Chapter 9: Kicked a long way...

Lin Ziyan put on gloves and began making hand-whipped lemon tea.

As she was bagging the items, she glanced at the young man, who was covered in sweat, and gave him some instructions.

"Don't drink it all at once. Let it cool you down a bit before continuing."

"We added a bit too much ice for you. The unmelted ice can help cool you down after you finish drinking."

The young man was just regretting that he should have waited until one bag was made before ordering two more.

But watching her add ice cubes, my eyes widened.

He thought to himself that the five cents a bag of ice was well worth the money.

Lin Ziyan handed him the bag and helped him insert a straw.

The young man took the items and left in a hurry.

She realized that this person must have come out looking for an iced drink and only came over to ask after seeing her sign.

"Young lady, aren't you losing money by adding ice like this?" the old man asked with concern.

Don't even mention that the man's eyes were glued to him.

His eyes were fixed on it, unable to look away.

"Grandpa, it's not a loss, it's all about small profits and quick turnover." Lin Ziyan sat in the small rattan chair and chatted with the old man.

After drinking the lemon tea, the old man felt refreshed and much more relaxed.

Before the two had exchanged more than a few words, several more people came out, threw down money, and asked for lemon tea.

Those people ordered a total of 15 bags, and even brought their own large black plastic bags to pack them.

Lin Ziyan was so busy that she didn't have a chance to sit down.

She prepared 60 bags today, intending to sell them at the market if she couldn't sell them all at the port.

I'll also give one bag to Sister Fang.

Several groups of people came out one after another, taking 10 or 15 bags at a time.

In less than an hour, her lemon tea sold out.

Lin Ziyan was quite puzzled. Wasn't there only 50 people at the port?

"Girl, there are boats docked today, and there are a lot of people."

"You've come at just the right time," the elderly security guard explained, noticing her confusion.

"Will there be any ships docking during this period?" Lin Ziyan asked in a low voice.

She was considering whether she should prepare more.

With over 1,000 in debt weighing her down, she had no time to think about anything else.

She can only feel at ease after the debts are cleared.

"Young lady, there will be cargo ships docking this week, and I heard there are even large ships."

"The number of port workers has increased significantly..."

The security guard didn't hide it; it was posted on the bulletin board, so it wasn't considered a leak.

He knew perfectly well what he should and shouldn't say.

"Young lady, you've come at the right time. Yesterday, several porters suffered from heatstroke and spent a lot of money at the hospital."

"One of them almost didn't make it."

"That's why no one asked about the price of your lemon tea today, and you even gave us ice cubes, which is much better than iced drinks."

Lin Ziyan pursed her lips, glanced at the remaining ice, and made a decision in her mind.

In this day and age, everyone has a hard time. There's no point in her taking the ice back; she might as well give it to the workers inside.

"Sir, I'd like to give this block of ice to the people inside. Could you please ask the foreman to come out and get it for me?"

The old man gave her a meaningful look, his eyes slightly red, and nodded.

Lin Ziyan covered the ice with ice and started packing her things to go to the market.

She was already planning in her mind how many ice blocks to make and how many bags to buy tomorrow.

"Sir, I'll leave the ice here. I'll go back now and return the sponge box to me tomorrow."

After Lin Ziyan finished speaking, she rode away on her bicycle.

Yang Yanzhou, who volunteered to get the ice, only saw a back view.

Lin Ziyan was unaware that someone was watching her, and rode her bicycle straight to the market.

She thought to herself that the cost of a bag of lemon tea was 10 cents and the profit was 40 cents. If she sold 60 bags today, the net profit would be 24 yuan.

The more you buy, the lower the cost.

Lin Ziyan went to the store as usual.

"Sister Fang, I'm here again."

"You're quite trustworthy; you said you'd come often, and you really do come every day," Sister Fang said with a smile as she painted her nails.

Lin Ziyan raised an eyebrow and walked straight inside to choose what she wanted.

However, this time the quantity is clearly twice as much.

"Wow, business is good." Sister Fang immediately noticed that she had bought twice as much as yesterday.

She casually quoted a price without even typing it on a calculator.

Lin Ziyan took out her money to pay the bill, ignoring her teasing.

Fang Jie didn't ask any questions and casually handed her a transparent cup.

This is what she saw the bartenders using when she worked on a cruise ship.

When she made this purchase, the other party asked her what she wanted as a free gift. Fangjie immediately thought of Lin Ziyan and then asked the boss to include this transparent cup.

Fangjie guessed that Lin Ziyan was in the beverage business, which could be seen from the materials she bought.

Lin Ziyan's eyes lit up when she looked at the transparent cup.

She's still thinking about finding a similar alternative as soon as possible.

"Sister Fang, I'll be setting up a stall at the market tomorrow, and I'll give you a cup then."

Lin Ziyan didn't stand on ceremony and said with a smile.

Today, Fangjie is also wearing a cheongsam, but it's crescent white with a light silver-gray pattern, making her look even younger.

"Sister Fang, your cheongsam is beautiful today, just like those of today's movie stars." Lin Ziyan didn't forget to leave with a compliment before she left.

She spoke sincerely, without any falsehood in her words.

Since ancient times, who doesn't like to be praised?

"This little girl, every time she comes here her mouth is as sweet as honey."

Fangjie smiled charmingly, her eyes sparkling with laughter, and continued applying nail polish.

There's a reason she thinks of Lin Ziyan when she's buying goods.

In this day and age, no one can offer praise so perfectly and sincerely.

Lin Ziyan didn't know what Fang Jie thought of her. After buying the things, she rode her bike home.
