“Jiaojiao…”
I could still hear my second sister crying.
Lin Ziyan had already rushed towards the waves. After swimming out, she looked up again, but she could no longer see Jiaojiao.
It felt like all the blood in my body had turned back, and I was trembling all over…
She continued swimming forward, the waves crashing against her, the seawater murky beneath.
"Jiaojiao!" Lin Ziyan looked up again and shouted when she saw her younger sister who had rushed to the front.
As she was about to move forward, she saw a tall figure in front of her, backlit, who had already embraced Jiaojiao.
Lin Ziyan pursed her lips tightly as the waves surged up again, engulfing her neck.
Lu Yun Shen?
He swam to her in no time.
"The waves are huge now, let's swim back quickly." After Lu Yunshen finished speaking, he pulled her and swam towards the shore.
Seeing Jiao Jiao's pale face, Lin Ziyan quickly swam back.
In less than five minutes, Jiaojiao was almost swept into the middle of the sea by the waves.
Time seemed to stand still just now; in reality, she hadn't swum very far.
After getting ashore, Lu Yunshen had Jiaojiao lie on his lap. He only patted her back lightly, and she choked on the seawater.
Lin Ziyan's eyes were red, but seeing how professional his movements were, she didn't go forward.
"Ugh... Sister..." Jiaojiao choked on seawater and sobbed, her lips trembling as she cried.
Tears streamed down his face as he clung to Lin Ziyan's arm, refusing to let go.
First she sobbed, then she burst into tears.
Lin Ziyan gently patted her back to comfort her, her eyes brimming with tears, but they didn't fall.
"Jiaojiao..." The second sister ran over and, seeing that she was alright, slumped down on the beach.
She sniffled, tears streaming down her face, blaming herself for not watching over her younger sister properly.
Lu Yunshen, "..."
He didn't know how to comfort her in this situation, and he couldn't go over and hug her...
Lin Ziyan quickly calmed down and looked at Lu Yunshen, "Thank you."
Lu Yun Shen: "It was just a coincidence, let's go home!"
Lin Ziyan nodded. "Xiaoxiao, let's go home."
As the sun sets, the orange-red glow paints half the sky crimson.
As Lu Yunshen watched Lin Ziyan's departing figure, recalling the tears she had been holding back in her eyes, his heart ached.
His eyes flickered slightly, allowing the suppressed emotions in his heart to spread.
…
Lin Ziyan and the others returned home.
Grandma isn't home; she should be in the vegetable garden by now.
"Xiaoxiao, go boil some water first."
Lin Ziyan threw down a sentence, picked up Jiaojiao and ran into the room. She first took off Jiaojiao's wet clothes, wrapped her in a thin blanket, and then ran to find clothes.
"Jiaojiao, don't sleep yet. I'll make you some brown sugar ginger water later."
Lin Ziyan coaxed her.
When she got home, Jiaojiao was so tired that she was dozing off.
"Sweet soup?" Jiaojiao sniffed, her eyes instantly lighting up.
"Okay, Jiaojiao needs to drink some sugar water before she goes to sleep, otherwise she'll get sick." Lin Ziyan breathed a sigh of relief after helping her get dressed.
She then got goosebumps all over her body, and then she sneezed several times.
"Sister, change your clothes, they're wet..." Jiaojiao sniffed.
Lin Ziyan then realized that she was soaked to the bone.
She hurriedly found some clothes to change into, and her body temperature slowly returned to normal.
"Jiaojiao, you can't go fishing alone next time. You must hold your sister's hand." Lin Ziyan hugged Jiaojiao tightly and said softly, her nose tingling and her voice choked with emotion.
Jiaojiao was almost swept away by the waves...
"Mmm!" Jiaojiao nodded vigorously, her little hands wrapped around her neck.
As Lin Ziyan carried Jiaojiao into the kitchen, the aroma of brown sugar ginger water wafted into her nostrils.
