanted parts, leaving the heart, liver and offal. She then removed the skin, chicken meat and bones along the skeleton.
The waiters at the door were all stunned.
They have seen people removing chicken frames, but they have never seen people using a machete to separate chicken skin. That’s awesome!
