"Okay, you talk to Manman yourself," Wu Zhiqiu agreed readily. She agreed with Fenglan looking for her again.
Fenglan: "Mom, I don't know how to tell Manman, I'm afraid she will blame me."
Wu Zhiqiu was most annoyed by Fenglan's attitude. Life had been going smoothly for the past few years, and he thought she had changed.
"A few years ago, Da Laba introduced you to someone, and Manman said she agreed to let you find someone else, and she would be fine with us. Why do you still want the child so much? If you were really afraid that the child would blame you, you should have asked for her consent when you had the idea. What does it mean to ask now? She agreed, but you're afraid she doesn't agree in her heart. If she doesn't agree, that's not right either. Aren't you making things difficult for the child?"
Wu Zhiqiu scolded Fenglan a few times, saying things that made people feel unhappy.
"Mom, I didn't mean that. I just don't know how to say it," Fenglan explained with red eyes.
"What do you mean?" Wu Zhiqiu said unhappily.
Fenglan dawdled her way into Manman's room, where Manman was packing her things.
"Mom, I will report the day after tomorrow. I will come to see you during the holidays." Seeing Fenglan come in with red eyes, Manman thought that his mother was reluctant to leave her.
Fenglan was reluctant to let go. She touched her full hair and looked at the girl who was taller than her and had grown into a graceful young lady. Tears suddenly fell from her eyes.
"My daughter has grown up, and mom is so proud of you"
My eyes were filled with tears. "Thank you, Mom. I feel so happy to have you."
Feng Lan's tears fell. "If your father knew you were so successful, he would definitely be very pleased."
Manman helped Fenglan wipe her tears. When her father knew about it, she went to the grave to tell him.
"Mom, take care of yourself. You can't make enough money, so don't work too hard," Manman advised.
Fenglan nodded and said, "Mom, I understand. You should take care of yourself at school. Don't be stingy with your money. Mom has money now."
"Mom, you forgot, I'm in a military school. I don't even have money to buy daily necessities. I don't even have a place to find money." Manman stuck out her tongue mischievously.
"Then Mom will save it for you and use it as a dowry in the future."
Manman: "Mom, I plan to recruit a live-in son-in-law in the future, please prepare the betrothal gift."
Feng Lan was stunned. "Recruiting a live-in son-in-law?"
Manman nodded and said, "Yes, I don't want to leave home, so I want to recruit a son-in-law. Are you happy, mom? I will always stay by your side."
Fenglan clapped her hands and said, "There's no good guy willing to come to my house. Don't mess around."
Manman chuckled and said, "I'm just teasing you. How old am I? I have to train every day in the military academy. How can I have the time to think about that?"
"You kid, you even fight your mother"
Fenglan talked to Manman for a while, but she never said what she wanted to say.
Manman saw Fenglan was a little absent-minded. "Mom, do you have anything to say to me?"
Fenglan almost bit her tongue and didn't know how to start speaking.
He looked at Fenglan with full of confusion.
Fenglan gritted her teeth and said, "Manman, I found an uncle for you." After saying that, she didn't dare to look at Manman.
Manman was stunned for a moment, then understood what her mother meant. "Congratulations, Mom."
"Mom, do you want to ask for my opinion? I have no opinion. As long as he has good character and you like him, that's fine." Mom sincerely held Fenglan's hand.
Fenglan's tears fell again. "I'll bring him here tomorrow for you to see."
"Mom, I'm here to help you check. I won't agree if it doesn't treat you well," he said in a teasing tone.
Feng Lan's face flushed. "You little girl, you're such a ghost."
"Mom, who introduced you to that uncle of mine? He's from Beijing, right? What does he do?" Manman attaches great importance to the new partner her mother finds, as it concerns her mother's happiness for the rest of her life.
