Chapter 216 Happiness (1/2)

After deducting the wages for helping the shop assistants and the travel expenses for the old man and the third brother, there was two hundred yuan left from this batch of goods. The goods from the two shops were theirs, not counting the rent. This trip was essentially a waste of time, and there was only a pile of junk left, which could still be sold for a hundred or eighty yuan.

The old man scratched his sparse hair and threw two hundred yuan to the third son, saying, "Please buy some genuine goods this time. It's a pain to travel back and forth. It would be a waste of time if you don't make any money."

The third brother happily held the money in his hands and said, "Grandpa, are you giving it all to me?"

"As rent. Don't say I rented your house for nothing then." The old man would not take advantage of the little kid. He was rich now and had more money than he could spend.

For so many days, there were no shops for sale near the department store, and the old man had not spent any of his money.

The night before departure

In the middle of the night, the third brother was frightened while sleeping. There seemed to be some movement at the door. When he listened carefully, it seemed like something was scratching his door.

The third brother's heart was beating out of his throat. It was pitch black and he couldn't see clearly, so he covered his head with the quilt and didn't want to pay attention to the voice. But the voice seemed to be provoking him, repeating left and right without stopping.

The third brother looked around and saw a stove hook on the floor, but nothing else that was handy. He got down carefully, picked up the stove hook, and quietly walked to the door, where the sound was still intermittent.

"What little devil dares to scare me? Today I'll let you see how many eyes the Horse King has! I'll dig your soul to pieces!" The third brother cursed in his heart, opened the door with force, and dug it up with the stove hook.

"Ah~ Lao San, it's me!" Zhao Xiaochuan's arm was scratched by the stove hook, and his face was distorted in pain.

Wu Zhiqiu and the old man got up quickly when they heard the shouting, and Zeng Laixi and Sister Liu also came out.

Seeing Zhao Xiaochuan and Lao San standing there awkwardly

"Aunt, Grandpa, there's a misunderstanding. I came to see my third brother for something!" Zhao Xiaochuan quickly explained, covering his arm.

Wu Zhiqiu looked at the two people speechlessly. What was going on? Why couldn't they say it today? Why did they have to make a scene in the middle of the night? They were just scratching the edge of the kang because they were full and had nothing better to do.

Zeng Laixi and Sister Liu saw that it was the young people who were making a fuss, so they hurried back to sleep. The old man wanted to give these two a good time, as they had no time to rest in the middle of the night.

After the adults left, the third child pulled Zhao Xiaochuan into the house and asked, "Are you so full that you come to scare me in the middle of the night?"

"How did I scare you? You fell asleep and I couldn't wake you up. Didn't I have to knock on the door?" Zhao Xiaochuan still felt aggrieved and his arm was bleeding.

"The knocking on your door sounded like a cat scratching! Left and right, then right and left. I thought it was a thief!" The third brother didn't want to say that he thought it was a ghost.

"If I knock on the door, the person will wake up!"

"You didn't knock, but now they are all awake! Only the one in the front yard hasn't come over yet."

Zhao Xiaochuan felt wronged. "That was all for you. You didn't even ask. You just dug it out. It hurt so much. How could I not scream?"

The two of us blamed each other, and we spent the middle of the night talking a lot of nonsense.

"What do you want from me?" The third brother yawned and finally got to the point.

When Zhao Xiaochuan heard this, he immediately wilted, "I was kicked out of my home."
