Chapter 1095 Finding a Bargain 2 (2/2)

The receptionist glanced at Annie and the old man. This girl is so beautiful, why doesn't she find a rich sugar daddy to keep her? It's such a waste to let this old man ruin her.

Annie's face turned blue with anger. "Don't think nonsense. I'm just buying some local specialties from the old man."

The old man chuckled. "Yes, we're doing business. You can be my witnesses."

The young woman at the front desk nodded; they understood.

Annie was too lazy to explain and took the old man upstairs.

Once inside the room, Annie took out her phone to take pictures of two items and send them to her grandfather.

"Taking photos is fine, but it'll cost 20,000 yuan as a photography fee," the old man said, extending his hand.

Annie was furious with the old man. "If you won't let me take pictures, how am I supposed to buy anything? Who pays to look at things?"

"Look, I didn't ask for money. You can't take pictures, look for yourself. No matter how you look at it, I don't want money. I'm not an unreasonable person." The old man felt that what he said made perfect sense.

Anne: "I'm showing it to my grandpa. He's not in the country, so how can he see it if I don't take a picture?"

"I don't care, you have to pay to take pictures anyway." The old man sat down on the chair with his earthen basket in his arms, refusing to let anyone take pictures without payment.

Annie was furious. She pulled out five thousand yuan in cash from her bag. "I don't have twenty thousand, just five thousand."

"Alright, I'll take the loss. Go ahead and do it." The old man chuckled and placed the two items from the earthen basket on the table.

Anne, suppressing her anger, took many photos from various angles and sent them to her grandfather.

Ten minutes later, Annie's phone rang. "Grandpa."

"The product is good, you've worked hard. Send me a video so I can take another look." The old man's tone indicated that he was in a good mood.

"Okay, Grandpa."

Annie posted a video in which a blue-eyed old man asked Annie to pick up two things and examine them closely.

Half an hour later, the old man selling the goods yawned impatiently, "That's enough. You've touched my stuff so much that it's rotten and has oxidized, which will affect its preservation."

A laugh came from the other end of the phone: "Brother, I really like this thing. Could you part with it?"

"Your old face is wrinkled more than the coastline, and you still call me 'old brother'? You're shameless!"

The voice on the other end stopped abruptly, like a goose being choked.

"Sir, how much are you planning to sell this for?" The other person's tone was somewhat indifferent, clearly indicating some displeasure.

The old man gave a straightforward offer of "twenty-five million".

“Didn’t you just sell those three people for twenty million?” Annie immediately asked.

“Even if I sell it to them for a million, they still can’t buy it. That price is just a game. They can quote whatever they want. If you’re not happy about it, I’ll go tell them a hundred million later,” the old man said confidently.

Annie was so angry she saw stars.

"I can tell you guys know your stuff. I have some more good stuff to offer."

The person on the other end showed interest. "Sir, is there anything else you need?"

Old man: "That depends on how much money you have. Can you afford 25 million?"

The person opposite chuckled lightly, "No problem."

"Alright, these two Tang tri-color glazed pottery pieces are set at 25 million." The old man set the price directly.

Anne...

The person opposite said, "Sir, don't rush, let's look at the others."

The old man pulled a scroll painting, titled "Five Oxen," from under his earthen basket, which looked quite bulging.

The other party was silent for a few seconds, then urged the old man to open it and take a look.

The old man held out his hand to Annie, "You can't just look at these ten famous paintings for free; there's a viewing fee."

The person on the other end was somewhat impatient: "Give it to him!"

Annie... not daring to disturb her grandfather's mood, took out another five thousand.

The old man shook his head, and Annie took out another ten thousand.
