"I tried to contact them, but the call was disconnected," Shen Qianqian said calmly.
Immediately, the first person Zhang Zhan thought of was Wang Fang.
Wang Fang's accident, the phone left in the hospital room, the Ding family's kidnapping... the phone being hung up... it seems everything is connected in some mysterious way. Could this be a collaboration between her and the Ding family?
Lost in thought, Zhang Zhan found himself walking towards Wang Fang.
Wang Fang lay quietly in her hospital bed, resting. Hearing a noise, she slowly opened her eyes.
"Ah Zhan, you're here. Why did you leave in such a hurry today? Is something wrong?"
Zhang Zhan lowered his head, his expression inscrutable. "You really don't know?"
He asked Wang Fang a question in return.
Was the seemingly weak and pitiful Wang Fang feigning innocence, or was she genuinely unaware of the situation?
He also asked himself the same question.
"How would I know?" Wang Fang's tone remained weak. "You know I've been lying in the hospital room for so long, and whatever happens outside is none of my business."
"Ding Hai of the Ding family, do you know him?" Zhang Zhan wasn't going to beat around the bush anymore and directly brought up the name "Ding Hai," staring intently at the expression on Wang Fang's face, unwilling to miss a single detail.
Wang Fang looked back at Zhang Zhan without any guilt and said, "I don't know."
After saying that, she closed her eyes wearily. "Can we talk about it tomorrow?" I was tired of hearing Wang Fang's order to leave. Zhang Zhan didn't insist on keeping her and left directly.
It seems that the only way to deal with today's matter is to start with Ding Hai.
Zhang Zhan was originally planning to leave the hospital directly for the police station, but as soon as he stepped out of the ward, he felt his muscles twitching and he had difficulty breathing.
He didn't even have time to cry for help before collapsing to the ground. Luckily, he was at the hospital. Paramedics rushed over and carried him to the emergency room.
Unbeknownst to Zhang Zhan, Wang Fang, inside the ward, heard the commotion and a slight smile appeared on her lips.
"Ah Zhan, you won't be so lucky next time."
