Lu Qiuying hung up the phone, covered her face, and then came to her senses.
Has the port reconstruction plan been approved?
Recently, the sounds of frogs and cicadas have filled the air, as if celebrating for her.
Lu Qiuying hurriedly used the key to open the rough design she had drawn earlier, and exhaled a breath of stale air.
This map isn't good enough. She only has a week left and needs to go back to the port area to finalize some more locations.
What Lu Qiuying didn't know was that after Lin Shaowen sent the telegram,
I immediately contacted the director of the investment department to estimate the budget.
Lin Shaowen did not marry abroad, but adopted one son.
The other person is now married with children and is engaged in scientific research.
I'm almost never home now; I spend most of my time at the research institute.
Lin Shaowen asked his adopted son, who said he didn't want to inherit Rongkai Group, and his grandson, who was currently in university, wasn't interested in the group either.
"Grandpa." Grandson Lin Jun, holding a basketball, knocked on the study door.
"Want to come along?"
Lin Shaowen nodded slightly, "Okay," and got up to leave the study.
What the two probably do most often is play basketball together.
However, Lin Shaowen is too old to dribble around the court; he can only dribble and shoot from a stationary position.
"Grandpa, can you take me with you next time you go to China?" Lin Jun asked, twirling the ball in his hand.
Lin Shaowen: "The area is still under construction, and it's very difficult."
"I'm not afraid!" Lin Jun walked backwards, looked at him, and smiled brightly.
Lin Shaowen raised an eyebrow. If the design drawings were sent over, he would have to go back again.
But this time, he doesn't plan to take his secretary back with him.
"Sure, but you'll have to be my temporary secretary," Lin Shaowen said with a smile.
My grandson studied law; he should be able to do well as a secretary, right?
"no problem!"
…
Two days later,
Lu Qiuying returned to Haibi Village with a slightly more detailed design drawing.
"grandmother,"
She walked into the yard carrying only a small bag.
Old Man He was changing the water in the fishpond when he saw her. He quickly put down the bucket, but then he heard his granddaughter call for her husband instead of him.
"Why are you looking for Grandma as soon as you walk in? Can't you look for Grandpa?" Old Man He put his hands behind his back and snorted.
"Grandpa, do you know where Grandma went?" Lu Qiuying put down her bag and asked.
Old Man He, "..."
So, should I find a partner?
He muttered to himself, "Besides chatting with Grandma Lin every day, where else can I go?"
Old Man He sulked to himself and continued to change the water in the fishpond with the bucket.
"Grandpa, I'm going to find the Lin family to see Grandma." Lu Qiuying strode out of the courtyard and disappeared in a moment.
Old Man He snorted softly, but in his heart he was thinking that he would go to the nearby market to buy some seafood and fish to cook for his granddaughter.
Lu Qiuying arrived at the Lin family's courtyard.
I ran into Lin Ziyan at the entrance; she had just returned from the shrimp farm.
"Ayan!" Lu Qiuying exclaimed in surprise.
Lin Ziyan was equally surprised to see her, "Sister Qiuying, why are you back?"
"Let's talk in the inner room." Lu Qiuying stepped forward and took her arm.
Lin Ziyan nodded, not rejecting her closeness.
In the courtyard, Grandma Lan was standing next to the water vat, while Jiaojiao sat on a small stool, holding onto the edge of the vat, looking at the fishpond.
"Grandma?" Lu Qiuying walked over curiously.
My grandmother has never been interested in raising fish; she only likes growing vegetables and flowers.
She never goes near the fish pond at home, but now she's looking at the fish in the tank.
"Qiuying is back..." Grandma Lan said gently when she saw her.
Lu Qiuying stopped in her tracks. So calm? It was as if she had expected this all along.
"Grandma, I urgently need you to draw a picture for me."
Grandma Lan smiled faintly, "The drawing expert is standing right next to you!"
Lu Qiuying was stunned and looked at Ayan beside her.
"Ayan, my eyesight is failing, and I get dizzy just looking at lines. Could you please help me with her drawing?" Grandma Lan said frankly.
She now experiences double vision, and she has indeed been drawing detailed pictures of the surrounding area.
Lin Ziyan's lips twitched slightly, and she nodded gently, "Okay."
Lu Qiuying, "..."
She really wanted to tell her grandmother that the picture hadn't been released to the public yet and that it had to be kept a secret...
…
The two had just returned home,
"Grandma, is there something I don't know?"
Lu Qiuying thought about it all the way, feeling that her grandmother was implying something.
She and Ayan had arranged to draw here, so the two of them went home.
Grandma remained silent, tacitly acknowledging that they were drawing in the study.
But Grandma's study wasn't a place just anyone could enter...
“Lin Shaowen is Ayan’s uncle, you don’t need to avoid him,” Grandma Lan said, sitting on the wooden sofa and fanning herself with a palm leaf fan.
Lu Qiuying, "..."
Uncle? Doesn't Mr. Lin have no relatives in China?
Grandma Lan briefly explained Lin Shaowen's situation.
Not many people in the village knew about this, and Lin Atai did not hide the fact that Lin Shaowen had come to Haibi Village from her.
Lu Qiuying waited in the yard after finishing her dinner.
The bright moonlight shone in the courtyard, and the shadows of the eaves fell on the edge of the fishpond.
Lin Ziyan walked into the courtyard carrying a pencil case.
After drawing the cargo ship blueprints last time, she specially ordered a lot of drawing pens from Sister Fang.
I didn't expect it to come in handy so soon.
The two walked into the study together and sat down facing each other.
"Ayan, take a look at this diagram first," Lu Qiuying said, taking out a simplified diagram.
She referenced the port maps from abroad, which Lu Yunshen had hand-drawn and brought back.
Lin Ziyan glanced at it, her eyes flickering slightly. This was the technique of sketching, the strokes were made in one go, the lines were delicate, but you could see that they were very powerful.
