Chapter 1055 No Lingering Feelings (1/2)

The old nurse said, "Of course! If he's discharged, I won't have any patients anymore. If I don't have patients, I might lose my job. Oh dear, Li Xingguo isn't fully recovered yet. Why don't you let him stay a little longer?" There was no lingering affection for Li Xingguo in the old nurse's eyes, only a desire for money.

Young Master Bai never expected this reason. This sanatorium isn't exactly a proper sanatorium, is it?

Young Master Bai looked at the second son with suspicion.

“This place offers one-on-one service. I chose the best sanatorium for my eldest brother,” the second brother said, walking in with his hands behind his back.

Young Master Bai didn't believe the second brother's nonsense at all; the most cunning one in the family was Li Lao Er.

The doctor was also reluctant to part with Li Xingguo and tried to persuade him to stay, but the second son was determined to be discharged immediately.

Amidst the reluctant gazes of the doctors and nurses, the second son completed his discharge procedures, took his medical records, and left the sanatorium.

Young Master Bai: "Business at this sanatorium is a bit slow. How did you find this place, Second Brother? Was it some old monk who had left the monastic life who recommended it to you?"

"Where did you see the Buddhist temple? I found it in a pop-up ad on a webpage," the second brother told the truth.

Young Master Bai: "No wonder business is so bad. The advertising is not targeted at all. Putting up small ads in the toilets of the neurology department of the hospital would be more effective than this."

"You don't own any shares, so why are you worrying about it?"

The two talked as they drove back.

Before they had gone far, Li Xingguo jumped out from the roadside and blocked their way.

"This road is mine, this tree is mine, if you want to pass, leave your toll." - Voiceover by Young Master Bai.

The second brother parked the car, and Li Xingguo opened the door and got in.

The second son and Li Xingguo stared at each other blankly.

What are you doing up here?

"You've brought me here for months, you have to give me an explanation!" Li Xingguo's tone was different now, laced with threat.

The second son laughed. "You think I want to take care of you? Let me tell you, you're mentally ill now. You're divorced, so your parents are your guardians. They're old, so I can only exercise their guardianship rights on their behalf. If you're not better, I can send you back right away. The doctors and nurses there would be quite happy to have you."

"You're talking nonsense! I'm not sick at all. You deliberately put me in this place to torture me. I'm going to sue you!" Li Xingguo was driven crazy by the torment he had endured for the past two months, and he was filled with rage.

"Whether you're sick or not isn't up to you to decide, it's up to the professional doctors. If you want to sue me, go ahead and see if you come back here or if I end up in jail," the second brother said with a forced smile.

Li Xingguo: "Don't try to scare me. Do you think I don't know whether I'm sick or not? Don't think you can do whatever you want just because you have a little money to bribe a doctor. If you treat me like this, don't blame me for being ruthless."
