Chapter 575 Departure to the West

Yang Yanzhou's legs felt so weak, as if his bones had been suddenly removed, and he trembled uncontrollably against the wall.

When Lu Yun Shen arrived, he grabbed his hand and signed the form. When he saw the blood transfusion form, his lips twitched involuntarily.

"Don't be scared. It's just a blood transfusion. It's not like you're being forced to choose between two options. Besides, the hospital will prioritize the mother, so don't worry." Lu Yunshen patted his shoulder.

He had only patted him twice when Yang Yanzhou collapsed to the ground.

When Lin Ziyan arrived with her maternity bag, he was still slumped on the ground.

She gave Lu Yun Shen a wink and whispered, "Isn't having a second child coming up soon?"

Lu Yunshen gripped her hand tightly and shook his head slightly. He was also startled by Yang Yanzhou's reaction, and at the same time, he was glad that he had the foresight to get his vasectomy.

Otherwise, if he were made to wait outside the operating room for Lin Ziyan, he probably wouldn't be much better off than Yang Yanzhou.

The operating room light remained on as Yang Yanzhou stared at the words, his hand slowly clenching.

"Smack!"

The lights suddenly went out, the doctor came out, and then the nurse pushed the hospital bed out.

"Mother and daughter are safe..."

Yang Yanzhou only heard those few words; after that, he couldn't hear anything the doctor said because of his tinnitus.

Holding onto the bed railing, he followed the nurse into the ward.

The other nurse blinked, holding the child and looking bewildered.

In the end, Lin Ziyan stepped forward to take it, held it in her arms, and said with a smile, "She's just as beautiful as Sister Zhuling."

Lu Yun Shen leaned forward for a look, nodded slightly, and saw that the girl was pink and tender, and did not resemble Yang Yan Zhou.

The doctors and nurses were still worried, so they followed them to the ward and only left after confirming that they were friends of the new mother.

The first time they met the family, they didn't remember the baby and left with the mother.

Yang Yanzhou sat by the hospital bed and grasped Pei Zhuling's warm hand. Only then did the blood in his body return to his body, and the color returned to his fingertips.

Lu Yunshen leaned to the side and watched as Lin Ziyan wrapped the baby in the blanket she had brought.

"Stop watching your wife, go take care of your daughter." Lu Yun Shen kicked his chair.

Xiao Jin has a nanny to help her, so they don't need to go over there.

Moreover, Lu Qiuying had a natural birth and is currently awake; doctors have checked her and found no problems.

Yang Yanzhou snapped out of his daze, turned around and saw the baby on the bed. He was at a loss and didn't know where to start.

Lin Ziyan was instructing him on how to feed the baby, and he just nodded, his brows furrowed.

Feeling lost and conflicted, yet hesitant to take any action.

Lu Yun Shen scoffed lightly: "When Zhou Zhou was born, Zhu Ling took care of him herself. Now it's your turn."

She suffered a massive hemorrhage this time, essentially replacing all her blood. Don't try to shirk responsibility by saying you don't know anything.

Yang Yanzhou immediately sat up straight, took the bottle, and became serious.

He hadn't had time to inform the nanny that it would take two days before she could come from Beijing.

He'll have to figure it out on his own these next couple of days.

"Give the baby glucose once an hour, check the diaper urgently, and change it promptly after patting the baby's back to remove meconium..." Lu Yunshen said from the side.

He did all of this for Lin Ziyan during her delivery, ensuring she didn't have to stay up all night even once.

Yang Yanzhou listened attentively and silently took notes.

I thought to myself, "Brother Shen is amazing. He remembers things so clearly, even more carefully than the nurse."

Lu Yunshen personally demonstrated to him how to change diapers, how to feed the baby in a way that would prevent hiccups, and so on.

When Lin Ziyan saw that Pei Zhuling was awake, she winked at her and walked over to sit down on the other side.

"You've worked hard. It's a daughter, and she's very beautiful," Lin Ziyan said softly.

