Chapter 1002 is not yet confirmed (1/2)

Cao Jun awkwardly pushed up his glasses. "My father-in-law and mother have this idea, but it's not confirmed yet."

The older women scoffed, "You're the only one with a mouth who can talk. Who's crazy to find a partner who can't take care of themselves? They're just asking for trouble."

"Auntie, can I borrow your phone for a moment?" Cao Jun shamelessly asked again.

“I don’t have that kind of thing. I stay home all day and don’t go anywhere. Why would I buy that thing? It costs money on phone calls and electricity. Isn’t that just a waste of money?” The woman refused outright.

The others said the same thing.

Cao Jun... He looked at the old woman and saw that half of it was sticking out of her pocket, and he stared at her and lied.

Old lady... what's wrong with you? She's already being lenient by not saying she wouldn't lend it to you. If she's being polite, you have to accept it.

Left with no other option, Cao Jun had to return to the courtyard.

"Where's your mother? When will she be back?" Liang Lijun asked impatiently.

"She went to buy groceries, we'll wait a bit," Cao Jun lied. He figured he had just given Sister Liu 20,000 yuan yesterday, and she had accepted it, so she must have agreed to let her father-in-law come over. She must have gone out to buy things now.

Liang Lijun was impatient but had no choice but to wait.

An hour later, Liang Guangming's nose was running from the cold. Liang Lijun rubbed her hands and paced back and forth, saying, "Go and see why he hasn't come back yet. What did he go to buy?"

Cao Jun ran to the door again. Several middle-aged women at the door were chatting away, foaming at the mouth. They coughed up a lot of sunflower seeds. Cao Jun walked straight past the women to the alley entrance.

"Even if his father-in-law waits until he's all dried up, his mother will never come back," the old woman joked.

"That old man is quite pitiful, being schemed against like this by his daughter and son-in-law."

"It's not as good as people like us, where there's nothing to scheme about, and our children are all more harmonious."

"What a waste to have ended up with such a heartless bastard."

Cao Jun waited at the intersection for another half hour. Liang Lijun came running out in a fit of rage, "Come back right now! My dad pooped again! Didn't you put a diaper on him? What is your mom doing? When is she coming back?"

Cao Jun quickly ran into the courtyard, without responding to Liang Lijun's words.

"Hey, you can't clean up in the yard! We still need to cook later. Don't make the whole yard stink!" Several old ladies quickly put away the melon seeds and chased after them into the yard.

Liang Guangming sat in his wheelchair, sweat dripping down his trouser leg.

"Ugh... Get out of here right now!" the older woman said, shooing people away as she felt nauseous.

“This is my home, why should we leave?” Liang Lijun was already furious and was not going to give in to the old ladies.

“It’s your house, go in and cause trouble, don’t make the whole yard stink,” the old woman said, hands on her hips.

"Auntie, my dad is sick and can't take care of himself. Please bear with us. Could you please help me contact my mom? When she comes back, we can go inside and tidy up," Cao Jun said.

“If you don’t contact your mother, who will? We owe you something. You all need to either go outside or go inside. You can’t stay in the yard.”

Cao Jun paced around in circles a few times; he didn't want to clean up after Liang Guangming in the yard.

"Let's go back first, and come back after we've finished getting Dad ready."

"You've soiled your pants, how are you going to get on the bus? Hurry up and go inside, your mother isn't home, smash the lock!" Liang Lijun was really angry, picked up a brick and smashed it against the lock.
