"If I've already agreed to your relationship with your mother, why are you coming back? Just say what's on your mind." Xingping glanced at his phone; there was still time.
Li Hang: "Dad, my mom is a woman, she struggles to live on her own, how could she possibly support me? I was just saying that out of anger."
“You’re not a child anymore. If your mother isn’t capable, then you should support her,” Xingping said calmly.
"I still need to go to school. How am I supposed to support my mom? Dad, please don't be angry. I know I was wrong."
Xingping: "You don't know you're wrong, it's just that your mom has given you a chance to debut again, Li Hang. You think I'm incredibly stupid for scheming against your dad with your mom?"
"Dad, how could I scheme against you? You're my own father. I just don't want a stepmother, and I don't want our family of three to be torn apart. My mom really knows she was wrong. For my sake, please give her another chance, okay? Our family of three is what makes a family!" Li Hang pleaded pitifully, tears welling in his eyes.
Xingping's mind flashed back to his biological father's words, and he pondered them again, looking at Li Hang carefully. "Am I your biological father?"
Li Hang nodded blankly. Was there even a question?
Xingping pulled Li Hang to the bathroom, looked him up and down carefully in the mirror, and then sauntered downstairs, leaving Li Hang bewildered.
"Mom, I don't think Li Hang is my biological son." Liu Cuihua, still angry, stared stiffly at her youngest son who ran downstairs.
The old lady and old man rushed out of the house and looked at Xingping, asking, "How do you know he's not your biological son? Did your ex-wife tell you?"
“He doesn’t look like me at all, didn’t you two notice?” Xingping asked back.
"Is that all the reason?" the old man asked.
Xingping: "Isn't this reason enough?"
"Is there any other evidence?" the old lady asked, still unwilling to give up.
Xingping shook his head. "I looked closely just now. Li Hang doesn't look like me at all. Grandma, look, I have single eyelids, while Li Hang has puffy double eyelids. I'm so dark-skinned, while he's so fair-skinned. I have a long face, while he has a round face. I have thin lips, while he has thick lips. There's not a single thing that looks like me."
The old lady said, "That child looks just like his mother."
Liu Cuihua nodded. Xinghu and Xingyuan resembled Li Mantun, while Xingsong and Xingping resembled her even more.
“Even if he looks like his mother, he can’t be completely unlike me.” Xingping now feels that Li Hang is not his own.
"You don't look like your dad, you look like your mom," the old lady said, her words tinged with unease.
Xingping: "I'm like my mom, but I'm as smart as my dad."
Grandpa... if you have that thing, how could you be so easily fooled by your wife?
The old lady glanced at Liu Cuihua, "Is this child's stupidity just like your family's?"
Liu Cuihua... even her family doesn't have such a fool.
Young Master Bai, still half-asleep, upon hearing something about not being his biological son, sprang from the bed in a flash. His meridians seemed to open instantly, and he darted downstairs in a flash. He was as still as a virgin and as swift as a rabbit, his eyes sparkling as he looked around, wondering, "Who isn't my biological son?"
The old man looked at the young master Bai, who was only wearing underwear, and scratched his sparsely shaved head. Something about this was definitely not right.
When Xingping saw Young Master Bai, it was as if he had found a kindred spirit. "Brother Bai, doesn't Li Hang look nothing like me? I suspect he's not my son!"
Young Master Bai… He really didn’t hear wrong, he really didn’t hear wrong, it was so exciting so early in the morning.
"How about we do a paternity test? It's not expensive," Young Master Bai suggested sincerely.
"Do it! We must do it! Let's do it now!" Young Master Bai's words were like an imperial edict in Xingping. The emperor had issued a decree, so they had to go!
"Stop joking, this can't be a joke," the old man said with a serious face. Going for a paternity test without any basis would only damage the relationship between father and son.
"Sir, do you think Li Hang looks like a member of the Li family?" Xingping asked anxiously.
Old man... you don't seem like it either, but you can't say that in front of your daughter-in-law.
