Wu Zhiqiu also called Fenglan over and asked her to live with them in the big house. The house was empty with only three people living there. She was a little worried about leaving the mother and daughter there. Xingyuan moved away after getting married, so it would be better for the mother and daughter to live with them.
"Mom, we won't live here anymore. It's not good for our brothers if a girl goes back to her parents' home to live. " Fenglan was reluctant to see her parents move away. They lived close by and she could come back often after get off work. If they were far away, it would be inconvenient.
"Are you the King of Hell? Can you turn our home into the underworld? What nonsense are you talking about? Go home and rent out your house. Bring Manman to live with us. The third child has his own house and will move out after getting married. If you want to find someone else, you can move out later."
"Mom, I won't look for it anymore..."
"Don't talk nonsense. Why don't you look for someone when you are young? If you meet the right one, find one. If you are not sure, just leave her with me. She and Xiaoyu can be a companion." Wu Zhiqiu looked at the stubborn girl and felt a headache. She was already in her thirties and she didn't want to look for someone. Parents and children cannot be as understanding as the other half. But if she is someone like Fengchun who helps the poor, then forget it. It's fine to be alone.
Fenglan lives a frugal life and doesn't buy meat for ten days or half a month. Wu Zhiqiu feels sorry for the skinny mother and daughter.
"Go back home and pack up and bring some clothes with you. The young master has bought all the things over there. You don't need to bring anything. You can move with us later." Wu Zhiqiu sent Fenglan back home to pack up.
Fenglan wanted to say something, but Wu Zhiqiu's eyes narrowed and Fenglan immediately walked away.
On the day of moving, Wu Zhiqiu and Mancang planned to ride their bicycles to make a few trips to move the clothes and other things. But, early in the morning, Zeng Laixi came pushing a tricycle, and Da Laba, Sister Liu, Uncle Zhang, Aunt Zhang, Uncle Ge, Aunt Yuan, and Liu Cuihua with Xinghu and Xingyuan all came. The vendors who had set up stalls that day were no longer there, the breakfast shop was not open, and Old Man Guan did not go out to do business.
Wu Zhiqiu... "Just some clothes, we can move them slowly by ourselves."
"It's almost like moving. There are so many people living in one courtyard, and the neighbors don't want to help. What a shame." Da Laba's eyes were a little red, as he couldn't bear to leave his old sisters.
"Let's go to the mansion to open our eyes," said Grandpa Ge with a smile.
"It's not far. I'll come over to visit when I have time." Mancang also couldn't bear to leave so many good neighbors. So many of them lived here, they were like his own family.
"I'll go to Fenglan's side, you guys stay here." Zeng Laixi rode a tricycle to help Fenglan, and Uncle Zhang and Aunt Zhang also followed.
The old man and the old lady also came over with their bags.
"Dad, why are you holding a bag?" Mancang didn't understand what old man meant.
"You're like a blind man, what are you doing with the bag? What do you think you're doing it for?" The old lady thought that her eldest son was too tactless and was getting more and more hopeless as he got older.
"I'll let my parents live with us for a while. The big house is empty, and more people will add some liveliness." Wu Zhiqiu also forgot to tell Mancang.
He deserved it! He quickly took the bag from the old couple and said, "Mom and Dad, the house has been prepared for you, just waiting for you to live there when you grow old."
The old lady snorted. She was in charge of the animals, so how could she not know their tempers? Her eldest son didn't even think about them.
There wasn't much stuff in the first place, so they loaded it onto a tricycle. Wu Zhiqiu and Mancang carried some of it, and they could cross the river in one trip.
As soon as the group of people walked out of the gate, they saw Xiao Liu, the street manager of their alley, leading an old man in tattered clothes. The old man wore a tattered hat, had a gray beard, and had wrinkles on his face. He was hunched over, with his hands stuffed into a tattered cotton jacket. The jacket was shiny black, with the black cotton showing in several places. He was wearing big black cotton trousers, and it seemed that the trousers were not pulled up, with the crotch dangling at the bollingey, and he was wearing cotton shoes with exposed toes.
"Xiao Liu, what are you doing?" Uncle Ge greeted him enthusiastically.
