Chapter 1013 Poor Signal (2/2)

Hearing the laughter from the other side, Li Xingguo coughed awkwardly. "Sir, I want to visit you, but I can't get into the community. Could you please tell the property management?"

The old man smiled and said, "That's easy. Xingguo, you buy a house, and I'll live with you. Then you can see me and show me respect every day."

Li Xingguo... If he had that kind of power, why would he need to contact his family?

"Grandpa, I'm having a tough time right now. I don't even have a place to live yet. Once I've calmed down, I'll buy a house and bring you to live with me. Grandpa, I miss you and Grandma. I want to come and stay with you for a while so I can take good care of you."

The old man... he's almost a hundred years old, and they're still making empty promises to him.

"Huh? What did you say? You want to fulfill your filial duty? Well then, just transfer the cash directly to my account. Nothing is more practical than money."

Li Xingguo... "Grandpa, I want to see you and Grandma."

"Huh? What did you say? Speak louder!" the old man raised his voice.

“I want to visit you and my grandma. I miss you both,” Li Xingguo said, raising his voice.

"Why isn't it saying anything? The signal is so bad overseas, it's even worse than back home. Hey~~"

"Sir, I'll talk..."

"Hello~ Hello~" The old man held his phone away, said "hello" a few times, mumbled "no signal," and hung up.

Grandpa Ge and Grandpa Guan couldn't help but laugh, "Your grandson misses you, why don't you let him come?"

The old man sneered, "He's just asking for trouble. He's been discharged from the hospital and has nowhere to go, so he suddenly wants a home. Even the King of Hell is wearing a suit now, and he's still playing the same old tricks on me."

"Your grandson is incredibly stupid. After all these years, he hasn't improved at all," Old Man Guan commented.

Grandpa Ge: "I reckon he's probably getting divorced again, and like last time, he's trying to get his family to help him through this difficult time. He's the kind of person who's lenient with himself but strict with others."

The two old men have watched Li Xingguo roam around for so many years, they know him very well.

"He's only hurt by being educated," the old man commented. "If Li Xingguo hadn't been a college graduate, he wouldn't have ended up like this."

Old Man Guan and Grandpa Ge both laughed, saying that the older brother's assessment was accurate.

Li Xingguo looked at the phone that had been hung up and knew that the old man was doing this on purpose and didn't want to talk to him.

He thought for a moment, then called Wu Zhiqi again. When he was a child, his mother treated him the best. There were many children in the family, and he was always the one who received special treatment. After he was admitted to university, he became his mother's pride and his status in the family was even higher than his father's. The second and third siblings dared not speak out against him.

I don't know when it started, but Mom changed. She stopped valuing him and favoring him. Instead, she criticized him. She wouldn't let him participate in anything related to buying land, shops, houses, or relocation. Instead, she treated the second and third sons, who were nothing, better, giving them a chance to turn their lives around. Their lives got better and better, and he became a marginal figure in the family. When did this change begin?

It was because he married Wang Yue and Dong Yun, and both of them were too greedy and calculating, which led to the deterioration of his relationship with his family.

While I was lost in thought, the phone automatically disconnected with a series of beeps; no one answered.

Li Xingguo rubbed his forehead. Last time when he divorced Wang Yue, his family helped him, and their relationship improved somewhat. This time, he was crippled, and the situation was even more serious than last time. Why didn't they help him then?

He didn't call Li Mancang, and Wu Zhiqi didn't answer, so Li Mancang must have the same attitude.

After much deliberation, Li Xingguo realized that his only option was to rely on his family. Whether it was divorcing Dong Yun, getting a prosthesis for his subsequent treatment, paying for Xiaoyuer's education, or dealing with stocks, he would have to rely on his family to solve all his problems. He figured his family would forgive him once they knew he was divorcing Dong Yun.

Dong Yun was introduced to him by the old lady, so the family shouldn't blame him for everything.
