Chapter 948 Eating Hot Pot (2/2)

The hot pot was delicious. Huang Mao, who couldn't eat spicy food, picked at the spicy broth with his chopsticks, while Xiao Yu'er ate without even lifting his head.

The two of them ate all the food on the table, leaving only the soup.

"It's so delicious, no wonder so many people line up every day!" Little Fish said, still wanting more.

"If you like to eat, we'll come and eat every day until you're full," said the blond-haired man, patting his dry chest.

"Really? It's quite expensive here," Little Fish asked Zhang Wei with her big, watery eyes, full of anticipation.

"You don't know what my family does for such a small amount of money, do you?" Zhang Wei said, raising his chin.

They met at an internet cafe; how would Xiaoyuer know what Zhang Wei's family did?

"You're not from Beijing, are you?" Zhang Wei's accent wasn't from Beijing.

Zhang Wei nodded, "No, my family is from Jiangbei. We own a coal mine. My dad sent me to study in the capital."

Xiaoyuer looked at Zhang Wei's head of yellow hair and wondered which respectable school allowed students to dye their hair.

Zhang Wei stroked his blond hair. "Hehe, I went to a vocational school. You can study there as long as you pay. All I have to do is get a diploma."

"Your dad is so good!" Xiaoyuer said with envy. Look at other dads, even if their kids aren't good enough, they can still buy them diplomas and spend money however they want. Why don't she have such a good family?

"It's nothing special, we're so full, how about we go to a bar?" Zhang Wei changed the subject.

Xiaoyuer has never been to a bar, but she's heard that all sorts of people go there. She's a little tempted to go, but also a little scared. She met Huangmao in an internet cafe, but they're not that close.

"Let's go back to the internet cafe. I made plans to play games with my classmates. Let's go tomorrow," Xiaoyuer thought for a moment and then declined.

"Let's go to the internet cafe after we leave the bar. Bars are so much fun, they're really exciting!" Zhang Wei, the blond-haired guy, blew on his long bangs.

"Let's go tomorrow. I already made plans with my classmates today, and we're going to have hot pot again tomorrow anyway."

"Are you scared? It's full of people in their twenties, both men and women. Nobody knows anyone, everyone's just doing their own thing, like eating hot pot. Don't think of bars as bad places, full of bad people. Can you move aside? Come on, I'll show you around and broaden your horizons. We can go stay overnight later."

After much coaxing and pleading from Zhang Wei, Xiao Yu'er finally wavered and went to the bar with him.

You can hear loud music coming from the bar right outside, and there are small groups of young men and women smoking outside.

Little Fish looked around curiously, "It must be very expensive here, right?"

"It's free to go in, and it's also free to dance if you don't order any drinks. Come on, let's go in quickly!" Zhang Wei pulled Xiaoyuer into the bar.

There was a security guard at the entrance who checked them and then let them in.

"What are they checking?" Little Fish didn't understand anything.

"You can't bring drinks or food in. They sell them inside, but they're very expensive. That's how they make their money," Zhang Wei said, pulling Xiaoyuer inside with practiced ease.

The lights inside were dim, the music was so loud you could feel the floor vibrating, and there was a stage in the middle of the bar where scantily clad girls were dancing. People in the dance floor below were shaking their heads and swaying their tails in all sorts of ways.

There were also many booths around, where people were drinking and dancing.

Xiaoyuer felt her heart race as soon as she came in, and her body moved involuntarily to the rhythm of the music. No one looked at them when they went in; just as Zhang Wei had said, everyone was doing their own thing.

Zhang Wei, the blond-haired man, got excited as soon as he came in. He pulled Xiao Yu'er onto the dance floor, and the blond-haired man started shaking his head vigorously...

"Learn from me, this is how to dance with style!"

Little Fish tried shaking it a few times and felt a little dizzy, but the dizziness, combined with the atmosphere, made it even more fun. Little Fish had learned to dance and imitated the movements of the girls around him who were dancing beautifully, and soon he was having a great time.
