Chapter 275 A False Alarm

Chapter 275 A False Alarm

It's impossible to avoid getting hurt while filming, especially during dangerous action scenes. No matter how careful you are, you're bound to fall or bump into something.

Most actors who shoot action scenes all year round suffer from a lot of illnesses.

Fortunately, Hu Xiaoxiao has a good recovery ability. After filming action and martial arts scenes for so many years, although he often falls and his skin is bruised, he is fine.

Hu Xiaoxiao was used to it, but William was not used to it at all. When he saw Hu Xiaoxiao's skillful movements in bandaging his wound and his nonchalant smile, he felt as if something had stung his heart and felt uncomfortable.

"Ms. Hu, I'll take you to the hospital." William helped Hu Xiaoxiao stand up and said.

Hu Xiaoxiao rejected his offer and said, "It's just a minor wound. It will heal in a few days. Don't delay filming."

"You've lost so much blood, how can it be considered a minor injury?" William said anxiously.

Hu Xiaoxiao smiled and said, "Once you've been in this business for a while, you'll realize this is just a minor injury. If you're scared now, it's not too late to change your career."

William wanted to explain that he was worried about her rather than himself, but the words stayed silent.

After Du Qian came over to check and confirmed that there were no other injuries, he said to William, "It's normal for actors to get injured while filming an action movie. Some have broken arms and legs. Everyone, please go away."

The staff were used to seeing actors getting injured, so they were no longer surprised and dispersed.

But William was still very worried about it, and he was a little absent-minded during the reshoot. He NGed several times and was scolded by Du Qian before he finished shooting.

After the filming, he went to check on Hu Xiaoxiao first, but the staff told him that she had passed away a long time ago.

He picked up his cell phone and called Hu Xiaoxiao. He felt relieved when he heard that her voice on the other end of the phone was still cheerful and energetic.

The next day, because Hu Xiaoxiao's scene was scheduled at noon and he also had a scene in the evening, he didn't know when the night scene would be filmed. If the filming didn't go smoothly, he might have to stay up all night. So he slept a little longer to make up for his sleep so that he wouldn't be too tired if he stayed up late at night.

She was sleeping soundly, but she didn't know Mingxu was knocking on the door and calling her name loudly.

A lot of money was spent on the renovation of the house, and the sound insulation was very good, which made it convenient for Hu Xiaoxiao to practice her voice at home. So even when Mingxu was about to shout his throat out, he didn't wake Hu Xiaoxiao up.

"Xiaoxiao! Hu Xiaoxiao!" Mingxu shouted anxiously for a long time before he remembered that he had the key to Hu Xiaoxiao's house.

The three families lived close together and visited frequently, so for convenience, they shared their spare keys. Thus, Mingxu's family had keys to Hu Xiaoxiao and Xie Zhiheng's homes, and Hu Xiaoxiao's family also had keys to theirs.

Mingxu hurried back to the house to get the lock, opened Hu Xiaoxiao's door, went straight to Hu Xiaoxiao's bedroom, and knocked on the door hard, "Xiaoxiao! Are you home? How are you now? Open the door! Xiaoxiao!"

The sound of knocking on the door finally woke Hu Xiaoxiao from her sleep. She rubbed her eyes and said, "Mingxu, it's so early in the morning, why are you calling for help?"

Mingxu heard Hu Xiaoxiao's voice outside the bedroom door, immediately unlocked the door and rushed in, going straight to Hu Xiaoxiao's bed.

"I saw the newspaper and the news. They said you were disfigured! People all over the street were talking about how you injured your face while filming and half of your face was ruined. Is that true?"

Mingxu ran to Hu Xiaoxiao's bed, pulled back the sheets, and saw that one side of her face was fine. He reached out and turned the other side of her face over.

Looking closely, it was in good condition. I reached out and touched it, and it was smooth, tender and intact.

Hu Xiaoxiao slapped his hand away, sat up, and asked sleepily: "What are you doing?"

Mingxu was still worried, so he moved closer and touched Hu Xiaoxiao's scalp piece by piece. Only after confirming that there were no wounds did he show any fear.

The tense heartstrings he had held all the way finally relaxed. He suddenly hugged Hu Xiaoxiao and said tremblingly, "You scared me to death! As soon as I saw the news that something happened to you, I rushed back in a hurry. Fortunately, it's okay."

"What could possibly happen to me? I'm fine." Hu Xiaoxiao had just woken up, her head still fuzzy. She pushed away the tight embrace that was strangling her, "What news?"

Mingxu lowered his head and looked at Hu Xiaoxiao, whose hair was messed up by his pulling. Her fair face looked unusually confused and cute. He couldn't help but reach out and pinch her face.

"In this morning's entertainment gossip news, those paparazzi wrote nonsense, saying that you were disfigured, and even included photos." Mingxu knew that paparazzi would report and write nonsense. He had been the subject of outrageous news before. If there were no photos, he would not be so anxious. But the newspaper had a photo, and the sight of Hu Xiaoxiao's bloody face scared him to death. He didn't bother to tell whether it was true or not, and hurried home.

Fortunately it was a false alarm.

Hu Xiaoxiao finally sobered up a bit, put his hand over his mouth, yawned, smoothed his messy hair, and said, "This matter is just a misunderstanding."

Mingxu saw that one of Hu Xiaoxiao's arms was wrapped in gauze. He grabbed her hand and took it away, frowning: "Your hand is injured?"

"It's just a small wound, it's scabbed over." Hu Xiaoxiao didn't take it seriously and asked him curiously, "Don't you have to film today?"

"The last movie has just finished filming, and the next one hasn't started yet. I went to the park downstairs to run for a while this morning, thinking of going to the restaurant for tea. Who knew I would hear this news in the teahouse." He was terrified all the way, and his heart was still beating fast. He didn't know if it was because of anxiety or fear, but his whole body was covered in sweat. Now that he calmed down, he found that his whole body was wet and cold.

Hu Xiaoxiao felt guilty when he saw that he had frightened Mingxu. He laughed dryly and said, "Sorry, I scared you."

Mingxu looked down at her for a while, with a thousand words to say, but in the end he could only sigh and say, "You, be careful when filming in the future. You must take good care of yourself and don't make people worry."

"Didn't I get injured often when we were filming together before? I never saw you so worried."

“I saw it before, but not now.”

In the past, when he saw her, he would find medicine for her and bandage her wounds. But now they are not in the same company or on the same crew, and they don’t know anything, so naturally he is worried.

Mingxu looked at Hu Xiaoxiao who didn't take it seriously, gritting his teeth. He reached out and messed up Hu Xiaoxiao's hair again before standing up.

"I'm going to have tea."

Hu Xiaoxiao frowned and shouted while cutting his hair, "Pack a few for me after you finish eating."

"I understand." His back was already walking away.

Hu Xiaoxiao looked at the time and found that it was still early. Since someone brought breakfast, he could sleep a little longer.

After yawning, she lay back down in her comfortable bed.

I just closed my eyes and was woken up by the sound of my mobile phone.

After pressing the call button, Hu Xiaoxiao just answered "Hello" and heard Steven asking her anxiously about the news.
