Dong Wei nodded, "Okay."
The couple split up into two groups.
Dong Wei took a deep breath and entered the courtyard, arriving at Dong Yun's door.
Dong Yun had just hung up the phone and was about to cook herself a bowl of noodles when she saw her younger brother standing at the door. She looked behind her but didn't see her sister-in-law with the deadpan expression.
"Why are you here so late at night?" Dong Yun asked matter-of-factly, as if nothing had happened.
Dong Wei entered the house. "Big sister, you're home?"
“Where can I go back to? I have no home,” Dong Yun said sarcastically.
"Did you take Li Xingguo's hospital receipt?" Dong Wei asked.
"Yes," Dong Yun admitted matter-of-factly.
Dong Wei: "Why did you sneak back to get it without even saying goodbye?"
Dong Yun sneered, "What do you mean by sneaking around? That's my man's medical expenses. I went back to get it openly and honestly. Why should I ask you? What does it matter to me if you're not home?"
Dong Wei rubbed his face vigorously. "First, I paid for those medical expenses myself, so I should be the one to get reimbursed. Second, you and Li Xingguo are divorced, he's not your man anymore, you have no right to take his things. Sister, taking things without asking is stealing."
Dong Yun looked coldly at her younger brother, "Even if I'm divorced from Li Xingguo, he's still Xiaoyuer's biological father. You're not entitled to reimburse his medical expenses. So what if you paid for it? Back then, Li Xingguo found jobs for you two without asking you for a single penny. Consider this payment as repaying a favor, and we'll be even from now on."
