Chapter 6 Going to the Port

"Miss, if you're hot and want some water, I can pour you a cup, but I don't have a cup..."

The old man stopped halfway through his sentence, looking somewhat embarrassed.

Lin Ziyan thanked him, declined his offer, and started chatting with him.

This is a small port, with about 50 porters.

Only when a large ship docks does it become crowded.

At its peak, there were only about a hundred people.

"Girl, you're too small for carrying heavy loads."

"You'd better not bother," the old man kindly advised, assuming she wanted to work as a mover.

Having spent several years at the port, he saw too many women working there to supplement their family income.

But after a few days, no one came anymore.

Several food stalls have opened near the port, and they are all nicely decorated.

Of course, their target customers are not movers.

Instead, it was the crew members, captains, and temporary business owners of those cargo ships.

"This...no one has ever sold this before, why don't you give it a try?" The old man hesitated for a moment, but didn't say no.

But he thought to himself, this girl has delicate skin and tender flesh, she probably won't last long.

Lin Ziyan saw through the old man's thoughts and didn't rush to explain.

She needs to rush to town to buy things so she can set up her stall tomorrow.
