Da Shuang: "Let the villagers know not to pierce my spine"
"Whoever wants to say it can say it. If they have the ability, they can go and entertain them at home," said Carrie Lam indignantly.
"The second brother must have gone out to buy something. As the eldest brother, where can I put my face if I hide?" Dashuang was adding firewood to the stove. It was noon and there was no wind. The smoke coming out of the stove choked the couple and made them cry.
"Well, well, if the second son wants to show off, let him show off. But if he shows off, we can't even afford to send our own children to school, and yet we still put on airs," Carrie Lam said disdainfully while wiping her tears.
Da Shuang coughed and coughed. After all, he was reluctant to spend the money. Carrie Lam didn't want him to give up. It also made him feel a little uncomfortable. She was afraid that the old man and others would tell others about it.
The old man in the courtyard stood up and said to his niece-in-law Xu Guihua, "Don't work hard, go to Tiedan's for lunch."
"That won't do. Let's eat together. I'll cook right away." Xu Guihua hurried into the house to cook.
The uncle stood up, patted his butt, put on a sullen face, went into the room, cut a large piece of meat, took two bottles of wine, and locked the door. "Xiaobin, ask your mother to stop cooking. We are going out to eat. Watch my room and don't let anyone in."
The uncle gave an order and took the old man out of the yard.
Inside the house, Carrie stretched her neck to look outside and saw the old man with such a big piece of meat and two bottles of wine. She immediately ran out of the house and said, "Dad, Uncle, where are you going? I'm cooking and will be there soon."
Uncle and old man didn't even raise their heads.
"Hey, Dad! Dad!" Carrie Chung yelled. Seeing that the two ignored her, she stamped her feet in anger. "Such a big piece of meat, why can't you eat it at home? Taking it out to eat is such a waste. The children haven't seen meat for months. Da Shuang, look at your dad. I don't know why he is so proud of it."
Carrie Lam was furious. Why didn't she tell the old man when there was meat to eat? Now she not only didn't get to eat the meat, but also offended her second uncle.
Da Shuang came out with a dark face and said, "Didn't you say you didn't want to stay? Hurry up and prepare the meal. Don't embarrass yourself."
"Why shouldn't I keep some? Didn't I say I would cook? This is the financial situation at home. What did I say wrong? Why do I have to go out and borrow money to buy meat for our family? We have meat at home but we don't give it to ourselves. Instead, we give it to others. What a heartless family!" Carrie Lam cursed angrily.
"I'll go see if there's any left in the house, don't give it all to others."
Carrie looked through the window into the room. It was dark inside and she could see that there seemed to be a lot of things on the floor.
Her eyes lit up and she wanted to move a stool and jump in through the window.
"Auntie, please don't come in. My grandfather asked me to watch over you and not let anyone in." Li Bin sat under the eaves and stared at Carrie Lam.
"You little bastard, I took it and ate it myself, why don't you want to eat it?" Carrie Lam put the stool under the window and wanted to go up.
"Auntie, if you go up there, I'll call you a thief." Li Bin is 16 years old this year, and his face was sullen, he was not joking.
"Come down, aren't you ashamed enough?" Da Shuang yelled, he still had some dignity left.
Zheng Yue'e glared at Li Bin and said, "You little bastard, if I can't eat it, you can't eat it either."
