Chapter 42 Forgotten

Du Ruo took the two little ones and slept until eight o'clock in the morning. When she woke up, the two little ones were still asleep.

Du Ruo got up and packed up, then walked around the yard. Looking at the door of the main house, he thought about buying furniture today.

Walking towards the house refreshed, Du Ruo looked back at the door of the main house. It seemed like she had forgotten something?

Forget it, if I can’t remember, I won’t think about it anymore.

The phone in the main room of the Du family rang again, over and over again. Yuan Tingchuan frowned tightly. He reached out to call the Yang family, paused, and did not make the call.

After making a few bowls of porridge in the morning, Du Ruo opened the door and went to the entrance of the alley to buy a tray of buns, and added two small fried cakes, which he took home. He mixed a plate of yesterday's vegetables, went into the house and called the two little ones to get up and eat.

Du Ruo stood in front of the bed, looking at the little guys sleeping like pigs, and was speechless. How could these two guys sleep so well? Are they still not waking up?

In fact, Du Ruo didn't know that she fell asleep on the bed yesterday, and Han Zhe and Yuan Shurui played until late at night.

There was no teacher or parent supervising them, but with their parents around, they felt extremely safe. The two little guys played happily for half the night and fell asleep in a daze just before dawn.

Du Ruo lifted the quilt and slapped the little guy lightly on the butt, saying softly, "The sun is shining on your butt, get up quickly."

Yuan Shurui's face flushed red. In fact, he woke up when Aunt Du stood beside the bed. The child was a little sensitive and he didn't dare to open his eyes. As a result, he was slapped on the butt.

No one had ever hit him like this before. It was different from the bad memories of his mother doing it to him in the past. He didn't know how to describe the feeling, but it made him feel itchy and warm in his heart, and he kind of liked it.

As soon as Han Zhe woke up, he rolled into his mother's arms and said coquettishly: "Mom, hit me, I can't get up~"

Du Ruo held him in her arms, walked to the window, stretched out her hand to draw aside the curtains, and said with a smile: "Look where the sun has climbed to? Why don't you get up?"

Xiaozhe smiled and hugged his mother's neck, then looked up and saw his friends looking at him with envy. He said, "Mom, please take me back to bed."

Du Ruo didn't understand what was going on and put her son back on the bed. Xiaozhe pushed Han Shurui and said to Du Ruo, "Mom, hug him too."

Looking at her son's sparkling eyes, Du Ruo smiled. She stretched out her arm, made an invitation gesture, and asked Yuan Shurui: "Do you want to try it?"

Yuan Shurui tugged at his collar. He wanted to give it a try. He had no memory of anyone hugging him, and he had no memory of being hugged by his father.

Yuan Tingchuan usually communicates with the people around Yuan Shurui, asking about their daily life and homework guidance, but he rarely speaks directly to Yuan Shurui.

His mother’s hug was a nightmare for him. Every time his father came back, his mother would pick him up first, but would put him aside after a moment and concentrate on accompanying his father.

Sometimes they would think he was in the way, frown, and ask someone to take him away.

If Dad left after just a few moments, Mom would get very angry, pinch his arms until they were bruised, and glare at him as if he were her enemy.

He resisted his mother's hug several times. Facing his father's frown and somewhat puzzled look, his mother always got furious and would beat him after his father left.

So every time his mother hugged him, he suppressed his fear, lowered his head and said nothing.

Later he understood that as long as his father ignored his mother, she would beat him. He gritted his teeth and said nothing, but his mother beat him harder and harder.

Until that time, when he saw his mother angrily turning back to look for something to hit him, he quietly dialed his father's number and put the receiver aside.

He was lucky his dad was on the phone and heard it all.

Dad came home quickly, grabbed the woman's arm, threw her out of the house, and told her to get out.

Yuan Shurui's nightmare finally ended, but from then on he had an idea in his mind: the only person who could protect himself was himself.

If he wants to survive, he has to rely on himself. If he wants to get something, he has to work hard for it.

He looked at Aunt Du's open arms and couldn't resist the temptation. Yuan Shurui threw himself into Du Ruo's arms and gently sniffed her fragrance, an indescribable pleasant smell. He carefully opened his arms and hugged Du Ruo's neck.

Du Ruo also carried him to the window and took him to look at the sunlight outside the window. The warm sunlight shone on people through the glass window. It was warm but not scorching, making people feel very comfortable.

Yuan Shurui smiled widely, kissed Du Ruo on the face, and buried his face in Du Ruo's arms a little embarrassedly.

Du Ruo was a little surprised. It was the first time she saw the child smile so happily.

Well, children are simple and innocent. They are not on the same level as their thousand-year-old fox father. They are just children.

Both children were very well-behaved, so it was not difficult for Du Ruo to take care of them. After breakfast, the three of them drove off, and their destination was Guomao Furniture City.

As soon as they got off the car, Du Ruo bought a candy figure for each of the two children.

The boss was a good businessman. When he saw Du Ruo dressed elegantly, her two children dressed neatly, and driving a blue Santana, he knew that this was a wealthy man.

He enthusiastically introduced the various snacks on the stall, including crispy popcorn, freshly-baked tea eggs, and fragrant malt sugar, and his eyes lit up as he looked at the two children.

The boss had good taste. Du Ruo was indeed not short of money. She waved her hand and gave the two children a little of each. After packing them up, she threw them into the car and went home to eat them.

The two little guys, each holding a candy man in his mouth, and Du Ruo followed behind with his hands behind his back, and the three of them entered the furniture store.

After the reform and opening up, the development has been changing with each passing day. The furniture city is very different from before, with all kinds of furniture available.

The first floor is filled with low-end small furniture, such as coffee tables, desks, and so on.

The second floor is filled with mid-range large furniture, such as beds, wardrobes, etc.

The third floor is filled with imported European furniture and Chinese furniture made of various precious woods.

Du Ruo took the two children directly to the third floor. She was about to ask Han Zhe what kind of bed he wanted, but when she saw Yuan Shurui looking at her eagerly, she changed her tone and said, "You two take a look and pick a bed each."

Yuan Shurui was overjoyed. He was also a part of the group? Did Aunt Du agree to his joining?

If Du Ruo could hear his inner voice, she would tell him that he was overthinking it.

Du Ruo just didn't want to see her child too disappointed. There were three bedrooms in the main house. She originally planned to give one to the mother and one to the son, and the remaining one to Xiaozhe as a study.

Since Yuan Shurui happened to come today, it would be okay to add another bedroom and use it as a guest room.
