Chapter 957 The Case is Solved (2/2)

"Yes, we went to eat hot pot, then went to a bar, and then went to an internet cafe," Xiaoyuer explained.

"Which hot pot restaurant, which bar, which internet cafe? Be specific," the police officer said expressionlessly.

Little Fish answered each question one by one, and by this time he had guessed that Yellow Hair must have done something wrong.

Police: "You two were together all night the night before last, without ever separating?"

Xiaoyuer recalled, "After arriving at the internet cafe, I fell asleep. When I woke up, he wasn't there. He only came back when I was about to leave."

"Police: What time do you arrive and what time do you leave?"

Little Fish thought for a moment and gave an approximate time estimate.

The police officers exchanged a silent glance, realizing they had the opportunity to commit the crime.

"Were you together last night too?" the police officer suddenly asked.

Little Fish shuddered again and recounted what had happened last night.

"He wants to give you a new phone and computer?"

Little Fish lowered her head and answered softly, but she didn't dare to mention that Huang Mao had almost done something to her. She wasn't stupid; if she did, she would be too ashamed to face anyone.

The police and Lao San basically guessed Huang Mao's intentions. Since the girl didn't say anything and it wasn't related to the case, they didn't ask.

It's pretty much confirmed that Huang Mao is the perpetrator, but it's still uncertain whether Xiao Yu'er was involved. The police need to take Xiao Yu'er to the station first.

"Third Uncle, save me, save me! I've told you everything I know, I haven't broken the law!" Little Fish pleaded with his third brother.

"You're going to cooperate with the investigation, don't be afraid. If you haven't done anything wrong, you'll be released once the investigation is cleared up." The third brother wasn't sure whether the girl had actually participated or not. He had heard the whole story, and it seemed that the girl had gotten involved with these people. If these guys hadn't gone in, it would have been only a matter of time before something happened.

Xiaoyuer was taken away by the police. Lao San contacted the police and went to check on Li Xingguo. Li Xingguo's vital signs had stabilized and he would be able to leave the intensive care unit today.

The third son called the younger brother of the Dong family and asked him to come and keep him company.

That same day, the police arrested all the thugs, including Huang Mao, and recovered all the stolen goods. The major case was solved in just two days.

The testimonies of several thugs all proved that Xiaoyuer was not involved. The next morning, Director Wang had Lao San take Xiaoyuer home.

Xiaoyuer was really scared after spending a day and a night inside. She huddled up in the car and didn't say a word.

The third brother took Xiaoyuer to the hospital and brought her to Li Xingguo's ward, where Dong Yun's younger brother was staying with her.

Li Xingguo stared blankly at the ceiling, his eyes devoid of any emotion.

The third brother sat down next to Li Xingguo and asked Xiaoyuer's uncle to sit down as well, then recounted what had happened to Xiaoyuer in the past two days.

Li Xingguo seemed to come back to life, glaring fiercely at the third brother. Uncle Dong Yun's eyes also widened in disbelief.

"Why are you glaring at me? If I hadn't noticed that the blond guy was acting strange and sent them in, you can imagine the consequences," the third brother said, his eyes widening.

Li Xingguo's eyes dimmed. "Thank you, Third Brother."

"What's done is done. Fortunately, nothing serious happened this time. The child is still young, so guide him well. You're more educated than me, so you should know how to educate a child. Reflect on your parenting methods. You've already come to this point, so focus your energy on the child." The third son said this and got up to leave.

Li Xingguo closed his eyes in disappointment, "Call your eldest sister over."

Dong Yun's younger brother sighed and went to find his older sister.

After hearing her brother's account of the child's situation, Dong Yun shook her head repeatedly. "Impossible! How could my child be hanging out with hooligans? Impossible! My child was just feeling down lately and went online."

"Big sister, the police took her away. Li Laosan brought your daughter back from the branch office today. Your daughter even went home with some thugs. Sigh, you should go over there quickly. You have to take care of the child. Don't always go along with her. If you do, you'll only hurt her!" Dong Yun's younger brother was disappointed in her, but as her uncle, he couldn't say anything more.
