Li Xingguo's eyes widened. "Impossible! Impossible! I'm the eldest son in the family. I should get the lion's share of my parents' assets. How could they possibly give it to you? Impossible!"
"I'd rather be a turtle in my next life than be in the same pit as you, you idiot. Are you going or not? I don't have time to argue with you." The second brother was too lazy to deal with him anymore.
"I'm going to ask Mom and Dad, why? I'm the eldest son! Why weren't I informed when they divided the inheritance? Why are you getting a share? Why?" Li Xingguo gasped for breath, extremely angry.
"It's their property, they can give it to whomever they want," Young Master Bai said casually.
Li Xingguo glared at Young Master Bai and said, "It's none of your business as an outsider to interfere in our family affairs."
Young Master Bai: "If you had that kind of energy, you could go into the Lotus Lantern and rescue the Third Holy Mother; perhaps you'd find great fortune there."
The second child said, "There is a difference between dreams and wishful thinking."
The two of them took turns mocking Li Xingguo.
Li Xingguo closed his eyes, took a deep breath. He didn't believe what his second brother said. His parents couldn't possibly have divided everything up and "sent me to the rented place."
The second son knew that Li Xingguo was a scoundrel and was probably still thinking about the family's assets.
Around 8 p.m., the second brother dumped Li Xingguo in front of the rented courtyard.
"I don't have any money, give me some." Li Xingguo hadn't said a word the whole way, but now that he had calmed down, he got out of the car and asked Lao Er for money.
"I owe you, I've given you your salary card, if you don't have any money, go get it yourself." The second brother stepped on the gas and sped off.
"How can your older brother still be so naive at such an old age? Decades have passed, and his tricks haven't changed at all. He has a human face, but a heart worse than a beast," Young Master Bai sighed.
The second son: "He was doing alright before, but ever since he lost money in the stock market, he's become a bit mentally unstable. He's been single-mindedly focused on getting his parents' money. Maybe the shock was too great."
Young Master Bai: "When the third brother sold the stocks, didn't you tell him? That can't be right. Even though we don't get along, we can't just watch him get stuck with them, can we?"
Second son: "We told him, but he wouldn't listen. He thinks he's the smartest, and none of us are as good as him."
Young Master Bai… “Even a dung beetle would push him over with that brain of his.”
Li Xingguo stood in front of the dark courtyard, looking in the direction the car had disappeared. His eyes were gloomy. A smug raccoon is as fierce as a tiger, while a fallen phoenix is worse than a chicken.
Li Xingguo entered the courtyard, went inside, and turned on the light. The house had all the basic necessities, and there was a neat stack of firewood outside. To be honest, it was much better than the house he rented, but it couldn't compare to his second brother's spacious apartment.
Li Xingguo lay in bed with his eyes closed, thinking about what to do next.
The second son is right. His parents don't want to take care of him anymore. He's been in the hospital and sanatorium for so long, and his parents haven't visited him. They've given up on their useless son.
He believes that his grandparents are so old and their property has already been divided, but he knows that his parents' things will not all be divided. With these things around, his second and third children will be especially filial.
So what should he do? He still needs implants and needs to turn over; he doesn't want to be burdened by those two peasant brothers for the rest of his life.
Li Xingguo was lost in thought in the courtyard when his second son and young master Bai arrived home.
"You're back so late, have you eaten yet?" Chunni had been waiting in the yard.
"Second sister-in-law, I haven't eaten yet. I've been out all day, and my second brother hasn't taken me out for a single meal. I'm exhausted!" Young Master Bai complained as soon as he entered the courtyard.
"Did you feed that bowl of noodles to the dog at noon?" The two of them each ate a bowl of noodles on the way to the sanatorium, so how come they haven't eaten anything all day?
Young Master Bai...have you eaten? Why don't he remember?
