Chapter 143 Leaving

As the saying goes, you shouldn't hit someone who smiles at you. Bai Li came to congratulate me on my new house, so there was no reason to turn her away.

Ji Huaizhi nodded: "Thank you, come in."

When everyone saw Bai Li behind Ji Huaizhi, their faces changed.

Sister Qian's family and Chen Gang knew what happened between Bai Li and them. They originally thought that Bai Li would just move out of the hunting village, but they didn't expect her to come today.

Li Xue had never seen Bai Li before, but she also noticed the sudden change in the strange atmosphere and looked at Li Yang to ask what was going on.

Li Yang gave Li Xue a soothing look, stood up and smiled at Bai Li: "Miss Bai is here, please sit down." As he said that, he brought a chair and arranged a seat for her.

All the movements were smooth and fluid, as if nothing had ever happened.

Bai Li, holding a packaged box in her hand, also said, "I saw people moving things in and out of your door these past two days, and they set off firecrackers today. I thought they must have moved in, so I came uninvited. Miss Li, you won't mind, right?"

Li Yang took the box and smiled faintly, "It's a happy occasion, why would I mind?"

She came here without being invited. If it were anyone else, they would definitely feel uncomfortable, but Li Yang had let it go now and didn't think it was a big deal. Anyway, she would be leaving for Myanmar in a couple of days, so Bai Li could do whatever she wanted. She didn't need to watch her acting.

With Bai Li's arrival, the atmosphere at the dinner table was somewhat affected, and everyone spoke less casually than before.

Bai Li just sat there quietly, sometimes whispering a few words with Sister Qian and Ji Huaizhi, and even put away her previous superior attitude.

At the end, Bai Li picked up her glass and toasted with others, saying that she was thanking everyone for their care during this period.

She just took a small sip, then a second sip, and the small glass of wine slowly finished. It didn't seem like she was coming to congratulate, but rather like she was drinking to drown her sorrows.

Li Yang caught a glimpse of the look she gave Ji Huaizhi while she was drinking, and immediately understood.

This is to attract Ji Huaizhi's attention and win his sympathy.

She looked at Ji Huaizhi again.

Ji Huaizhi acted as if he didn't notice Bai Li's behavior, and continued talking and drinking with Chen Gang and other men.

Li Yang couldn't help but sigh inwardly, Ji Huaizhi is really a person who doesn't understand romance.

When Bai Li picked up the wine jug to pour a second cup, Chen Gang held her hand and quickly took the wine jug away. He smiled and said, "Miss Bai, a little drink can make you happy, but drinking too much can harm your health. It's better to drink less."

Chen Gang is quite perceptive when it comes to this kind of thing. Isn't Bai Li's behavior just a test of Ji Huaizhi's attitude?

But she didn't need to think about it. Li Yang was sitting here, so what could Ji Huaizhi's attitude be? Besides, Ji Huaizhi always kept his word. He had already laid his cards on the table with her last time, so it was impossible for him to be soft on her again. She was just humiliating herself by doing this.

Bai Li tried to pull her hand away, but failed. The tears that had been welling up in her eyes began to well up. "Chen Gang, let go."

Chen Gang exchanged glances with the monkey, who immediately took the opportunity to take the wine jug. Chen Gang, still smiling, said, "Miss Bai, things are different now. You live alone now. If you get drunk and there's no one to take care of you, we'd be worried."

Seeing this, Sister Qian and the others also advised Bai Li to drink less.

Li Yang and Ji Huaizhi never spoke.

Bai Li glanced around, nodded, and looked at Ji Huaizhi: "I understand. I came here tonight just for my own good."

After saying that, he stood up and was about to go back.

Ji Huaizhi didn't stop her. He just winked at Chen Gang, and Chen Gang stood up and sent Bai Li away.

Li Xue saw it all and was anxious, but Li Yang and Ji Huaizhi, the two parties involved, had indifferent expressions and showed no emotion.

After everyone left, Li Xue deliberately lagged behind and asked Li Yang, "Who is that Miss Bai?"

At the dinner table, I only heard everyone mention it, but I didn't really understand it.

Li Yang briefly explained the relationship between Ji Bai and his two families and said, "You take care of the child, so don't worry about me. She has already moved out."

Li Xue thought that Bai Li lived diagonally across the street and it would only take her a minute or two to come over. She opened her mouth but still didn't try to persuade her.

Li Yang is different now, and doesn't look like she's trapped in love, so she'd better not say anything more.

When Ji Huaizhi came back after seeing off the guests, he saw Li Yang cleaning. He walked over and took the broom from her hand.

Li Yang glanced at him calmly and said, "Oh, then come on."

"Li Yang." Ji Huaizhi held her hand and looked at her indifferent expression. He felt like something was blocking his heart and felt extremely uncomfortable.

Li Yang raised his eyes to look at him: "What's wrong?"

She guessed that Ji Huaizhi might have something to say to her, but somehow, she didn't know what kind of mood she should be in to talk to him about this. Perhaps after she returned from Myanmar and everyone calmed down, everything would become clear.

Bai Li's problem seemed to be resolved, but her appearance reminded her that there was something between them.

For other things, you may still be able to work hard, but when it comes to love, even if you fight for it, it will be in vain if the other party has not thought it through or is wavering.

Ji Huaizhi finally shook his head: "Nothing, let me do it, you take a rest."

"Yeah, okay." Li Yang nodded and turned to leave the main room.

After moving, the 15th passed quickly and Gao Xinchen also called, agreeing to leave on the 17th.

Gao Xinchen set out from Gangcheng, and everyone met up in Guangxi Province.

Li Yang packed his luggage, refused Ji Huaizhi's request to have A Tao escort him, and set off for Guangxi Province with Tao Qian.

Early in the morning, Ji Huaizhi went to see him off in person. As the green train went farther and farther away, Chen Gang, who had been hidden in the crowd, came out.

He asked Ji Huaizhi: "Boss, are you really confident in letting my sister-in-law go?"

Ji Huaizhi's gaze continued to follow the direction the train left, and he said, "She has her own dreams, and she shouldn't be confined to a small world."

Chen Gang nodded: "Then what about us?"

Ji Huaizhi's eyes darkened: "Tell them that I am willing to cooperate with them."