Meanwhile, Yang Yanzhou, who was being trained by Lu Yunshen, was in a flurry of activity, feeding the child glucose and changing diapers with utmost care.

Pei Zhuling shook her head, her eyes filled with tenderness. The anesthesia hadn't completely worn off, so she couldn't feel any pain.

She fell asleep again shortly afterward, this time with a relaxed expression and a sense of peace.

Lin Ziyan and Lu Yunshen went to Lu Qiuying's ward for a quick look, but seeing the nanny teaching Xiao Jin, they didn't go in.

As the two drove home, they stopped by the coast, looked at the layers of waves outside the window, and smiled at each other.

"Professor Shen and the others want me to go to the west." Lin Ziyan hesitated for a moment, then looked at Lu Yunshen and continued:

"Do you want to come along?"

Lu Yunshen: "Of course we'll go, and we'll bring Mengmeng and the others along too."

Lin Ziyan was suspicious. Should she take Mengmeng and the others with her?

“Jiaojiao and the others didn’t have a holiday, otherwise we could have taken them along and gone on a group trip,” Lu Yunshen continued.

He also knows people there; the place Professor Shen went to isn't remote.

He'll borrow a car and drive directly to his destination, so it won't be too much of a hassle.

Lin Ziyan pondered for a moment, then nodded vigorously.

The altitude there isn't very high, so it's okay to take them there.

Moreover, due to the demand for salt transportation, the roads there are well-maintained and not bumpy.

In the following days,

Lu Qiuying was discharged from the hospital first and went straight back to the fishing village to recuperate after childbirth.

The nanny didn't come with us; she went back home instead.

Xiao Jin took care of everything, busy with both the baby and the postpartum meals.

With the help of Grandma Lan and Grandma Lu, he still had time to accompany Lu Qiuying to do postpartum exercises.

After Lu Yunshen finished his work, he and Lin Ziyan packed their things together.

Lin Ziyan handed over all the matters concerning the yellow croaker breeding base and processing plant to Su Hui.

I also wrote down the process for them to refer to.

The two children followed them around all day, tidying up their little clothes and shoes.

Each of them had a small suitcase, and after they finished packing, they waited with wide, eager eyes.

Grandma looked on with reluctance, holding the two little ones tightly.

However, she does not object to the two of them taking the child out.

"Bring cold medicine, fever reducers, and other medicines with you, just in case..." Grandma instructed.

Grandma Lu heard this as she entered the courtyard, and her eyes instantly welled up with tears.

Grandma Lan followed behind, quickening her pace.

"Mengmeng." Grandma Lan had barely called out when Mengmeng threw herself into her arms, her eyes sparkling with laughter, like stars in full bloom.

DouDou then snuggled into Grandma Lu's arms, blinking her big eyes and raising the corners of her lips.

Lin Ziyan and Lu Yunshen exchanged a glance, feeling as if the two of them had done something wrong, and the elderly people were reluctant to part with the children.

"Great-Grandma, Great-Grandma, please take good care of yourselves at home," Mengmeng instructed in her childish voice, like a little adult.

Grandma Lu and Grandma Lan had tears welling up in their eyes; their hearts were breaking.

This well-behaved child is someone they've watched grow up; he'll be two years old in a few months.

DouDou: "Be good at home..."

Grandma stroked his soft, fine hair and said "good" several times.

Two children and three elderly people hugged each other and cried in the end.

Lin Ziyan: "..."

Lu Yunshen helplessly picked up the two children: "It's just a week, but you're acting like you're never coming back."

Ah Tai spat several times: "You can't just say things like that."

Grandma Lu and Grandma Lan immediately hit him, glared at him, and stopped crying.

Lin Ziyan silently pushed her suitcase out of the courtyard, trying to remain inconspicuous and not get involved.

She was scared after that tearful farewell.

Mengmeng and Doudou immediately got down from Lu Yunshen's arms, each grabbing a suitcase.

Three suitcases, one large and two small.
