"No one can testify. Just because you have more people, you think you can turn someone else's property into your own? If there's a dispute, go ahead and sue. Now, get the old lady out of here right now. How could you leave her here? What if something happens to her? Is this how you act as children?" The police officer sternly scanned the Zhang family.
Zhang Lao Er: "It's not a police officer, this place is going to be demolished, it's too late to file a lawsuit."
Police: "You haven't looked for it for over ten years, and now that the house is slated for demolition, you suddenly realize it's gone? Stop making trouble."
“We didn’t know, we only found out when the relocation was about to take the house away. My dad is gone, and now we just want the house back,” the Zhang family argued.
The police were speechless. All they wanted was to come back and forcibly take the house back.
"Officer, they think that because his father is dead, there are no witnesses left, so they want to seize my house." Xiao Ding felt extremely unlucky. How could there be such people?
Zhang Laosi: "You just lied to my dad and took over my house. You shameless thing! Let me tell you, even if my dad agrees to sell this house, it's not valid. My mom is still alive. If she doesn't agree, your purchase of this house is invalid. This is still our house."
The two sides argued back and forth until their faces were red. The Zhang family just wanted to take the house by force, and Xiao Ding was definitely not going to agree to it.
The police told the Zhang family to file a lawsuit if they had any objections, but the Zhang family refused. Several of the daughters-in-law lay on the ground and rolled around, acting like spoiled brats.
Chunni, with her sharp eyes, noticed that Aunt Zhang's eyes were closed, so she quickly nudged the loudspeaker.
The person with the loudspeaker was startled and quickly shouted, "The old lady is dying! You must come quickly!"
Xiao Ding hadn't dared to go out, and when he heard this shout, his face turned pale. "Police officers, you have to testify for me. I didn't touch this old lady."
"Mom! Mom!" The Zhang family rushed over, wailing and shaking Aunt Zhang violently.
"My mother is dying, and we didn't get the house back. My mother died with her eyes wide open in disbelief!" Zhang's eldest daughter-in-law screamed.
"Don't move! Don't move!" the police officer shouted.
The Zhang family wouldn't listen, and a bunch of them surrounded Aunt Zhang, yelling and screaming.
Loudspeaker: "Damn it, they don't want Aunt Zhang to die in our yard, do they? Wouldn't that turn our houses into haunted houses? Would we still be able to get relocated then?"
Aunt Yuan: "Didn't she die of old age?"
Chunni: "With the Zhang family making such a fuss, how can anything be clearly explained?"
Wu Zhiqi was speechless. "He's not dead yet."
By this time, the police had already called 120 (emergency services) and separated the Zhang family members. The police called out to Aunt Zhang, who was still able to move and had not died.
The Zhang family sat in the courtyard wailing as if the old lady were already dead, demanding that Xiao Ding pay with his life.
Xiao Ding felt worse than if he had swallowed a fly. Luckily, he hadn't left the house and hadn't had any contact with the old woman. Luckily, the police arrived in time, otherwise he would have been in deep trouble.
The ambulance arrived shortly after. They checked Aunt Zhang and found she was still breathing and hadn't died. They quickly prepared to carry her away on a stretcher, but Zhang's sons and daughters-in-law immediately stopped them, saying, "None of you can touch my mother. She just wants to die in the old house. No one can touch her."
The police officers were furious. Were these people even human? They wanted to kill their mother in someone else's house just to extort her property.
"I'm telling you, you're delaying treatment, you're committing murder," the police officer shouted sternly.
The Zhang family members insisted, "We want to fulfill my mother's last wish."
"Your mother wants to die on Mars, and you're sending her there too? If you say another word, we'll arrest you all! You can't just die wherever you want!" The police officer was really angry, and he looked like he would draw his gun if he said another word.