"You two drink up." The chubby girl ladled out two bowls and placed them on the table.
When the chubby girl heard people on the beach say that Jiao Jiao was almost swept into the sea, she ran back as fast as she could.
When she got back, she went straight to the kitchen and got some brown sugar and ginger to make sweet soup.
Second sister Xiaoxiao: "Big sister, the water is ready. I'll help Jiaojiao take a bath in a bit."
"So sweet..." Jiaojiao took a sip, revealing eight baby teeth, her eyes curving like crescent moons.
Lin Ziyan breathed a sigh of relief; thankfully, nothing serious happened.
"I heard that Lu Yunshen saved Jiaojiao?" the chubby girl asked.
Lin Ziyan nodded slightly, "Yes, luckily he was nearby."
She lowered her eyes, finished the sugar water in the bowl, and thought about how to repay him.
Snap!
A yellow croaker jumped out of the bucket.
Lin Ziyan and the chubby girl exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with surprise.
Xiaoxiao, the second sister, suddenly stood up. "Why is it still here?"
"I only remember coming back carrying a small bucket..."
Jiaojiao put down her bowl, walked over, grabbed a yellow croaker, and threw it into the bucket. "Sister, I want to eat..."
Lin Ziyan walked over and was stunned to see that there were two yellow croakers in the bucket.
"I'll eat it tonight!" The chubby girl squatted down, glaring hatefully at the yellow croaker.
…
now,
Lu Yun Shen returned home and quickly took a shower.
He had just dried his hair and walked to the door of the room when he saw Yang Yanzhou walk in with his bag.
"Why do you look like you're fleeing a disaster?" Lu Yun Shen leaned against the door, a slight twitch at the corner of his mouth.
When he left, he was carrying an elegant suitcase and wearing a suit and tie.
He came back with just a bag, wearing a white shirt and gray trousers, and hadn't even shaved.
"Don't even mention it, my grandpa was fine at all, he was just coaxing me to go back for a blind date..." Yang Yanzhou walked straight into his room, pulled up a chair and sat down.
Lu Yun Shen chuckled softly, a glint of light flashing in his eyes.
Yang Yanzhou glared at him. "Don't laugh at me."
“Your grandma has already arranged a blind date for you, and I was lucky enough to run into her once.”
"I must say, that girl was quite pretty, but she looked vaguely familiar..."
Lu Yun Shen: "Stop talking nonsense, who helps with blind dates?"
He grabbed Yang Yanzhou by the collar, pulled him aside, and sat him down in a chair.
“Don’t you believe me? I really saw it,” Yang Yanzhou exclaimed.
Lu Yunshen didn't take it seriously, took out a pack of cigarettes from the drawer, and tossed it to him.
He didn't care whether it was true or not.
Now, his heart has been captivated by someone.
"Stop talking nonsense. How did that batch of goods that came back last time sell in Beijing?" Lu Yunshen asked.
Yang Yanzhou pulled a notebook out of his bag and slammed it on the table. "The orders are all here, and they've all been paid in full!"
"I never expected those electronic products to sell so well, even pianos were being ordered."
Lu Yun Shen picked up the notebook, casually flipped through a few pages, and raised an eyebrow. There were many orders, mostly large items.
Yang Yanzhou pulled up a rattan chair outside, straddled it, and rested his hands on the back of the chair. "Beijing has basically opened up now."
"Our hypermarkets are already open, and as long as the supply is timely, we have no worries about selling them."
The two started a shipping company to facilitate the import of goods from overseas, and opened a large supermarket in Beijing, thus making money from both ends.
Yang Yanzhou was responsible for expanding the customer base.
Lu Yun Shen simply leaned back in his chair, slowly flipping through the notebook.
He noted down the large quantities of goods and began calculating the required order volume.
"By the way, on my way back, I ran into several business owners who said that someone in Fushi has successfully raised shrimp."
"They all seem to have come from out of town..."
