Chapter 936 Brick (1/2)

“You’re a medical student, and your eyes aren’t X-ray machines, you should at least go to the hospital to get it checked out. Even if it’s twisted, you need to reduce the inflammation and apply some medicine.” Li Mancang looked at Old Man Guan’s condition and knew it couldn’t be as simple as just twisting his eye.

"My mom went to buy medicine and will be back soon. There aren't any good doctors at the hospital during the Spring Festival. They're not even as good as me. Sir, would I harm my grandfather?" Changshun's son had a kind face, wore glasses, and was very polite.

Li Mancang knew the family's purpose and didn't believe their nonsense; this was a disguised form of house arrest for Old Man Guan.

"What are you saying? Don't talk about harm. If you're injured, you need to go to the hospital. Uncle Guan is so old, we can't delay. Uncle Guan, I'll take you to the hospital."

“My grandson said it’s not necessary. He’s a doctor, why go to the hospital? It’s the New Year, who goes to the hospital? It’s bad luck. Don’t worry about our family matters, right, old man?” The old lady stepped forward and tucked the blanket around Old Man Guan.

"I feel unbearable pain, I should go to the hospital to get it checked out," Old Man Guan said through gritted teeth. Seeing Li Mancang come in alone, he knew he couldn't force him.

“Auntie, you see my uncle wants to go too, so let’s go see him to put your mind at ease. Uncle, I’ll carry you on my back,” Li Mancang said, stepping forward with a brick in his hand.

The old lady never expected that her husband, who had always said he wouldn't go to the hospital, would suddenly change his mind and go. Could this old man still listen to them?

“My grandson is a doctor. He said that applying the medicine will cure it. Just listen to him. Don’t make things difficult during the New Year. Let’s have a family reunion.” The old lady blocked the old man’s way.

Changshun's son blocked Li Mancang's way, saying, "Grandpa, he's really fine. We'll take him to the hospital if anything happens. It's the New Year, and you must be quite busy, so we won't keep you any longer."

Old Guan made a gesture to Li Mancang.

Li Mancang raised a brick and smashed it down on Changshun's son's head, once, twice, three times...

Before Changshun's son could react, his eyes rolled back and he collapsed to the ground.

The old woman opened her mouth wide, about to shout, when Old Man Guan glared at her with wide eyes and tightly covered her mouth, saying, "Smash her."

Without thinking, Li Mancang stepped forward and threw a brick.

The old woman's face was covered in blood, and she collapsed on the kang (a heated brick bed).

"Go help the third brother," Old Man Guan gasped, enduring the excruciating pain in his legs.

Changshun, standing outside, was holding a shovel and wouldn't let Lao San get close.

The third brother wondered if he could throw a brick at Changshun to knock him down.

Li Mancang came out carrying a brick. Changshun had his back to the house. When the third brother saw that Li Mancang's face was covered in bloodstains, he threw the brick at Changshun's head.

Changshun quickly dodged, and the brick grazed his scalp as it flew backward.

As soon as Li Mancang raised the brick, he felt a sudden boom in his head, something warm on his face, and then he lost consciousness.

"Dad, if you dare kill my dad, I'll kill you!" The third brother, carrying a brick, charged towards Changshun like a madman.

Changshun was stunned for a few seconds; he hadn't hit him.

Seeing the third brother rushing over, he swung the shovel at him.

Another brick in the third brother's hand flew out and hit Changshun in the mouth, while the third brother was hit by a shovel.

"Murder! Murder! Help!" the third brother yelled, grabbing the shovel from Changshun.

"You're talking nonsense! You're the one who killed that person, it has nothing to do with me!" Changshun had two front teeth knocked out, his mouth was full of blood, but he endured the pain and loudly defended himself.

"That's my dad! How could I smash my dad? If you kill my dad, I'll fight you to the death!" The third brother was trembling with fear. He was brainwashing himself, convinced that it was definitely not him. He was no longer afraid of the shovel in Changshun's hand. His father's killer was right in front of him, and he absolutely could not back down.

The neighbors, hearing the shouts, ran over to check and saw one person lying in the yard covered in blood, while the other two were still fighting desperately. They quickly moved far away and called the police.
