"What do you know, you little brat?"
"Don't try to play the good guy here, I'm not falling for it."
Lin Ziyan breathed a sigh of relief, struggling to resist the urge to go over and wake her up.
"The worst thing for someone with myocarditis is not getting enough rest. Didn't you see his face getting paler and paler?"
She spoke sternly, and the room fell silent instantly.
Madam Jiang clenched her hands, not daring to raise her voice any further, and sat down on the sofa next to her.
Lin Ziyan walked out of the ward, and the onlookers kept staring at her.
"Young lady, you're really something," said the family member of the patient in the next bed as they entered the ward.
Lin Ziyan just smiled faintly and didn't say anything more.
If she weren't worried about Jiaojiao not getting enough rest, she wouldn't bother with such things.
Too much happened today, Lin Ziyan just wanted to get a good night's sleep, and deal with the rest the next day.
Moonlight streamed in through the window, like a thin veil gently covering the ground.
Lin Ziyan closed her eyes, and when she heard footsteps at the door, she became alert.
That old man is no ordinary person; he made those harsh remarks today, so he's bound to take action.
"Madam, shall we continue?"
Lin Ziyan frowned upon hearing the sound.
She didn't hear what they said after that.
The door to the ward was gently pushed open, and two dark figures darted in, reaching out towards Jiaojiao.
Lin Ziyan turned on her flashlight and shone it only on the man.
"Go back to where you came from," she said indifferently, her voice low.
The man raised his hand to block the light, but before he could react, his hand was grabbed, and with a snap, a sharp pain shot through his wrist.
"Go back and tell your grandmother that if she doesn't want anything to happen to her grandson, she'd better behave herself!"
