Chapter 332 Sara's New Work

By evening, the whole village knew that Wei Er had been hired by the electrical appliance factory.

Grandma Lin sat in the yard picking vegetables, unaware of what was being said in the village.

Grandma Li arrived at the door, fanning herself with a palm-leaf fan and carrying a red plastic bag containing her freshly steamed red bean cakes.

"Don't you need to go back to cook? How come you have time to come over?" Lin Atai looked up and saw her, and asked.

I heard a sound coming from upstairs; my two granddaughters were watching TV.

Grandma Li placed the red bean cake on the stone table, saying, "Now I can eat my fill, and the whole family won't go hungry."

Cook when you feel like it, eat pastries when you don't. It's convenient and comfortable.

"I just made this, it's still warm, have a taste."

Grandma Lin smiled, put down the vegetables, took out a red bean cake from the bag, took a bite, and nodded.

"As expected of someone who used to work in the cafeteria, it's soft, sweet, and delicious."

"What's new in the village?"

Grandma Li's eyes dimmed slightly. "Wei Er got a job at the electronics factory. It's all over the village now, and everyone's saying all sorts of things."

Lin Atai said, "I never interfere in Ayan's affairs."

"It will spread for a while, then it will naturally subside."

Seeing that she genuinely didn't care, Granny Li didn't say anything more.

There are always new topics in the village every day. In the past, people would talk about these things for a long time, but now the young people all go to work in factories and don't bother with such gossip at all.

"Grandma Lin, shall we go to the temple to pray tomorrow?" Grandma Li put down her palm-leaf fan and helped pick vegetables.

“Okay, I’ll get ready. We’ll meet at my doorstep tomorrow morning,” Lin Atai nodded and replied gently.

Of course she knew why Granny Li was in such a hurry to go to the temple.

Little Fatty is gone, and with him, her spirits have been taken away.

Of all her grandsons, Grandma Li dotes on Little Fatty the most and is closest to him.

Grandma Li responded several times, her smile fading slightly.

She used to be closest to her youngest son Li Liu's wife, but now she's too lazy to even look at her daughter-in-law's face.

After moving out and living alone, she refused to visit either of her sons' homes.

Grandma Li pretended not to hear what the villagers were gossiping about.

After living for decades, Granny Li has finally come to a complete realization: it's always most comfortable to live alone.

The sky was ablaze with sunset colors, and the village was bathed in a halo of light.

Smoke rose from each house's chimney, soaring into the sky before gradually dissipating.

On the other side,

After returning from the electronics factory, Lin Ziyan took a stroll through the seafood market.

I happened to run into Yang Yanzhou, who was there to get his dinner ready, so I went with him to the shipyard.

Inside the factory workshop at this moment.

Sara, wearing a safety helmet, is inspecting the newly built boat.

Meanwhile, Lu Yunshen was adjusting the ship's navigation system.

"Lu, are you sure you want to use this system? It's harder to adjust than before..." Sara had barely finished speaking when the adjustment was complete?

Lu Yunshen pressed a few buttons with his clearly defined knuckles, and the navigation system was imported and fully adapted.

He slowly and methodically explained the navigation operation to the technician next to him.

When Lin Ziyan entered the production workshop, she saw Sara's infatuated expression.

"Brother Shen, dinner's ready. I got some takeout from Wang Ji's food stall; it should be pretty good..." Yang Yanzhou, oblivious to anything amiss, continued speaking.

"I called ahead to ask them to start cooking, otherwise it's peak time now and it definitely won't be quick..."

Lu Yun Shen turned to look at Lin Zi Yan, his eyes brightening instantly, and strode up to her.

"Aren't we hiring today?"

"What brings you here?"

As he spoke, he took off his gloves, took Lin Ziyan's hand, and walked out.

Sara glanced at them, a flicker of panic in her eyes, and quickly turned her head away, not daring to look at them.

After she had collected her thoughts, she continued to inspect the cabin.

“The recruitment process over there has ended…” Lin Ziyan followed him out of the workshop.

The three of them arrived at the office.

Lin Ziyan opened the package and saw several of Wang Ji's signature dishes, raising an eyebrow.

"Is Sara's new work ready?"

She asked casually, her eyes flickering slightly.

Yang Yanzhou took his lunchbox, left the office, and went to find the other chefs.

Only the two of them remained in the office.

"Yes, the cargo ship you designed is complete and was just launched for sea trials today," Lu Yunshen said casually.

If he hadn't needed to debug the navigation system today, he would be at the construction site by now.

Lin Ziyan nodded slightly, and the ship was officially put into use after the trial voyage.

Inside the manufacturing workshop

After inspecting the cabin, Sara stepped down and looked at the entire ship, feeling a surge of excitement.

Her assistant handed her a glass of water and exclaimed in admiration.

"It's beautiful! It's finally finished."

"I just checked the orders; there's an order for 10 ships from Guangzhou."

Sara nodded slightly, a glint of light flashing in her eyes.

She almost let her emotions slip just now.

Now she finally understood Chen Niaoshu's feelings; it was hard not to be attracted to Lu Yunshen once you got close to him.

In the past, she would definitely have fallen into an emotional whirlpool.

"Sara, Wagner is in Fuzhou again. This time it seems he's here to buy land and build a factory," the assistant whispered.

Sara's eyes remained calm and indifferent, showing no interest in Wag's whereabouts.

All she wants to do now is design boats and then put all her creations to sea.

China's ship designers are very capable; they can easily be overtaken or even surpassed.

A new designer was able to modify her cargo ship design while avoiding the flaws in her original design.

When she first arrived, she was shocked by the cargo ships that were under construction.

It was an ocean-going vessel, with a simple design that met all the requirements for long voyages.
