Wu Zhiqi and Li Mancang both nodded in agreement; they couldn't let the Song family benefit from the houses that had just been relocated.
"Then I'll trouble you to prepare everything," the third brother said politely as he saw the legal counsel out.
Chunni met Lao San at the door when she returned.
The third brother asked, "Second sister-in-law, why are you only just getting back?"
“I went to Li Fenglan’s workplace, beat her up, and publicized the good deeds she had done,” Chunni said viciously.
The third brother gave a thumbs up, saying that the second sister-in-law couldn't stand being angry at all and couldn't let a grudge linger overnight.
Chunni held her head high. In her dictionary, there was no such thing as a draw, only winning, and she would never be a coward and suffer injustice.
How are Mom and Dad?
"I'm fine physically, I'm just angry. That damned Song Shiyu," the third brother said with a gloomy look in his eyes.
Chunni: "Who was that person just now?"
Third brother: "My company's legal counsel"
Chunni: "Legal counsel? The ones who handle lawsuits? How about we make sure Li Fenglan doesn't get a single penny?"
The third son sighed, "The relocation of this house requires a certificate from the military. The house that Manman's father left behind will have to be split equally between the two of us."
"Why should we? Manman's dad still has to support Li Fenglan's stepfather. Whose family property isn't left to the children?" Chunni said incredulously. How could such an unreasonable thing happen?
The third brother said helplessly, "Second sister-in-law, that's how the law is. If the military can't provide the certificate, the relocated houses might have to be divided in half with the eldest sister."
"She's dreaming! What right do they have to split it? They're a family of utterly despicable people, their farts are all twisted and convoluted, they're a whole family of utterly immoral bastards who deserve to be beaten up!" Chunni was so angry her forehead was practically steaming.
The third brother said, "Second sister-in-law, since we're in court, it's no longer about pleading for leniency, it's about the law. Let's see how much our eldest sister can get. Money is a powerful medicine; it has a blatant effect."
Who would have thought that the honest and unassuming Li Fenglan would sue her own daughter? Although the man surnamed Song instigated her, Li Fenglan's own thoughts still played the main role.
"Let's see what kind of good ending she gets in the end," Chunni said bitterly.
Fenglan returned home dejectedly. Song Shiyu saw that Fenglan's hair was disheveled and her face was swollen and injured, so she hurriedly came to greet her.
"Fenglan, what happened? Who hit you?"
Fenglan leaned against Song Shiyu and sobbed.
"Tell me who bullied you, and I'll skin them alive," Song Shiyu said, though she had a guess in her mind.
"Shiyu, do you think what I did was wrong? I shouldn't have taken all that stuff." The voices of others kept swirling in my ears. The child was so pitiful. What kind of mother would accuse her own daughter? Those were things left to the child by her father. How could you have the nerve to take them?
Song Shiyu wiped away Fenglan's tears. "Manman has a good job now, a high salary, and her company even provides her with housing. This little thing is dispensable to her, but it's different for you. Look at where we live. If it weren't for your parents stirring up trouble between you and Manman, how could such a sensible child like Manman bear to see you suffer? We only need half, it won't affect Manman at all."
Fenglan thought Song Shiyu was right. No matter which house it was, just give her one. It didn't have to be a relocation house. It wouldn't affect Manman at all.
Song Shiyu continued, "If we could find Manman, we wouldn't have to file a lawsuit. If Manman contacts you, we'll withdraw the lawsuit. After all, we're mother and daughter, and you have no choice. Tell us your difficulties. We don't necessarily want the relocation compensation. We don't want all that money; we just want the old house so you can have a place to live, a place to shelter from the wind and rain, instead of wandering around with me."
