As soon as Qi Ran finished speaking, the police officers guarding Qi Laoliu rushed forward, lifted Qi Laoliu up, and sent him to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Unfortunately, his asthma attack happened too quickly, and he died before he could be taken to the hospital.
Qi Ran cried bitterly at the door of the ward: "It must be because he's been too emotional lately that he suddenly had a relapse! He's so young, how could this happen to him!"
When Shen Qian and Shen Qianqian arrived at the hospital after hearing the news, they only found Qi crying and sobbing.
dye.
"Sister Qian, don't you think all of this is too much of a coincidence?" Shen Qianqian tugged at Shen Qian's sleeve and whispered in her ear.
Qi Laoliu was perfectly fine this morning, so why did he suddenly fall ill after Qi Ran just visited him?
Woolen cloth?
Unless Qi Ran did something underhanded.
However, Shen Qianqian couldn't understand why Qi Ran wanted to kill Qi Laoliu.
Shen Qian felt the same way; she suspected someone was pulling the strings behind the scenes, but how could she find that person?
"My son, you died such a tragic death!" Qi's mother, accompanied by her five brothers, arrived at the hospital, rushed forward, pushed Qi Ran to the ground, grabbed her collar, shook her violently, and demanded:
"Wasn't Lao Liu good enough to you? Why did you have to kill him! Why were you so intolerant of him? If we had known this would happen, we should have given you away like a cheap piece of trash!"
As Qi's mother grew increasingly agitated, her brothers, fearing that their elderly mother might suffer a serious injury from the stress, stepped forward to forcibly separate the two and try to calm her down.
Qi Ran was finally able to catch her breath and said, "What does this have to do with me? It's because Sixth Brother died young, and his asthma flared up. Who can he blame?"
"Nonsense!" Mother Qi retorted, crying, "Sixth Brother's illness hasn't flared up for years, how come he has an attack as soon as he sees you?"
The police officer who brought Qi Laoliu to the hospital couldn't stand it anymore and stood up to speak for Qi Ran: "This really has nothing to do with Qi Ran. The two of them didn't even have any physical contact. How could she deliberately cause Qi Laoliu to have a relapse?"
"She must have used something with a strong smell!" Qi's mother said indignantly.
Qi Ran was eager to extricate herself from this matter, so she took off her coat and handed it to her mother: "Why don't you smell it and see if there's anything on it?"
The faint fragrance had long been dissipated by the wind on the way to the hospital. When Qi's mother took it, she couldn't smell anything at all, yet she still felt that her son had died unjustly, and her wails echoed throughout every corner of the hospital.
Looking at his mother, who was sobbing uncontrollably, Qi Laoda was worried that she might have some serious problems. He pointed at Qi Ran, who was standing there dumbfounded, and said, "Why aren't you coming over to help Mom leave? Are you going to let her stay here and keep reliving those painful memories?"
Qi Ran reached out to help her mother, but her mother shook her hand away, saying, "I don't have a daughter like you anymore!"
"Boss, let's go!" Qi's mother was helped away from the hospital by Qi's eldest son, while the four sons following behind didn't even give Qi Ran a second glance.
Qi Ran felt very uncomfortable.
Ever since she could remember, her mother favored her six older brothers. Usually, the best food and useful items in the house were given to her six brothers first, and Qi Qi could only use what they had left over.
However, there are occasional exceptions. When Qi Ran helps with household chores or brings some benefits to the family, her mother will give her a second look and praise her more.
Therefore, whether before or after marriage, Qi Ran only thought about the Qi family. She wanted her mother to know that she was never a cheap commodity, but rather someone even more outstanding than her six older brothers!
Without thinking, Qi Ran walked up and followed behind her mother and her group. Before she could catch up with them, she was suddenly covered in the mouth and nose by a man in black and taken into the storeroom.
The man in black handed her a wad of cash: "Keep this a secret from everyone. This is your first payment. If you do a good job of what happens next, the reward will be much greater than this."
Qi Ran quickly accepted the money and timidly asked, "What does 'afterwards' mean?" "Get rid of Shen Qian."
...
Ever since the Qi family left, Shen Qianqian had felt uneasy, so she simply dragged Shen Qian along to follow them.
They were only ten meters away from Qi Ran, and just as they were about to take another step forward, a system alarm sounded in Shen Qianqian's mind.
[Danger ahead! Host, please take cover immediately!]
Shen Qianqian quickly grabbed Shen Qian's clothes, and the two of them hid behind a pillar. They vaguely saw Qi Ran being dragged away by a man in black.
Once the men in black had disappeared from sight, the system alarm was deactivated, and Shen Qianqian and Shen Qing resumed their pursuit.
They turned into the corner where the men in black had disappeared and found only a storeroom. The two of them crept up to the door and eavesdropped on what was happening inside.
They actually overheard the news that the man in black was planning to get rid of Shen Qian!
Shen Qian's pupils constricted sharply. Who was this man in black? Why was he so eager to eliminate her? The system issued another danger warning. Shen Qianqian didn't have time to think further and quickly pulled Shen Qian away.
here.
Deeply in love, she remains absent-minded.
Shen Qianqian then began to analyze the current situation for Shen Qian: "The man in black is much stronger than us. Even if the two of us join forces, we can't beat him, and we won't get anything out of him. He might even take us out first."
"But... I won't have peace of mind for the rest of my life if we can't find the mastermind behind this," Shen Qian said. She had a feeling that this person was related to the high-ranking official that Qi Laoliu had climbed up to, as Li Xiaofang had mentioned, and might even be the one who harmed her back then!
But she had no idea who this person was.
"Sister Qian, did you offend anyone when you were in the city?" Shen Qianqian asked Shen Qian, intending to help her sort out her interpersonal relationships.
