Chapter 991 Not a Son-in-Law (1/2)

Old Guan nodded. Of course he knew that Sister Liu was a strong-willed person who had been running a stall for years and had even bought a house on her own. "I know. I don't need you to covet my money. I have money and I'm willing to spend it on you."

Sister Liu… “Don’t speak yet!”

Old Guan covered his mouth with a smile.

"Let's move out after we're together. I have two rooms..."

Old Man Guan quickly interrupted Sister Liu, "I won't marry into your family. I'm so old, I can't afford to lose face like that."

Sister Liu blushed slightly. "I'm not asking you to marry into my family. I have a house, so let's just live there. We're all family, so there's no such thing as 'yours' or 'mine'."

When Old Man Guan heard the family, he grinned and said, "We live in this neighborhood. All our old neighbors are here. We can chat with them when we have nothing to do. Isn't that great?"

“No, it wouldn’t be right for the two of us to stay here. If we miss them, we’ll come over more often.” Sister Liu thought that Old Man Guan still wanted to stay at the Li family’s house.

"Let's buy another three-bedroom apartment in this complex, and we'll still live here, instead of at Mancang's place," Old Man Guan quickly explained.

“Why spend that money? You can keep the relocation money for Xiaoyu as her dowry. Xiaoyu is not young anymore, we can’t delay her any longer. I will take care of you in the future, so don’t be a burden to Xiaoyu.” Sister Liu started to worry and ramble on. She had seen the TV program. Although there was an element of acting, Xiaoyu’s age was still a factor, and it really was a delay.

Old Guan felt a warm glow in his heart. "The relocation compensation is quite a lot. We can buy two houses. We can live in one, and Xiaoyu can live in the other. Even after we're both gone, the house will still belong to Xiaoyu. In fact, the house will appreciate in value. It's better than keeping the money."

“We can live wherever we have a place to stay. Why do we have to live in a new house? Give the money to Xiaoyu so she can buy a big house.” Sister Liu didn’t want to spend the relocation money. It’s like she was only after that money, which is why she was willing to marry Old Man Guan.

Old Man Guan held Sister Liu's hand and said, "Don't worry, Xiaoyu is my granddaughter. I won't mistreat her. Your two rooms are for rent and can be relocated later. If you're with me, you need a place to live. No matter how old I am, I'm still a man. You have everything that other men have when they marry. I will never wrong you."

Sister Liu's eyes reddened again. "Aren't you afraid I'll try to take advantage of you and sell your house?"

Old Guan smiled with narrowed eyes, "You don't need to calculate, it's all yours." He even squeezed his hands a couple of times as he spoke. If an old lady doesn't want to spend money on her child, how much can she spend on herself?

Sister Liu quickly pulled her hand back, "You old lecher!"

Old Guan chuckled and tentatively asked, "Well, then it's settled between us. I'll prepare two tables, invite all the old neighbors over, have a meal, shut them up, and then we can just move a bunch of things together, okay?"

Sister Liu blushed. "Too fast, isn't it?"

"We may live today, but we might die tomorrow. Every day we spend together is one less day we have, so we must make the most of our time," Old Man Guan said, grabbing Sister Liu's hand again.

Sister Liu playfully punched Old Man Guan, "Let's talk about it in a few days."

Old Man Guan tacitly agreed, "What do you want to do, son? Are you going to let it go or do you want to vent your anger?" Although this stepson indirectly helped him get a wife quickly, he still had to deal with him.

Sister Liu's expression turned indifferent. "If he doesn't bother me, I'll pretend I don't have this son."

Old Man Guan raised an eyebrow. Such a big woman had been kidnapped, ruining his big plans. How could he not come looking for trouble?

“If he dares to cause trouble, I’ll make sure he loses his job.”

Sister Liu knew a little about Old Man Guan's temperament; she didn't care if Cao Jun was making trouble for himself.

Don't say she's heartless; she's not as heartless as her son.

"What will happen to you after you die?" Sister Liu asked suddenly, her head bowed.

Old Guan was taken aback. "If they die, just cremate and bury them. What else can you do? Can you frame them?"
