Chapter 211 Departure

Aunt Wang nodded, "Okay, reserve 500 jin for me first. We agreed that you have to give me the best quality."

After she opened her seafood shop, she discovered that her customers were wealthier than those in town.

Those people don't consider the price at all when they eat a meal.

Aunt Wang changed the menu at the last minute, adding several expensive dishes with large lobsters, and to her surprise, quite a few customers ordered them.

They just love fresh ingredients; they don't care about the price, but the taste has to be good, with spicy flavors being the most popular.

Many of the people who come here to buy goods are bosses from the north and Sichuan province.

"500 jin?" The chubby girl stared wide-eyed at Aunt Wang.

Xu Ling choked on the chili peppers and coughed until her neck turned red.

500 jin? So half of the first batch of crayfish has already been pre-ordered?

Lin Ziyan: "Okay, I'll let you choose first."

Aunt Chen and Aunt Huang exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with admiration.

They used to just chop up the crayfish they caught and feed them to the chickens. Who would have thought of this way of eating them?

Aunt Wang nodded in satisfaction, and packed some things to take with her before leaving.

The kids in the family will definitely love this flavor; it's fresh and delicious.

Lin Ziyan made some double-flavored milk tea, drizzled it with honey, and it tasted very good, so she gave it to Aunt Wang to take away.

Each child in the family received a cup, and there was still quite a bit left.

She made it on a whim; if it were summer, Lin Ziyan would have chilled it before taking it out.

Er Gouzi and Hu Zi ate, their eyes narrowed into slits, looking completely satisfied.

"Ayan, what's this called? It's like jelly, and it smells like milk." The chubby girl took a bite and nodded.

Eating something spicy followed by something sweet is a wonderful experience.

Lin Ziyan scooped up a spoonful before slowly saying, "Double-skin milk pudding, made with milk powder."

After dinner, Lin Ziyan packed two kinds of crayfish and several glasses of double milk, intending to send them to the He family.

Grandma Lan didn't come back, but Grandpa He was at home.

After the last wedding prank, Lin Ziyan didn't inquire about the Cao family's situation, but the news spread throughout the village.

Cao Zhi was sentenced to prison, while the others were detained for fifteen days.

"Ayan, are we going to the He family's house?"

As Lin Ziyan walked to the big banyan tree, an old lady asked her a question.

"Yes, I'll send some food over," she said honestly.

"I thought you knew Granny Lan was back and rushed over to teach," the old lady said with a smile.

Lin Ziyan nodded to her, her mind filled with doubt. The teacher is back?

She quickened her pace, wondering if Lu Yun Shen had returned as well.

The streetlights at the He family's house came on, their dim yellow light illuminating the area ahead.

A group of children were playing games in front of the door, their laughter echoing.

Lin Ziyan walked into the He family's courtyard and saw Grandma Lan watering the flowers. She called out to her.

"Ayan is here." Grandma Lan's eyes lit up when she saw her, and she quickly put down the kettle.

Yang Yanzhou and Grandpa He were playing chess, and he nodded to her.

Lin Ziyan looked around, her eyes darkening slightly.

Grandma Lan beckoned to her, "Come in quickly, Qiuying will be back from the port soon. Let's make some tea and chat in the main room."

Lin Ziyan nodded and stepped into the main room.

The dim, yellow light shone on the wooden chair, making it very bright.

"I brought some food." Lin Ziyan placed the food on the round table.

"That's perfect, Qiuying will have some when she gets back." Grandma Lan took out some tea leaves from the cupboard.

A delicate aroma of tea wafts through the air, mingled with the fragrance of flowers, a truly refreshing and delightful scent.

A kettle and a set of teacups were placed on the tea table.

Lin Ziyan opened the tea leaves and began brewing the tea.

She had just finished making the soup when Lu Qiuying returned.

Grandma Lan took out a tin box, opened it, and found it full of candies and cookies.

"Grandma, Ayan." Lu Qiuying put her bag back in her room before coming out to sit with them.

The shadows of the three people were projected onto the wall, magnified and elongated.

Zhouzhou moved a small stool and sat down to draw.

"You must be vigilant during this cruise trip, as the seas there have been quite turbulent lately."

Grandma Lan said in a calm tone.

A cold glint flashed in her cloudy eyes, but it vanished in an instant.

The collision on New Year's Eve resulted in heavy losses.

All the sophisticated surveying instruments on board the ship crashed into the sea, and Maiwei refused to admit that they had collided with the research vessel first.

Finally, they turned around and accused us of spreading rumors and slander, threatening to take us to the International Court of Justice.

"Grandma, is Maiwei really going to sue our marine research institute?" Lu Qiuying asked, frowning.

Lin Ziyan lowered her eyes and drank her tea.

This matter has already been reported in the international news section. If a lawsuit were to be filed, neither side would have a high chance of winning.

It might even be free advertising for Maiwei's hull quality.

“Maiwei doesn’t want to completely lose the Chinese market; its current tough stance is just a test,” Grandma Lan analyzed.

Lu Qiuying nodded; her grandfather had said the same thing back then.

However, after this incident, the government will increase its support for shipping companies.

The fact that my grandmother was called to a series of meetings shows that the Minister of Ocean Management was in a hurry.

"They will vehemently deny that this was within the expedition team's expectations."

"Unfortunately, our research vessel sank to the bottom of the sea, and we have no evidence at all," Grandma Lan continued.

She doesn't mind talking to them more.

Maritime accidents often occur when the sea is calm.

The collision with the research vessel was most likely intentional on the part of the other party.

As for their purpose, only they themselves know best.

A weak nation will be bullied; this is a tacit understanding in international relations.

"Only when the economy develops can more funds be invested in research and development..." Grandma Lan sighed with a deep look in her eyes, but there was nothing she could do.
