Chapter 32 The Engine Burns Out



He had nightmares as soon as he got back and couldn't sleep at all.

Right now, I just feel panicked, my legs feel weak, and I feel like I can't walk.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have agreed to come and find Lin Atai.

"They're getting ready to collect their money," Lin Atai said quietly.

Lin Ziyan blinked, a chill ran down her spine, and she couldn't help but swallow.

She regained her composure slightly and then remembered what Lao Wang had said about the engine being completely black.

How much power must be turned up, and for how long, to burn the ship's engine black?

Lin Ziyan thought of a possibility, and her heart ached slightly.

The captain of that ship probably realized he was being pursued early on, so he went full throttle and rushed back.

However, their ship was already outdated, and the engine was severely worn out. Even though they spotted the enemy early, they still couldn't escape their encirclement.

By the time Lin Ziyan came to her senses, Old Mrs. Wang and Old Mr. Wang had already left, leaving only her and her grandmother in the room.

"Grandma, I'm going out now." Lin Ziyan pursed her lips, not daring to ask what she meant by what she had just said.

She vaguely sensed that Old Lady Wang trusted Grandma very much.

"Yes, we should help if we can. They all died unjustly," Lin Atai said calmly, then lowered her head to continue cutting paper.

Lin Ziyan's heart clenched, and she gasped.

Is Ah Tai a fortune teller?

She tried hard to recall, but the original owner's memories didn't contain much information about her great-grandmother.

Lin Ziyan walked out the door, not hearing the crying from next door, and her eyes flickered.

It seems everyone in the village knows that Atai is different.
